Busy, one waitress, on sunday morning, she did an awesome job. Food was great. Will go back when we are in Boston.
Great drinksFun location
Great space. Cool. Dimly lit. Nice bevvies. Good food. Friendly staff.
Good for drinks and food, but has more of a bar atmosphere than restaurant. Has live music at night
Great place great food great bartenders! Highly recommend
Look. Go to Lucky's.Order the burger, and getA beer. Life. Is. Good.A review, in haiku.
This is definitely my kind of spot. Low lighting, cheap beer, friendly staff, and great music. If you want a chill spot to hang, check it out!
Have yet to get "lucky" but I keep going back. Never give up!ElvisComedy(DOT)com
Great food and service.
Good food, good drinks , always a good time and a trendy little place to go.
By far my favorite ‘dive’ bar in Boston. Great live music every Friday, my go to spot to bring people from out of town.
Great place for friends great place for a date great place for fun
What a funky, fun place to enjoy a Sunday brunch! The dishes were great and not too much. And the trio performing Sinatra covers thoroughly enjoyable.
Great dive bar with live music
Best bar in Boston! Great cocktails and beer selection, friendly and attentive staff and talented musicians!
Solid, no - frills basement bar in the Seaport. Very real in contrast to most of the high - end, trying too hard, new offerings in the area. A place to go when you just want to grab a drink with a friend and not pose. Decent bar food, too. More...
Good location. Great tvs for any game.
Definitely a nice place to grab a drink or two.
definitely be back.
This is a great chill place
Fun and cool place if you are looking for an Irish bar with decent music and drinks. Place is big enough and gets crowded in weekends.
Got fiddleheads. If so Then drink them all.
Great little spot with love music (that's not too loud) and specialty cocktails.
This used to be the ONLY option around for food. Now it's not, but it's still my #1 place.
Pure ideology my man s
Band is fire..we almost left then they kicked on and stayed an extra hour...cool spot reminds me of Cali!
Excellent food and service.
Loved Luckys burger and the long list of beers they gave in a cozy place with an excelent music selection. Highly recommended.

Great bar, drinks are solid, live band rocks! My kind of bar.
Lucky's is one of the gems of seaport. Great food and service, the drinks are amazing by Joe the bartender, live music almost everyday. 5 stars
Dive bar feel with top notch food and drinks! The live music on the weekends is always spot on for what you need, and what else? 2 bars!!! Prices are reasonable and service is always great. More...
For a "dive bar" the food is really good and the staff are awesome. This is one of my favorite spots to go for a drink right after work.
Fantastic mixed drinks. Great live music on weekends. Awesome vibe/atmosphere.
Lucky's is a classic bar with a huge selection of craft beer and high end cocktails. The ambiance is dim and intimate, and the food is delicious. Come in for a meal, appetizer, a drink after work, trivia Tuesdays, or Sinatra Sunday brunch. You won't be disappointed. More...
The tap list is hard to beat. They had Fiddlehead, Maine Beer Company, and Night shift, just to name a few. I ordered a burger, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. If I lived closer, I would visit Lucky's frequently. They have the kind of bar that you could post up at for hours. More...

Good food and booze. Reasonably priced. Live music. Unpretentious lively crowd.
The food and service was great! Be careful walking in the building.
They've created a place that convincingly seems like it's always been there. Don't know about the food, we was bahhoppin.
Amazing scramble for brunch. Best espresso martini ever. Loved this place!
Live band and great vibe. Loud music and great service. Will be back
Great atmosphere and service.

