Full disclosure...I am not vegan. I picked up a vanilla raspberry 7 layer cake for a friend. I was given a slice and absolutely loved it. Frosting was sweet without being overly sweet. I special ordered a vegan quiche from this bakery and it was phenomenal! The crust was perfectly flaky, the filling (spinach & mushroom) was so savory and delicious, and it had a perfect amount of vegan cheese. When I picked it up I also got a vegan chocolate chip cookie, which was SO good! Just how I love cookies: big and chewy! I am so happy with my order, my whole family loved it (they are not vegans). Amazing! My wife was in Madison, WI for a conference on her birthday. I was at our home in North Carolina. I needed to have something to make her birthday special sent to her hotel. I wanted to find something worthy of delivery that was vegan, but I did not expect to be able to find anything. However, holding out some hope, I searched for a vegan bakery in Madison. Lushlife Vegan Bakery appeared in the search. I sent an e-mail through the website and asked about delivery. I received a very quick response that delivery to the hotel was possible. I explained what I needed; and, even asked for a card to be prepared. I received a picture of a beautiful cake before it was delivered. My wife was amazed (1) that the cake was delivered, (2) at how beautifully it was decorated, (3) that it was delicious, and (4) that it was vegan. Her friends at the conference were equally amazed ... and the conference attendees were culinary instructors. I highly recommend Lushlife Vegan Bakery! More...
