I almost skipped florals all together for my Chinese Banquet but I'm glad my mom talked me into it.I communicated with Lynda Tanaka at Royal Florist through telephone calls and facebook messenger. She was extremely prompt with her responses and took the time to listen to me and focus on what vision I had in mind for the event. I really felt like Lynda heard me and took my preferences into consideration and I was blown away with the results.In short, THE FLORALS WERE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and BETTER than what I had envisioned. I ordered a floral arch, bouquet, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and a floral piece for my hair. Lynda even took the extra step of ensuring each piece had their own clip so no fussing with bobby pins or safety pins. This to me was the personal touch and fine attention to detail that I loved as I completely forgot to bring bobby pins for the floral hair piece. To this day I am still sad (and somewhat regret) gifting away my bouquet. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it, perfect size, florals were gorgeous and just beautiful.I chose Royal Florist because it is an independent floral shop run by a woman who knows what she is doing. I was part of the decoration committee for my college graduating class and we needed a florist to decorate our stage but had a budget to stick to.  After calling many different florists we decided to go with Royal Florist.  Lynda was able to work within our budget and gave us many options to make our stage spectacular.  She always responded to my million questions and was patient with us.  She arrived at our event early and set everything up.  I was already expecting the stage to look amazing based on all our back and forth communications but she really delivered!  The flowers were beautiful and fresh and Lynda ensured that nothing was out of place that morning.  I was blown away and so was everyone else who attended our ceremony.  The result was better than expected!  If you want beautiful flowers for an important event use them!  I know I will :) More...

I ordered a Lei for my husband's college graduation ceremony that was at an odd time of year. I was referred to Royal Florist by another reputable florist in town that does not do lei's at this time of year. We received a lei of red and white carnations, as requested, that definitely stood out among the crowd. It was full and beautiful in comparison to many of the skimpy looking lei's that people purchased at the ceremony. Beautiful floral arrangement made for a house warming gift.  I walked in around 11:00am and described the occasion, types of flowers I liked, my budget and asked if I could pick up by 2:00pm.  I got a call around 1:45pm that my arrangement was ready and couldn't be happier.  The flowers were fresh and were a nice blended variety.  Everyone loved them! My sons prom was today and I totally forgot to get him a lei so I called up a florist that referred me to Royal florist.  I called around 12pm and talked to the owner who was so sweet and she said she can do it. I ordered a ti leaf lei, then called them back an hour later and a girl answered who was also very nice,  asking them to put  blue & white flowers in them.  2 hours later I picked it up and I was very happy with the ti leaf lei. Lynda did a spectacular job on our wedding flowers!  I couldn't believe all the beautiful colors in the bouquets, she even painted some of the flowers teal (since no flower comes naturally in dark teal).  The appointment was super relaxed too...she has such a wonderful "chill" personality and makes sure that your flowers are what you had in mind (although, what I had in mind paled in comparison to the actual arrangements).  She has a nice catalog of different arrangements, but also has great professional advice as what to add/omit (IE some flowers are in season OR some flowers wilt very quickly depending on the temperature).  Lynda was very flexible with our schedule as well.  My parents wanted us to order 4 "last minute" floral arrangements, so I texted Lynda at 11pm the night before we picked up the flowers, and she said "No problem!".    Cost was excellent and extremely reasonable.  She had our flowers ready when promised.  Lynda customized our flowers by painting them a beautiful teal.  Each bouquet/boutonniere had the appropriate name/person attached to the flower.  You'd be strange not to go to her.  I'm so happy with her, and it made our wedding such a beautiful one! Excellent customer service and quality product. I forgot to pre order a ti leaf lei for my sons graduation and called on a day they were closed and left a message. They called the next day and had the lei ready for me to pick up that day. They even let me come after hours to pick it up. Lynda and royal florist are the best! I have been going to royal for over 15 years now. I appreciate how all of the arrangements are made to order. I typically will call royal talk to Lynda about who the flowers are going to, the occasion, and what I'm thinking and Lynda comes up with the perfect arrangement. Lynda also did all the flowers for our wedding and they were absolutely beautiful. Lynda took the time to take me to the flower mart in SF on two occasions to physically hand pick all of the flowers in each and every one of our arrangements. She knows I'm a flower snob and very particular in what I like and don't like. I could not have been happier with the center pieces (2 different types), boutonnières, arch, and most importantly the bouquets...my bouquet! I just happened to be in the area and saw there was a florist there, so I walked in to get a replacement arrangement for a 1-800-Flowers order that went bad.  The store doesn't look like much, and at first it's a bit confusing...is anyone actually here?  However, if you walk to the back, the florists are at work.  I told them what I was looking for and what I was looking to spend.  Within a few minutes they produced a beautiful arrangement which my wife loved. We ordered flowers from this place for my grandmother's funeral and they were awesome.  We came in on a Wednesday and ordered floral arrangements for our family as well as our family overseas.  On the Friday of my grandmother's wake, my mom and uncle realized we had forgotten to order an arrangement for our family in San Francisco.  My mom ended up calling Royal Florist at almost 6 PM and they ended up being there.  My mom sent them a picture of the Chinese characters that needed to be written on the ribbon and the arrangement showed up at the funeral home the next day right before the funeral.Lynda provided awesome service to our family while we were going through a very difficult time and I'd highly recommend them. I Received a lovely flower arrangement from Royal Florist. They were in a very cute oversized martini glass. They have lasted quite a while and that was without having to add water all the time. I don't know anything about their customer service as I did not order the flowers they were ordered for me, but I have to say that the flowers did make my day so I would definitely recommend this florist to my friends. I have been using Royal Florist ever since I can remember. It's been a least 10 years and I have always been extremely happy with the flowers and customer service. Lynda goes above and beyond great customer service to make sure I have always gotten the best flowers and arrangements. We hired Royal Florist to do our wedding in September and the results were amazing! Before the wedding they just asked for our color scheme, and some flower preferences, as with potential ideas for our setup and they came through BIG TIME. With little previous knowledge about flowers (my wife, previously-fiance took care of most of the planning for this part of the wedding) I was extremely impressed with how well the flowers looked and went with our theme. She took into account that our wedding was indoors, and took in our desire to want to try to bring the outdoors in. My family's been coming here for years! We've gotten everything from bouquets to funeral sprays to corsages and boutineers and they've always done wonderful work. Even on super short notice. They also have little extras in their shop (teddy bears, greeting cards, balloons) that you can pick up and/or add to your order, which is always nice.The cute dog that greets you in the shop is a sweet bonus too.
