I would definitely consider going back. I’m only giving 4 stars because I was so very disappointed in my sandwich- the Dodo- which my husband said I was a dodo for ordering a chicken salad sandwich in a sandwich shop. The chicken salad was actual chicken... but way too mustardy for my palate. I tried a bite of my husband’s Wildebeest- awesome biscuit and overall taste. The food at Mammoth is fantastic. The drinks are good, too. We went for brunch. I did wish that there were more options with eggs, but otherwise is was delicious. I noticed that there is a back area that looked fun and a bit more isolated - the front room is long and loud/echoing, space is kind of limited. Mammoth is by far one of my favorite spots in Seattle. I love the expansive tap menu with a ton of great options from local favorites like holy mountain, rubens, Fremont, etc etc. Their sandwiches are also bomb. I prefer the tusk but I recommend you try any of them. You can get them as a salad too if you aren't into the carbs/ gluten. New brunch biscuits are also really good if you stop in during the day on the weekend. But most importantly Mel, Chaye and all the other staff at mammoth are really what makes this place great. Great people, one of the best tap selections in the area, excellent sandwiches, and a great neighborhood. Mammoth is a sandwich & tap house owned by the same folks as Ballard's Bitterroot Restaurant. Mammoth has around 40 beers on tap, with a small selection of wines (one white, one red) and a small selection of hard alcohol. Sodas, house made and in the fridge, for kids and designated drivers. The tap selection is really good, with a wide variety. They don't do samples, but do do 4oz pours so you can test large numbers of beers without breaking your bank account or your head the next morning. Food is all sandwiches, though any sandwich can be also made into a salad. Vegetarian sandwiches are avaialble, but most of them run towards various types of yummy meats. Choose from one of the suggested sandwiches or make your own. Dessert is ice cream sandwiches. Pricing is reasonable. A sandwich and a couple of beers will run you between $20-30, depending on which beers you choose. You'll be full and smiling. They also have bottles, cans, and growlers for carry-out. More...

Sweet, hip, cool sandwich and beer bar on the Northeast end of Lake Union. Fabulous sandwiches and beers on tap. Great homemade chips too. Perfect place to meet for lunch or a fun dinner with friends. Staff is efficient, good looking and smart! I've been in 4 times now. I'll go back many times. Love the location too. loved the concept. staff was great. so was my predator sandwich and draft cocktail. happy hour was a terrific value. but why call bacon pork belly on the menu? it was crisp, tasted cured and smoked, so as best I could tell, it was bacon. to me pork belly evokes flabby, fatty + not particularly tasty. pleasant surprise that was bacon. might consider calling it bacon as it probably has better menu appeal. all and all five star thumbs up! will def return. A wonderful location and a well done interior. The sandwich I had was wonderful. Since I'm not a beer drinker, I was a little disappointed with the non-alcoholic beverage choices (a 12 oz can of soda wasn't enough for the wonderful, though salty chips and the sandwich). Let's see, I've had at least five different sandwiches, all of which I'd get again, as they are delicious. The chips are awesome, but should be more readily available to order at the bar as snacks. I've only had one bowl of soup and it was very good too, but if you're serving tomato soup at a sandwich place, give me a grilled cheese option. The beer selection is awesome and changes quickly. So, so close to 5 stars. If I weren't a dumb cook and experiencing mind-blowing places/dishes every-so-often, and didn't reserve the 5 star rating for such encounters, this would be a 5 star place. I'd say more 4.6/4.8 territory. Dudes were nice and knowledgeable, attentive, the beer selection gives a s#!t, everything we tried was delicious and what we asked for. The bread was the perfect blend of crusty and soft, the meat wasn't abused, the variety is on-point (will be back frequently for the build-your-own-sandwich feature), and holy crap the fried chicken leg.
