Oh. My. Gosh. Marlo is amazing and there is NO ONE who can do what she and her massage therapists do. I feel like a whole new person when I walk out of her massage room. Marlo's Massage is truly the best and has provided me with the most restorative massage therapy experience I've ever had. If you're in the Santa Barbara area you have to visit Marlo's Massage. They can sense where the tension and knots are, and have a great understanding of the body, muscle dynamics etc. The studio is serene, beautiful and peaceful. A friend recommended Marlo for deep tissue massage. I'm very lean and fit and most massage therapists don't know what to do with me. Marlo is one of the best massage therapists I have experienced. She can sense where the tension and knots are, and she has a great understanding of the body, muscle dynamics etc. Her studio is serene, beautiful and peaceful. I was massaged by Gina yesterday and she did an awesome job. I'm not from around here, but typically get massaged every 3-6 weeks, so I have a good idea of what I'm wanting and needing. We sat down and talked about what was going on with me and what I was wanting. I can tell Gina was confidant in her abilities and new what she was doing. 5 stars for Marlo and Gina, who squeezed me in last minute. I'm a tourist, doing a kayak tour tomorrow with my son, and my elbow has been painful in a tennis elbow way. They got right to it, clearly committed to fixing me as best as possible given that they only had one session to work with me. They did deep tissue, finding and kneading out multiple knotted muscle facia(?) supporting knotted elbow, and they even worked on a very old shoulder injury. THESE GUYS REALLY KNOW THEIR SH*T. BEST therapeutic massage ever! I was fortunate enough to receive my first Signature Massage by Marlo herself and all I can say is "Wow! ". I suffer from chronic neck, shoulder, and upper back pain and her body work technique really works! I felt immediate relief. She worked through all my knots and tension in my upper back and neck. Marlo and her team saved me from having surgery from sports injuries. Her technique is so effective that I consider only her massage therapy as part of my healthcare budget. I travel a lot and have been massaged in a variety of ways but none come close in terms of therapeutic benefits the way Marlo and her staff do it. I went three times and on the third occasion experienced Marlo herself. So extraordinary is the technique she has devised that I seriously suggested to my wife that we move out west in order to incorporate Marlo into our life. The deep probing and easing of knots and tensions should be prescribed by the medical community in order to maintain health and fitness.If she can put her technique into a book Id have a copy sent in advance to the therapists we go to back east.She is also, as it happens, fascinating company. My first experience with Marlo's Therapeutic and Sports Massage was at the Mission Location with Sheena. Sheena was very friendly and professional. Massages are an interesting experience i.e. getting touched by someone you don't know, but Sheena was great and made me feel comfortable and safe. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the massage was the best of my life. I asked Sheena about the modality, and apparently Marlo developed and teaches a style all her own. Sheena was very good at working overused areas without making things painful or causing bodily discomfort. The price was reasonable for the quality of service.
