Ate dinner here on Sunday before a show at the South Coast Repertory.  Food, drink and service were very good but a little pricey.  Had a great waiter named Mark who was very sharp, witty and polite.  The place is a little hard to find even with GPS, but worth the extra effort.  Free self-parking was no problem.   Would go back whenever I'm in the area again. I ate here last night for dinner.  We did the 3 course meal for $42 (had 2 side salads, 2 pastas, & 1 dessert).  We had the lasagna and baked ziti.  I highly recommend both!!!  We took home the ravioli and lasagna.  The spinach salad was excellent.  We had tiramisu for dessert and it was a huge slice and good!!!  We were stuffed when we left!  We each had two meals with our take home pasta.  Also, we used a coupon so the meal was almost half price.  The service was excellent and I was able to get a last minute reservation so we didn't have to wait for a table.  I would come here more often if it wasn't so far away!!! I almost don't want to let this little secret out... if you're at The Grove, this is the best spot to duck into for very affordable Aperol Spritz's or cocktails. Slip in out of the heat and sit at the dark, cool bar to enjoy the company of Sal (I think that's how he spells his name), the bartender who has been there forever. He's is a super pro and all around awesome guy! Happy hour flatbreads are huge for $4 (plenty for two). Then you can order pasta to-go and take home to feed the fam for dinner. The ravioli and eggplant parmesan are especially tasty. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but this one feels more authentic than most, and I appreciate the fact they retain their staff like Sal. Plus, it's hard to find "old fashioned" Italian food in LA unless you're in Beverly Hills or on the east side (if so I highly recommend family owned Il Capriccio on Vermont). I came here with my ex a few years ago and we did the family style dinner and it was bomb! I can't rave enough about our experience. Everything was perfect from the customer service to every dish that we tried. All the food was good! We were so stuffed by the time we left this restaurant. I'm giving this place five stars just because of the Rigatoni D! :-) If you haven't been to Maggiano's, you have to try this dish. The creamy deliciousness is irresistible. The best combo is to couple this pasta with the Maggiano's House Salad. When you blend the flavors of these dishes with the free bread the restaurant offers, there's going to be a party in your mouth! Now, if you throw the Stuffed Mushrooms in the mix, it's pure ecstasy!The restaurant is located in Tysons Galleria (the mall with the fancier stores). The atmosphere is cozy (with Frank Sinatra playing in the background) and an excellent venue for any special occasions (e.g., birthdays, engagement dinners, and even weddings). The staff is well-trained (for the most part) and usually friendly. I never get the most friendly vibe from the host at the front desk, but the servers are great.It's a large (chain) restaurant so you're not going to get the same homey vibe you'd get at a family-owned Italian restaurant (Ciao Osteria in Centreville comes to mind), but the food is legit and never disappoints! We love their specials that you order one food and one pasta you take home free. Plus, the size of their food is big enough that you may not be able to finish it there. Went in around 6:30pm on a Saturday. They have an area they consider the bar area with tables/booths that don't require a wait, we sat right down. They hve a complicated menu so make sure to take the paper out of the menu to see the rest of it (I promise it's not just one page). They have an amazing deal an appetizer, meal dessert and a meal to take home for around 50 dollars for two (don't quote me on the price). That deal you cannot beat at all. Had the chicken alfredo, it was good but it does not compare to the lasagna I had taken home. The lasagna is amazing I would recommend adding more cheese but the taste is def there. The desert was soooo good as well hd the brownie with ice cream and strawberries, the fruit was so fresh. For the appetizer we got the mozzarella stick which were huge and delicious!! Great job Maggianos. Overall I would recommend people to give it. The venue is a nice size dining area, bar area and an upstaires which I assume is for parties. They have a live piano performer. The restaurant is not noisey at all either such a nice atmosphere especially to go for a drink. It's located at the Grove so paid parking, but they do validate. We have been to the city walk location and it doesn't compre to this one! This one is lighted, not crowded at all. When I walked through the doors of Maggiano's, it felt like I was meeting The Godfather in the underbelly of Little Italy. Jokes aside, this place was absolutely delicious! I started off with the Italian Tossed Salad. Very, very tasty. For my main dish, I ordered the Chicken Francese with hand cut fettuccine, which was bomb.com. Pro tip: they can make it spicy. I don't live in the area, so I don't get here often, but when I do, it feels like such a treat. Had dinner here to allow traffic to die down a little. Started in the bar area during Happy Hour waiting for our son to arrive. Cole made our drinks to perfection, such a nice guy, very humble and gracious. Had a nice interaction. Moved into the dining room, very nice and accommodating server, although I forget her name. Food quality was on point, we ordered Chicken Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Moms Lasagna. All FABULOUS! Of course, we had take homes and left overs, which they neatly packaged up for us. Right off the bat one thing about Maggiano's is location. Wherever it's upscale and convenient that's where you find this Italian-American restaurant. This place exudes classy yet relaxed ambiance with courteous staff receptive to one's dining requirements. We ordered Salmon Lemon and Herb, Linguine and Clams, Fettuccini Alfredo and Spinach & Artichoke Alfloro - all came with generous servings, freshly cooked and well plated. Perfect italian- american savory blend only Maggiano's can pull off.  We dined three times in the same LA branch and the place was consistently clean. We particularly like to dine in the evenings as there are plenty of room for parking. This branch is facing the parking lot. I would rate this venue 6 stars if Yelp would allow me! My wife and I had our wedding reception there a week ago, and it was perfect! The banquet team of Linc, Sal and Brett were impeccable!My emails were returned quickly, they couldn't have been more accommodating with all the little details I requested (and there were plenty LOL), and EVERYONE LOVED THE FOOD!Many guests told us this was the best wedding they had ever attended (we were flattered and humbled) and couldn't stop raving about the delicious food!We would do another affair there in a heartbeat! We did a surprise 60th birthday brunch for my brother-in-law here yesterday and it was absolutely perfect.  We made reservations for 30 guests.  We were seated very quickly.  The staff was very accommodating and helpful.  Since we were a large group we expected the food to take longer to come out but kitchen did great and got all of our orders out at the same time.  The food was so good!  Everyone was happy and most of all my brother-in-law had the best time ever! I came here with low expectations because rarely am I excited about Italian cuisine and I am especially skeptical of chain Italian restaurants. But I was very pleasantly surprised!Firstly, I loved the bread, yum!!! So fresh and baked hot for you. It was delicious to eat with the olive oil, I just wished they kept the balsamic vinegar at the table. I ordered from the Classic Menu pastas where you could buy one and then take one home, which is definitely the way to go if you want a good deal. So I got the fettuccini Alfredo to eat and the spaghetti with marinara to go. The serving size was much larger than expected, so that was great. And the fettuccini was fantastic! This was a great place to settle down after a day spent at the Grove. Pull out the "secret" menu from the middle of the topside on any menu, and find your way to the classics. For any order, get another to take home for the next night, at no added cost.I got Mom's Lasagna, which was exactly what I expected it to be with no strange twists. A tasty classic lasagna. For around $15, including the second meal that came to my table pre boxed and bagged, I couldn't ask for anything else. Celebrated my birthday with a large party of 23 guests. Maggianos was accommodating. The service was quick and the employees were kind and welcoming. We wanted to take shots of fireball and the employees went to the store to purchase fireball for us because they didn’t have it on bar already. I had a great experience and will definitely be back again. Also this is the second special occasion I’ve celebrated here. I brought my sister and mom here for my sister's bday. There was a mix-up with a take-home dish but I didn't recognize it until 4 days later. I called and spoke to a manager (Jeannette - sorry if I butchered the spelling) and she fixed it with no hassle.
