Lux designs did my family room, sunroom, foyer and partial bedroom. Patty was amazing and incredibly patient in helping me figure out the perfect design. We picked out everything from paint color, to swatches of fabric for furniture and curtains to hardware to all accessories. Designing is overwhelming for me but Party made it fun and did all the hard work. She dealt with the furniture companies, painters and artists/craftsmen and if she didn’t like something she would make them redo it. I love what Patty did in my dining room and sun porch! She met with me to learn my interests and see my other furnishings. Her presentation was well prepared and she offered great choices of styles and fabrics. I was not overwhelmed and loved doing this in my own home. Once the first job was done, I was ready to work on the family room. I know that Patty will bring me items that are beautiful, dramatic and not be found if I shopped on my own. Patty Lustig helped us to renovate our basement and turn part of it into a Home Theatre and the other half into an exercise space. We loved her vision and the reality proved to be as awesome as the design was on paper. We love what she did with our spaces. Patty also helped us to make choices for furniture in our main living space. Her tasteful choices have blended very well with our existing decor and we are also very happy with that. She found pieces of furniture that look one of a kind: some bold, some very subtle, and managed to keep our home’s "character" while improving the décor and keeping it functional. She was very committed to the goal of making us happy, and she did not charge us for a couple of changes that we requested along the way. Patty was a pleasure to work with. I initially hired her just to get advise on paint colors for my home interior, area rugs, and restaining the wood floors. I really was not planning to do more, but in describing my goals in sprucing up my house Patty convinced me that I needed to replace some of the furnishings and declutter my house. The finished product is lovely. She was right and the extra expense was well worth it as now I have a beautiful, well put together home. Patty Lustig with Decor & You was utterly amazing to work with. She has the patience of a saint. I am not a visual person, so deciding on fabrics, colors and custom furniture was exceptionally hard for me. However, she made it much easier and not so overwhelming. Even after I selected from the options she provided, I tried to cancel orders in sheer fear of making a mistake. However, Patty reassured me it would look great and was stern about the selection we choose. She also stayed on top of all of the contractors and if they did any little thing wrong, it was immediately brought to their attention and fixed. For the past couple of months, my husband and I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Patty Lustig to help design our home. It has been a truly rewarding experience. From the first initial phone call to the complete fulfillment of the house decor set up, Patty has been wonderful to work with. Patty came to our very first meeting prepared with fabrics, pictures and information just based on our first phone call. She walked the house, gave suggestions and came with resources that suited our style and taste. From then on, Patty would bring great choices to pick from and when something wasn't to our preference, she would bring more choices. Often times, I would know the look I was going for, but not sure what pieces would fit what we had in mind. Patty would bring or email pictures to help with the visual concept. This helped us tremendously. From the paint color, to the candle holders, and everything in between, she has been outstanding. And she diligently worked extremely hard to stay within our budgetary guidelines. When the "great reveal" finally arrived, my husband and I left the house so that Patty and her crew could work to get everything done and we could then be surprised. It was indeed worth the wait. When we returned, it was truly an "HGTV" moment. The house is beautiful. Everything is works. It's looks like a model home. I would recommend Patty to anyone who needs help designing their home. She is highly professional, is on time for all appointments, and emails and texts whenever necessary. Patty redecorated our family room and updated some accessories throughout our house. With her decorating expertise, the selection process was easy since Patty narrowed down the samples to just a few. She diligently selected new furniture with the color scheme and size that compliments our current decor. Patty was extremely patience and accommodated our work schedule. Patty helped me chose the paint colors in my large basement. She is a pleasure to work with. Arrived on time. Was efficient and left me with cards of the paints we liked. I had done my homework and knew the colors that I wanted and was scared of the bright colors I had in mind. I am a Realtor and used Patty to lightly stage two of my listings. One home was vacant and I did not have the budget for furniture so Patty worked her magic by staging the bathrooms, kitchens, and living room. The home received multiple offers within just a few days on market and ended up selling for $20,000 over list price! I have no doubt the staging enhancing the home. My other listing was occupied by a family and a small child. The home was small and cluttered so I had Patty meet with my clients and I to offer suggestions and tips to make the space bigger and show better. I received a full price offer within 1 week. Being that we, the Hotel Monaco DC is a luxury hotel, located in an historic building in downtown DC it was very difficult to find the right company to work on our project. We were in need of someone who would take the time to match 170+ year old marble tiles, who would be able to bring in the right installation team for this type of work and someone who would make us feel assured and confident in our decision, that person was Patty. From the moment she arrived onsite her professionalism, detail and knowledge made us know that the integrity of the building would not be compromised. She laid out a plan, schedule and date of completion knowing that we are a very busy hotel and was able to meet all of the targets. We have had nothing but compliments on the 3 different phases of this project; I think that Robert Mills the originally designer / architect would even be impressed. I met Patty while I was living in DC. She helped me decorate my living room, dining room, and bedrooms in the house. She was able to bring me the most beautiful fabrics for draperies and assist me in choosing furnitue. She was always available, arrived with a smile and ready to work. She always made it fun and we had a great time together. I have since moved across country. I called Patty with some questions and she told me she would come to look at my new home and give me some ideas. She traveled across the US to see me and once again helped me decorate my my new home.

We used Patty last year to completely decorate our bedroom suite, pick paint colors for multiple rooms in the house, and hang artwork. We LOVE it all. Patty took the time in the beginning to learn our style - much better than we understood it ourselves. As we continued meeting, the consults became much more efficient because she had gained such a good sense of what we wanted, both functionally and stylistically. She brought in beautiful colors and textures, managed to meld a square pattern to an oval ottoman, and found us a gorgeous wood side table that doubles as a large filing cabinet. Patty was very flexible in meeting times and responsive throughout the entire project. She managed the furniture installation and brought someone in to do the actual artwork hanging.

Our only hesitancy is not unique - budget. Patty was upfront in the initial consultation about needing a larger budget to address the project scope. She gave us a number, and we agreed, however our final cost was significantly over that new amount. Of course we'd agreed to everything, but the pricing is not transparent for individual furniture pieces, which made managing costs more difficult.

We definitely look forward to working with Patty more in the future. More...

Patty helped me on three projects: bedroom furnishing (including seating area, custom made window treatments, lamps, art work), 2 condos complete furnishing and decoration (including foyer/entrance, bedroom, living room, dining room, balcony furniture, shatters, custom made window treatment. ) Patty has great taste but what is most important that she will listen to your needs, learn your taste and create beautiful outcome.
