Maple Craft is the best builder in Columbus. They are a skilled team of professionals who not only are good at the technical aspects of their job, but they excel in engaging with clients.

We built our first home with Maple Craft, and were not knowledgeable about the process. Gary and his team were so patient with us and spent so much extra time helping us design something that made sense and worked with the City for us to obtain variances. Gary worked with us for months before we even broke ground.

When we had trouble with our financing he gave us advice, and patiently waited for us to get a new bank. They are communicative, kind, thoughtful, skilled, and all around amazing people to work with. They do such good work that there were not many problems, but when issues did arise they worked diligently to make them better. I honestly could not have asked for a better builder to work with.

Maple Craft built our home in Cheshire Woods Estates. Gary's knowledge and experience and advanced software allowed us to make design changes in person. The building process was as expected (not our 1st home build) with today's BUSY market. Buildertrend allowed us to be in constant communication with Tom, Shelley and team. In scouting a location for my dream home that had been designed by another builder I stumbled upon a ranch house under roof. Having created the "house" I wanted and after choosing all of the details of my dream home I quickly abandoned all when I saw "this" raw house. I in no way wanted a ranch however when I walked into the Maple Craft home I was blown away by two features, a massive warehouse looking basement and quality of craftsmanship. The walk-out was huge, with high ceilings, a beautifully roughed in bath, the possibilities for design, endless. I immediately scheduled a meeting with the builder, revisited the house with him and within 10 minutes knew this was the dream house and the right builder. There were a few things that I wanted changed from windows to moving walls, a kitchen island and eliminating a bedroom. Gary Dunn is a master planner and designer and ran with my suggestions further than I anticipated. I was immediately impressed with Gary's design changes, demeanor, knowledge and approachability. Gary redesigned many major components, absorbing a lot of costs and created a home that I couldn't have imagined. Along the way there were a few changes; I loved that Maple Craft has an owner/builder app that keeps the homeowner informed with a calendar and documents all in one place allowing for quick accessibility. Without sounding overboard my custom home is truly a show house, beautiful outside and in. After moving in a new home one expects some adjustments. The house is so soundly built that there were few that were immediately handled. Gary and his team were really great to work with. He was able to take our budget and make our plans for our 2nd story addition come to life. He was patient with all of our crazy questions and changes during the process. They were very attentive and responsive. Maple Craft remodeled my kitchen, powder room, dining room, and family room. They were professional, clean, and honest. This was a big project that involved taking walls down and completely designing a new space. They made me feel at ease with the whole project. They listened to my ideas and concerns and made changes as needed. They involved me with the entire process. The team was very professional. They worked very clean during the whole project. They were respectful of their surroundings. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog to roam, while they were there. The team worked hard, even on days I didn't put on the AC. Shelly would always respond quickly to my emails. I never felt like they were talking down to me, when I had an issue. We had our unfinished basement built out by Maple Craft. Gary, the owner, was the only contractor out of around 6 we consulted with, who actually followed up with us when he said he would. That was the first positive. There were many more: he quoted us the lowest base price which included materials to be used and permit and inspection costs; he started exactly on the date that was proposed at the time we agreed on; he or his assistant Shelley were at the house every day of construction to make sure things were running smoothly; the workmanship was fantastic as we were able to watch the process from framing to final touches. All contractors who entered the house were very professional and highly respectful. Gary even ordered a port-a-John for them to utilize while at the home. Gary and Shelley answered every question we had and made any changes we requested. They made any kind of minor repairs or touch ups necessary in a very timely manner. It was an excellent experience with Maple Craft and we couldn't be more satisfied. We will be contacting Maple Craft in the future for upcoming projects in our home. Gary and the team of Maple Craft are professionals who care about the quality of their work. They built our custom 4500 sq. ft. home in 2013 and returned in 2015 to finish the basement. Gary prides himself in a job well done and will not finish until the work is completed to the homeowner's satisfaction. He works with the homeowner to locate quality products, such as lighting, doors, and hardware, at a reasonable price and makes suggestions for economical and environmentally friendly products. Maple Craft was the builder and designer of our home. They did an outstanding job and would work with them again if I build another house. I give them my highest recommendation. Building a new house can be a stressful and difficult time but Mr. Dunn was super helpful during the entire process to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. Our contractor Gary helped us design and then delivered a large upscale sunroom addition for our home. He listened to our vision from the start and included every feature we wanted on the plan. He stayed flexible so we could make some changes along the way. By using online tool BuilderTrend.com, we could follow his schedule, updates, and track our budget. The architecture looks just right with our existing structure, truly an enhancement. There is a wall of windows and eight skylights providing wonderful light into the room. Gary also found our "glass floor" for our upper deck/balcony, allowing light into the entry of the room below, a most unique feature in Ohio. Gary added the new second floor deck and access to the ground via spiral staircase. The new sunroom has a 12.5 foot granite bar with sink and fridge for entertaining, and a wall that accommodates a 13 foot couch to enjoy our big screen TV. The new bathroom is my favorite, with jetted tub and bidet. There is new outside storage for our pool and gardening equipment. A new partly-covered wrap-around deck is the perfect look and passage to our back yard pool. The project turned out better than I could have imagined. Gary kept us informed and worked right along with us when we needed to tweak an aspect of the plan. He gave us the design we wanted when others could not see how to do it.
