Mark made a good impression right away. He was punctual and very friendly. We hired him to do a magic show with balloon animals for my daughter's birthday, and he surpassed all expectations. He had the children laughing and cheering the whole time, even had my daughter dancing. She had a blast with the magic show... and then even more fun with the balloon animals. He made something for every person at the party, even the adults. And the best part is that Mark even had fun doing it, and made it fun for the rest of us. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
For me the key to keeping the party dancing all night long is "Interaction" and constant "Adaptation", I've been to so many parties and events where i see the DJ either sitting at a table or standing behind the table and just "Playing the music" and they think that's all there is to it, for me I LOVE TO DANCE!, and from what i've seen, it seems like a lot of DJ's either don't like to or don't know how to, even if the dance floor is completely empty and i'm the only one dancing, ill stay on the dance floor, plus learning different styles of music so i can adapt to my clients, i love performing and meeting and interacting with people and making them HAPPY and having FUN!!!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I am extremely HIGH ENERGY, I love to have fun, people are always asking me "Where do you get your energy from", LOL, I LOVE IT!
How long have you been interested in magic?
I'm 44 now and I've been interested since i was 15, so a couple of weeks, LOL :)
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
The party starts the moment i arrive, i get the music going and start dancing and people always join me and i encourage them too, then i do the show which involves a ton of audience participation and clean comedy. By the time i'm done with my show, no one wants me to leave :).
What do you love most about your job?
I love performing, meeting new people, HAVING FUN, and cheering people up! :)
What inspired you to start your own business?
Wasn't happy in my other jobs, now instead of having to put together a Resume and giving it to a bunch of employers with the "Hopes" of getting an interview, now i have people coming to me and seeing if I'm available for their party, I've even had people schedule my performance around their entire party, they will pick a different date or change the time to make sure i can be there, it feels great :)
