Rachel shot our engagement photos in Chicago in 2017 and they turned out so fabulous! She was very accommodating as the day was looking like rain and we didn't want to miss out on the last warm day of Fall, but she brought a super cute clear umbrella and worked fast but did not rush us. She's so easy-going and made us feel so comfortable. This is the reason that I chose to work with her on a professional level as she now offers Mentoring courses. I spent an afternoon with her and learned so much! She is so driven, with a talented eye, and very knowledgeable from a business and social media standpoint. She also helped me with shooting flash indoors and harsh lighting outdoors, including posing techniques and tips. Rachel was the photographer for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding in February. We were very happy with both Rachel and her product. She communicated effectively prior to the wedding, and she was prompt and prepared on the day itself. Her calm, gentle nature made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. The weather was not great, but that did not stop Rachel from donning her boots and obtaining some beautiful outdoor shots. These are some of my favorites! She accepted last minute requests gracefully and captured such an amazing variety of pictures throughout the entire day and evening. When I contacted Rachel about some questions after the wedding, she was very quick in her response. What mattered to me was important to her. It is clear that Rachel takes what she does very seriously. It definitely felt like my son and his wife’s wedding was more than just a job to Rachel. Rachel was so easy to work with! She gave great suggestions on where to take photos. I went into engagement photos with no ideas on where to take them. Rachel was very kind and provided my fiance and me with many awesome recommendations. The photos turned out amazing! You couldn't even tell that it was super windy and freezing. I got married this September and was so at ease and overjoyed to have Mandelette Photography (Rachel as our main photographer) there to capture every beautiful moment. From connecting first off with myself and all of my bridesmaids at the house I got ready at — Rachel really made everyone feel at ease and very causally yet professionally photographed all of our intimate getting ready moments always making sure I was happy with the amount of shots before moving on. Then, she diligently and playfully joined the groomsmen and was able to capture the pure joy and fun had before the ceremony. The ceremony itself and reception went without a flaw— Rachel captured the beautiful and emotional moments of both my husband and me throughout the evening. She quickly turned the pictures around and got them back to us within 2 weeks. The pictures really helped us re live the most amazing day. To this day I still get compliments not just on the beautiful pictures but also on how wonderful Rachel was interacting with all of our family/friends throughout the day. We had the pleasure of working with Rachel on our engagement photos. To say we were impressed and overly joyed by the work she did would be an understatement. She is incredibly friendly, an amazing photographer, and a fantastic editor. She provided a unique perspective having worked at our shoot location. Rachel was also able to get the best out of us in what can certainly be awkward for those not used to posting. We also had our dog with us and not only was she accommodating, she was also able to get him to perk up, pay attention and created some of our favorite photos from the entire session. And to top it all off, she was willing to hang out after our time slot to make sure we got everything we were looking for. I wanted nice photos of my family to give to my mother for Christmas. Rachel was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy to have found her. My 6 year old son was not thrilled to have his picture taken and Rachel was patient and did a great job making him comfortable. Our photo shoot was silly, fun and gave us wonderful pictures. We are SO thankful for Rachel!!! She shot our engagement/save-the-date photos at a location she has never shot at and isn't super familiar with, and they seriously came out PERFECT. We could not be happier. She is not only incredibly sweet, affordable, and flexible, but she is very talented. My experience with Rachel was fantastic. My fiance and I had a small wedding ceremony with many intricate requests. That said, Rachel was both helpful and accommodating when it came to meeting our needs. She was diligent to get the shots we asked for, proactive to get shots we hadn’t thought of, and she was respectfully communicative throughout the entire process. My experience with Rachel was amazing. I have never done a photo shoot before so I was really nervous at first but once we got started, she made me feel comfortable in front of the camera. Rachel made me and my fiancé laugh throughout the whole time so we had a fun time. She has a talent for capturing unique and beautiful moments. She will go out of her way to make the pictures and the poses the way you want it. Rachel is very professional and responds right away; usually no later than 24 hours. Rachel photographed my brother and sister-in-law's wedding, and did such a great job! She communicated her plan of attack to everyone, made sure that all family members were captured, and was so 'savvy and invisible' we barely noticed she was there.
