I have attended a number of events at the Mandarin Oriental.
The decor is very well done and attractive.
The lighting is quite beautiful.
The service has always been excellent and the food very very good.
It's got a great location in the center of Boston next to the Prudential Center.

A very luxurious hotel but very pricey. Visited Boston during First Night 2013-2014 and had a great time. What an amazing time to visit! In room dining was delicious and a treat, the only thing that wasn't so great was the fresh squeezed orange juice, but they get a pass because oranges were certainly not in season. I came to this hotel during Christmas time, they had tea time hr. You would have to make a reservation before you arriving. I am not sure if they still serve tea time hr since holiday is over. It's a set of price like $65 person so it's kinda pricey. When I walked into lobby, the staffs greet me with a smile and even pulled my chair out for me. The waiter was amazing even she is the only that serve all the table and she is very knowledge with the food that's on the menu. No matter how busy she is, she would come back to check on us to make sure we are all set. Since it was set of price, it came with champagne, apple cider, top place was scones with jams. Very nice ambience with good atmosphere. The place is cozy and the place wasn't too packed for celebrating new year. The drinks were good but expensive. The server also didn't mention they charged an extra 18$ fee when my friend ordered a special drink. Other than that the place was not overcrowded but still lively and fun. More...

Amazing staff! Beautiful hotel! Delicious food. But, the SERVICE is remarkable! The entire staff gets an A+! The Concierge Team were unbelievably professional, courteous, and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and perfect! Corey Lopez and the whole team behind the front desk to the staff we encountered just passing through the hallways were so friendly and professional. I went to the hotel for Bar Boudon; a delicious brunch place. However, I did get to wander the premises. they certainly know how to decorate! Wonderful art and jewerly on the premises. Excellent service with the perfect location. Big comfortable rooms. However I do miss the welcome cookies. They used to serve tea/coffee and a delicious cookie when you first check into your room.
