Recently I had a wonderful opportunity to attend a brilliant workshop on 'Empowering Your Students Through 'S.M.A.R.T' Goal Setting' facilitated by Sayeda Habib. This was not a typical run of the mill workshop where the trainer reads information off the power point presentation slides. In fact, it was a fantastic and a captivating learning experience for me.
What I really liked about this session was not only how Sayeda explained each concept with relevant examples but she also shared essential and practical tips to effectively achieve goals; such as, the imperative use of positive language when writing goals in sentences, the power of Visualization, trying out S.M.A.R.T goal setting strategies for ourselves first before coaching students and lastly incorporating the element of flexibility (Contingency plans), or self - compassion in the wake of unforseen events.
Sayeda has a natural flair for connecting with her audience. Her sound knowledge, confidence and compassionate energy make her sessions truly riveting. I would highly recommend SPELT to organize more workshops facilitated by Sayeda Habib in the near future.
