I fell in love with Market BBQ at its Nicollet Ave location. Everyone can debate the style of ribs but if their style is your style you'll love it. I suggest getting rib tips if you're into a juicer rib option. Also, their new location is more intimate but maintains the feel of the old place. I came from out of town for my cousin's surprise birthday party that was at this establishment. The staff here were amazing, and the food was outstanding. I am one who prefers chicken over ribs, but I had to try both the chicken and ribs and I enjoyed them both. I know where to come to eat the next time I am in Minneapolis. I came from out of town for my uncles 70th birthday party. The staff were very friendly and attentive - they did a great job! !! The food was good too! The ribs and chicken were tender and tasted great! I was was expecting a buffet, but was told there wasn’t room upstairs for that which is understandable as the room was packed! I would have preferred paper plates versus eating off the trays. But other than that, I had a nice time and will definitely be back when I’m in the Twin Cities again!!! Thanks for everything!!! Very lovely brisket, pulled pork was excellent. The hot bbq sauce is quite tasty. Mashed potatoes and gravy are great, the gravy especially was really flavorful. Mac n cheese was wonderful. Only thing that was lacking in flavor was the cornbread, try adding real corn to it. It's very moist and tender but needs a bit of a flavor punch. I was a big fan of market bbq at their old location in loring park but I love the new location more! Same amazing wood decor and food even better! Best hush puppies this midwest gal has ever had.
