We contacted Lumina back in January to revamp our website. In the meeting, we met the CEO/Owner Yaniv along with the rest of the team. After careful consideration and meeting with two other companies, we went with Lumina and have not regretted this decision. The website took longer than expected but turned out beautifully. Lumina gets to know your business and creates a beautiful and carefully thought-out online representation of your business identity and personality. Even after launch, the team is available to address any issues. E-mails are answered in detail and in a timely manner. Most importantly, they do not overwhelm you with technical jargons. I found Lumina here on Yelp and they had great reviews. I spoke with Skyler about a project I had in mind but that I was concerned about protecting my idea. He told me Lumina would email me a non-disclosure agreement within the hour that would protect my idea by preventing Lumina from using it or discussing it with anyone else for them to use. I never received the email. I called back the next day and asked to speak with Skyler and, after being placed on a brief hold, was told he was out of the office. I left a detailed message and was told he would call me back. I never received a return phone call from him, nor the email containing the non-disclosure agreement. My first impression was not a good one. However, very shortly after I posted my experience on Yelp I received a response from Yaniv, the owner of the company, acknowledging the problem, apologizing, and taking corrective action by scheduling a conference call with him directly to discuss my idea immediately after the holiday. He emailed a fully executed NDA prior to the call and called me right on time. He was very personable, very professional, very easy to talk to, and spent a significant amount of time bouncing my idea around with me. I've had my paths crossed with Lumina for few years now, so this review is way overdue. It was some time ago when I met with Yaniv; he was tasked with streamlining our company software which was an extensive and cumbersome in-house software. His approach to this task was very methodical, and he took the time to sit down and listen to numerous gripes my coworkers and me had with our old software. This is a rarity in modern tech industry, as more often than not, engineers, developers and technicians often try to implement their own vision with little regard for clients input. As an average user of modern technologies this approach is greatly appreciated by the casual user. Yaniv's approach is passed along throughout the firm and his team shares his passion for making their service transparent and easily understood. This was a major factor for me to continue working with Lumina, even today when I opened my own business. Robert, Brian, Jessica and Janet all had constructive suggestions once I decided to build my company's website. Web design is a very complex field and in order for you to stay competitive you need to invest in your portal to the world. Needless to say I had ideas that were so grand and based on the multinational company's websites, but Yaniv and his crew were patient enough to explain me why such results might be hard to achieve with my budget.Finances are of course one of the points which any business will consider when selecting a service and I must say that Lumina's prices are very competitive. Especially having in mind that quality of the final product. When checking other companies web development prices I was shocked that most of them were not even willing to work with me unless I was ready to spend $10,000.
