Enttäuschendes Erlebnis im Café Marin
Wir besuchten das Café Marin in Kusadasi, Marina, mit der Erwartung, ein hochwertiges Essen zu genießen.
Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Wir bestellten zwei Filet Mignons, medium rare, doch was wir bekamen, war alles andere als das. Die Steaks waren komplett durchgebraten. Als wir dies ansprachen und um Austausch baten, da wir ausdrücklich medium rare bestellt hatten, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass dies aufgrund der Marinade nicht möglich sei. Uns wurde sogar vorgeschlagen, ein neues Steak zu kaufen, wenn wir es medium rare haben möchten. Dies ist inakzeptabel, zumal der Kellner unsere Bestellung für den Garpunkt ausdrücklich aufgenommen hatte. Ein sehr enttäuschendes Erlebnis.

Disappointing Experience at Cafe Marin
Our visit to Cafe Marin in Kusadasi, Marina, was far from satisfactory. We ordered two filet mignons, medium rare, but what we received was a total letdown. Both steaks were well done. When we raised the issue and requested a replacement, as we specifically asked for medium rare, we were told that this wasn't possible due to the marinade used. To add insult to injury, we were asked to purchase new steaks if we wanted them medium rare, even though the waiter had explicitly taken our order for the desired doneness. This was unacceptable and a thoroughly disappointing experience.

Наш визит в кафе Марин в марине Кушадасы оставил крайне негативное впечатление. Мы заказали два стейка филе миньон на среднем огне, но получили совершенно не то. Оба стейка были сильно пережарены. Когда мы указали на это и попросили заменить их, так как явно заказали мясо средней прожарки, нам ответили, что это невозможно из-за маринада. Более того, нам предложили купить новые стейки, если мы хотим их средней прожарки, хотя официант точно принял наш заказ. Это было неприемлемо и крайне разочаровывающе.

İki adet orta pişmiş fileto mignon sipariş ettik, fakat aldığımız şey bu isteğimizle tamamen zıttı. Her iki steak de fazla pişmişti. Konuyu dile getirdiğimizde ve istediğimiz gibi orta pişmiş olarak yeniden yapılmasını talep ettiğimizde, bunun marinasyon nedeniyle mümkün olmadığı söylendi. Used to live down the street and go here 2 to 3 times a week. Solid coffee and bakery selections. Always found the perfect pastry to make my daughter smile and a good coffee to go along with it for her dad. Have been going long enough to get to know the owners of this family owned establishment. And they don't disappoint. They are always professional and courteous and treat their customers just as any customer would want to be treated.I don't write this review to boast about the pastries and coffee, or even the great customer service. I write it because I went to Marin Cafe a couple months after moving out of the area because I heard they make specific party cakes and my daughters birthday was only a week away. After a couple bakers fell thru and heard Marin made specific party cakes, I shot right over. I was treated with the utmost kindness and was in good hands to get the best cake for my special girl's 5th birthday. My go to place! The owner is a really cool dude, who is the one who bakes the bread and makes the drinks. He is so talented in making cakes and coffee. I actually don't like cakes or pies, but Marin Cafes makes the best pastries, such that I buy cakes and order pastries in advance. They now make sandwiches and champurrado, hot meals till 11 am too! I am a practicing catholic and if there is one thing besides tea, coffee, and dessert that makes this place a gem is that they embrace family. I come in and see the families relaxing that I feel like I walked out of my room into my aunts kitchen, completely welcoming and joyful to be alive. My mom who's super picky loves this place, and my dad who is the most demanding person in the western hemisphere also comes in to purchase baked goods. Marin Cafe saved me!! I ordered a cake for 80 people for a large company event at 10AM and they not only had it ready by 4PM it was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Next time I will make sure I plan better, but will definitely be using Marin in the future. More...

Just an update, 2 years later, and all I want to say is that their service is still amazing, and their cakes are DELICIOUS. Since our first time, we've ordered cakes and pastries from here for my dad's 50th birthday, my son's 5th & 6th birthday, my cousin's baby shower, and so on, and everyone is always very amazed with how great the taste and presentation is. My fave indy coffee spot. They have mini guava cheese ( kinda like Porto's, but lighter) for less than a dollar. I think they give a deal if you buy six. Came all the way from the San Fernando valley to get my car fixed when my uncle recommended this place. SUPER GREAT QUALITY FOOD! Me and my boyfriend had the turkey and avocado sandwich and it totally blew my expectations! I had the horchata frap while my boyfriend had the abuelita one and they were super delicious. Would drive out here JUST for those tbh. Didn't have the money to try their pastries but I'm sure those are amazing too. Found them through yelp and i'm so happy with the outcome! I've always struggled very much finding a good bakery that was affordable, (for cakes that are not extravagant) and that taste good. Called before hand to ask if they have cakes ready to go and the gentleman was very nice on the phone & when I arrived; another reason why I decided to go through with checking this place out. I needed a cake that was ready and my choices were vanilla and tres leches, I chose the tres leches and it did not disappoint. The flavor is very rich and the whip cream is not sweet at all. The cake itself was very light. This cake actually tasted like a cake and was not sugary, to the point where you don't even finish it. It had everyone wanting more! This place is the best! My sister and I had the turkey avocado sandwiches there and took pastries and coffee to go. While we were there, the service was awesome and as we left, it stayed exceptional. I asked for recommendations on coffee and I was given a sample which completely convinced me that their house coffee is amazing Everything we got was delicious and we will definitely be back for more! Went again yesterday 1/22/19 to get a cake for my Grandpas Birthday, I wanted to make sure it was a special well tasting cake because my grandmother would always get him a wonderful cake on his past birthdays. This is my favorite local coffee shop! The cafe is family owned, very clean, and decorated tastefully. There are a lot of great options for pastries, coffee and custom cakes. I've been here too many times to count whether I needed a quiet study space or to order a custom cake. I've referred my family and close friends to Marin Cafe for any special occasion cakes. I went in to buy my husband a tres leche cake for his birthday. I'm very big on using yelp to find what I'm looking for, hense the reason I came to this place specifically for tres leche cake. I wasn't sure if I wanted the mocha tres leche or the original tres leche, especially because I've never tried the mocha tres leche.The couple let me have a slice of the tres leche for free in order to determine which cake I wanted.
