**^UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW***Pam, the owner reaches out to offer her sincerest apologies for my previous experience. She was so apologetic and took full accountability for my experience with one of her staff members. She just wanted to make things right. She offered a complimentary Brazilian so that I could experience a proper Brazilian and personally waxed me. Pam is phenomenal at what she does and it was virtually as pain free as could be. She certainly turned my experience around and I will be going to her exclusively from now on. Thank you, Pam! See you today!! Went in for a Brazilian yesterday and it was the worst and most painful experience I've ever had. I am a seasoned waxer because shaving and I do not go well together. I have experience with sugaring, hard and soft waxes. I've even been waxed at 34 weeks pregnant which if you know anything about pregnancy, you would know it increases blood flow down there and makes you more sensitive to pain. Yesterday's waxing experience was by far much worse than that. I also instructed the Colleen to leave a strip and I was pretty specific, "pinky finger width" and by the time I grunted and cursed through the pain, I realized she did not leave the strip I specifically gave instructions for and waxed me bald and at the same time left patches of hair all over the place. Needless to say, It was not worth the money and I will NEVER return here. andwill go back to my usual place even though it is now 45 mins away since I moved. I would never recommend this place. Amazing and greatly accommodating!I booked super last minute they were still about to honor specials. Iris was amazing over the phone; super sweet. The two ladies at the front were so nice and welcoming when I arrived. Pam actually did my sugaring which was BY FAR the best Brazilian I've ever gotten. There was NO hair left and it was super smooth and not a bit messy! Since it had been a while I thought the pain would be unbearable but she is really quick and effective and have a courtesy "breathe" before removing the hair which helped a ton. I am hooked! I got my eyelashes done here after purchasing a Groupon and Alma did such a PERFECT job! I've never been so satisfied with my lashes. I got my refill Saturday and I've yet to lose a lash and it's Wednesday. The receptionist is also very sweet and doesn't make sitting in the waiting room boring or awkward while you wait. If you haven't tried sugaring, do so now! I purchased 2 sugaring hair-removal treatments on Groupon and the employees honored it without any problems. Calling them to book my appointment was easy, and after my first appointment, calling to have my receipt emailed was simple. They email you after you book an appointment to confirm and you can add it to an online calendar. I love sugaring and I'm not sure if I can ever go back to a regular brazilian wax again! More...

Let me start by saying I give a lot of attention to my skin and love to read and consider myself to be pretty well versed in product and services! I am a skin care nerd, no doubt! Regular facials, exfoliation, sunscreen and products.  I have addressed sun damage and hyperpigmentation with IPL and 2 other chemical peels over the yearsI wanted to review Marita at MPB because she gave me the BEST peel I have had to date! She is super sweet and I see her regularly for my lashes, but she has never been pushy with the other skin care services they offer... which I really appreciate! Last Friday I had the Lira Lactic Peel and omg- awesome! Great brightness immediately and the the peeling started and hasn't stopped! You may be thinking, peeling=bad... on the contrary you want it! Give me more!  It reveals fresh and gorgeous skin! The price point is great, Marita is lovely and the peel is fab! HIGHLY recommend, I will get another in Feb without a doubt! More...

Any time I call to check on available powder base colors when I have to get a refill for my Jane Iredale make-up they are always very friendly and accommodating even to go as far as going to The Woodlands to pick up my base color if they don't have it at their store. Pam was especially nice and accommodating as recently I was interested in a particular lip stain color that they had just run out of. She offered to drive up to The Woodlands to get it the next morning and to meet me at the store that afternoon. Well it was a holiday weekend and they were supposed to be closed but she said she didn't mind as she was going to go up to The Woodlands anyway for something else so it would be no problem. Pam was awesome!! I got the mink lashes and they feel so light. My eyes did get irritated from the glue and had some burning and watering during the procedure so just be aware of that if you have sensitive eyes. I had my eyelash extensions done at The Woodlands location by Amy. She is so wonderful. She is professional, sweet and took her time to make sure my lashes looked perfect. She seems to love what she does and can't wait to go back.  The place is also very nice. The decor is very chic and makes you feel like you are getting pampered just by being there.  Even the lady at the front desk is very sweet and makes you feel welcomed. I have not been to the woodlands location, however, I have been getting my eyelashes done at the Heights location for a year now and could not be more happy with the results. I go in twice a month or more and have always had a great experience. I have introduced two others to Maquillage Pro Beauty and they are regulars there now as well. I bought the Groupon for lash extensions.  I had had extensions before from a different salon and wasn't too pleased with the results, but I thought it was just the technician was too inexperienced.  My technician with Maquillage was very nice and helpful.  She applied my lashed quickly and they looked great... for a week.  Even though I followed all the rules my lashes still fell off and took most of my natural lashes with them.  I LOVE how the lashes made my eyes look, but I won't get lashes again.  It has nothing to do with Maquillage, which is why I gave them 4 stars.  My lashes are just too fragile for the service. Where has this place been all my life?! I am an avid tanner. However, this year I've decided to take the advice of EVERYONE and do it the fake way. STRIP CENTER BEAUTY?Just being honest, I wasn't expecting this average looking strip center location to be so dang beautiful on the inside. Serously the decor is so trendy/chic/pretty! Like it'd been plucked from the pages of Elle magazine. I've only tried one of their services - the airbrush tanning. While getting bronzed this way can easily get awkward, it didn't. My girl was very chill and professional. The whole process took about 25 minutes and then I was free to go. You can call or make an appointment online, which is what I did and it was super easy. I also liked that they had wi-fi (they'll give you their password if you ask).My tan lasted about 4 days full throttle - the less you exfoliate, the longer it'll last. I did it before vacation so I didn't workout/sweat in that time and I shaved before I went so...didn't have to do that 'till around day 3.The tan was even, looked good, and generated multiple compliments... pretty much all I was going for :) More...
