the best thing about Martino's is their T cakes. Everything else is baked in another bakery and brought to Martinos to sell. Now they have gelato and it taste good but they're not very generous with their scoops they hardly give you any and it's expensive. More...

I still can't believe I haven't done a review of this place! Martinos bakery has been around for years. They have the same quality as Porto's, however their selection is much smaller with much smaller lines. I usually get the T cakes which contain a yellow colored icing on top of a square shaped muffin. This muffin is pure gold, the taste and price for it is not bad at all. It is a sugar rush dessert that is super delicious. The price for a dozen is around the $10 price tag. Inside, on the left they have cakes, tables that provide cookies that are in packs of 12 for about 6$. They have gelato ice cream and several other delicacies including the upside down pineapple cake and red velvet cookies. The chairs and tables provided are similar to what is offered in Starbucks. Outside, there are enough parking spaces for about 20 cars and it is gated. The building is located on a corner in Burbank and the building is blue. You get free WiFi and air conditioning as well inside. Personally, this place is one of those unique and rare places to have such good high quality items for a fair price. More...

Great place to work on your laptop while waiting for your car wash at Magnolia to finish. Buy some things, plug into the outlet, and enjoy the WiFi connection (password printed on your receipt). There aren't a lot of outlets, but there weren't a lot of people when I was there on a weekday afternoon either. You can get really tasty and cute snacks here for really good prices. I got an iced coffee, a Spinach Croissant, and even a totally impulse buy Cake Pop for $10 total. The croissant was hearty, delicious, and filling. I knew I wouldn't REALLY need the cake pop, but just look at the damn thing. Seeing that through its window is like going "just to visit" a cute puppy you're thinking about adopting. Once you see it give you those big ole "Love meee" cake pop eyes, you can't really resist, can you? Out comes the wallet, you suckered me in.All in all a great place. And the people greet you with a smile and are happy when you're excited about their stuff. More...

Martino's is a classic bakery. They have danishes, cookies, cupcakes and muffins all made in house. Gelato and cakes and pies add to their portfolio. They may not have the largest selection in town, but everything they do,they excel at, especially their tea cakes. They have been around Burbank many years, the name Martino's stands for good quality eats. More...

So we go here to get their tea cakes. Well a friend asked if we have ever had the Mexican Wedding cookies? Well we tried them this weekend. Wow if you love a great cookie this is the one. We are trying to make them last but don't think we can. They are crumbly and just sweet enough but not too sweet. I really don't think I can describe it with justice. This is a great cookie. We can't wait to share them with everybody we know. Go in and try them. More...

Dropped by to get a gift of baked goods for some friends. They're were very helpful when asked for their recommendations. I tried the tea cake as I've seen them around and never had one . It was delicious, right balance of sweet, not overly sweet. I could imagine having one with coffee, or I guess tea, would be really good. Got a response from my friend and they mentioned how awesome the churro cupcake was. Now I'll have to go back and grab one for myself :) More...

If you're ever at the car wash in this area, or you just feel like picking up some sweets- this place is great. It's a lower price point than some more hip places, and you'll get what you pay for. However, the baked goods here are not to be laughed at during this time where all the small shops are turning into hip coffee places. The tea cakes here are so popular that they have them prepared already by the half dozen behind the counter. I really recommend them. I've also had the apple covered cinnamon rolls, and on their own they are good but heated up they are amazing. I'm not sure about the other baked goods- I tend to opt for less "packed with sugar/covered in frosting" type sweets, which I feel like this place has more of. So if that's your thing definitely check it out (and if not try the two I suggested)! There's a parking lot which makes picking up some baked goods easy, and the staff is always really friendly (there's also almost always water to the far side of the counter). This store has been in Burbank for awhile, and I hope it continues to stay for a long time! More...

I have been going to Martino's since I was a child when they were over on Alameda and Main and we paid .25 cents per tea cake. Now they are $1.50 each and the jump in price is probably since minimum wage has gone up (everything else goes up when hourly wage is increased) but I swear it felt like I was just paying $1.25 for them. I love them, but truly they better put a cap on price for this little square cup cake if you ask me. At $1.50 each I think we've "tapped out." I bought four today and it was $6.36. There was United Bakery on Flower for tea cakes that could have kept pricing competitive but I just read the following from a few years ago:                  United Bakery 7/5/2016 -No longer open to the public! What a bummer! Been coming here for decades! Guess i won't be eating teacakes as much as i used to. Used to pay $8.00 a dozen here compared to $13.80 at Martino's on Victory. More...

Four stars since my family and I have been coming here for years.  The cupcakes and teacakes are great. We have always ordered cakes from here for birthdays.  Unfortunately, their prices have really gone up. If you walk into the bakery you can get a cake from the displayed cakes for $30 something.  Today I ordered a simple chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, no filling, no writing, no decorations just a simple border since I am putting my own decoration on the cake.  This apparently is a "special order" cake and it cost me $49! WTH?! If it wasn't for my daughter I would have just gone to another bakery. This bakery is good but honestly time to find a new one. Truly ridiculous. More...

Drove from Temple City with the mother-in-law.  She loves Phillipes and since the pies come from here she was on board.  We tried tea cakes first.  I would describe as a square coffee cake with a flat top.  They are very light and airy and not too sweet.  The icing on the plain is maple, but tasted like sugar, couldn't find the maple flavor.  Cranberry which seemed more like raspberry wasn't too tart and very delicious.  The blueberry was good too.  So fruit tea cakes get an A grade.  Next to the rugelach,  raspberry and chocolate.  Nice cream cheese pastry, quite short (as in short pastry) and very flaky.  I like mine with a crispy exterior and then a soft middle.  Good ratio of filling to pastry, B grade for not being flaky enough.  Since I don't care for the pies at Phillipes we skipped that and opted for an apple turnover and a bear claw.  The bear claw was well above average.  It is rare to find a true bear claw anymore.  I didn't care much for the almond filling, but there was plenty of it so I'll give it a B.  Overall a great experience and worth the trip.