Awesome live band accepted requests, TVs, nice people at the bar, no violence, overall good times
Was a very nice and unique place. Food wasnfood and drinks were good. Not too busy. Prices were solid. Felt very 1930s? Speakeasy style. Would go again!
I love Lucky's! Awesome little place and that has amazing drinks and food! So many guilty pleasures all at once it's a place that makes you feel like you're doing something dirty and it's so much fun!
Lucky's is an institution in the Seaport area. I remember when the Seaport consisted of the dirt lots (cheap parking), dilapidated buildings, and random shady restaurants. Lucky's has no sign, which in the past was cool, but now that the Seaport area has blown up it isn't a secret anymore. That said, it is still a fun place to visit. The food is actually really good, the cocktails are well made, and they host some very talented bands. I say "Get your Sinatra on" and visit Lucky's Lounge. More...
I loved the fish and chips. The batter was light and the amount was more than ample.
Great basement lounge..!!!
Great bartenders. Can get very over crowded
Great staff, drinks and vibe.
Great band, place was way over crowded on the weekend though.
Went there for dinner. Loved the special burger.
Excellent live music and bar
Have not been here for about 10 years and it's just as cozy cool and the staff was sincere and attentive. Sad that they now have a discreet sign outside the building.
Its loud but the food is phenomenal.
Excellent place for a drink.... Or three
Old style speak easy with reasonable prices, good setting, and live music.
Always lucky here
Worth the 45 min wait. DJ Rugged is amazing. Even from the coat closet.
Great atmosphere. Good selection of brews.
Lucky's Lounge never disappoints. In this hidden little gem you are guaranteed to find good music and delicious Quail Egg Beef Sliders, time and time again.
Great dive bar with live music most nights, can get a bit too packed a times though.
Good music. Good drinks. Good night!
Good place to hangout
Great vibe! Excellent food! Well stocked bar.. perfect for quick bite and drinks
Good time! Good food beautiful woman..
Fun place. All good
Nice place. Drink selection is good and they had a band playing
The rueben is absolutely incredible, but the fried pickles are even better! Absolute must get
Left is nice.
Only live music around
Cool vibes, great beer selection and awesome cocktails
Quite possibly the best nachos I've ever had at any restaurant. Very cool decor and a great vibe. Definitely recommend.
Love the sunday morning jazz. Foods taste ok.
5 Minute Flash Warm-Ups
Hopping atmosphere! Good music! Great energy. Good stop for a Friday night.
Great local dive bar
Awesome dive bar with live music throughout the week. It's a spot my coworkers love to go to after work for a few drinks a snacks. Their fried pickles are a must order. More...
It was great. Slow when I went and the bartender had knowledge of Florida, where I once lived. Prices as expected. The door guy checked my Identification and shook my hand and welcomed me into the establishment. Really good experience here for the 20 minutes I spent. More...
Really good cocktails and a cozy venue.
Delicious food, interesting drink menu but very loud for dinner
I noticed when they got a new chef everything got 10x better, including the drinks! Always a great experience! When you come on Sundays be prepared for an awesome 3 piece frank sinatra band!
This is the place to go after a nice dinner out. Its excellent people watching, I saw a younger couple making out in a booth for a solid half an hour, I dont think they came up for air, it was impressive! The drinks are nice and stiff, music is great, and games are always on More...
Great food, great music, good cocktail list, and a good beer selection. It's underground though with dim lighting - not that that's bad, just so you know what you're getting into.
Joseph Julian Plaud
Sinatra Sunday brunch was awesome!
Just a small neighborhood bar. Had the Teriyaki Chicken tenders.. excellent! Drinks were good! bartender and waitress pleasant. Will return!
Great late night Dive bar
Was there for an event. Food and service were top notch!
best dive bar in Seaport
Walking into Lucky's reminded me a few bars I'd been in during my college years--head down to the basement, find a bar stool and order up! Met a local friend here-and loved that he suggested this spot. Not on any tourist destination map and that is what my husband I search out when we travel--where do the locals like to go! Bonus it was one of the hottest days of the summer in Boston-so Lucky's was cool in every sense of the word! More...
This is one of those places that has actually stood the test of time in this neighborhood. So many other establishments have either turned over or been wiped out by the immense changes that have gone down in Fort Point, but this basement establishment with no sign out front has somehow persevered. If you're looking for sunlight and a patio this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a speak easy style restaurant with great food and a live music scene that goes nuts on the weekends then this place is for you. I'll upgrade this to 5 starts as soon as they hire another bartender. That's the one thing about this place that absolutely drives me crazy and embarrasses me when I bring people here. It's unbelievable that management consistently under staffs this place. You need to fix this. More...
Sunday Sinatra Breakfast is a master stroke
A great place!
I was here for a special event 11AUG18. We were many (maybe 100+) with just two bartenders. They did good. I'd go back if I lived on the area.
Some cheeky ipa beers.... But im english so a lot to live up to with ales...
Thursday live band is awesome. The lead singer is a delight to watch and interact with. Plus he sings well. Awesome drinks. Attentive bar staff.
Fun place with ample space to dance, cheap drinks. The line was a bit long, but the vibe inside was chill and the bouncers were also nice. The lighting was trippy but the speakers were really bad, I could barely even tell what song was playing. This would be a good spot for pre-gaming but not to actually spend your night hanging out or partying. More...
Great atmosphere in one of Boston's classic throwback bars. Legendary Lucky's.
Small bar with a decent drink menu. Really easy to get packed tight, however.
It's exactly what you want it to be.
Went here at recommendation of staff at a local tourist attraction. This seemed more locals than tourists. It was a cool atmosphere and decor - very different. Had a good selection of beers. Good food. Standard burgers, Mac n cheese, steak quesadilla, salads. Service was great. I would recommend! More...
Great place for live music, rarely a line and NO COVER!!
Their bacon is quite nice
Food is pretty good, and they make great drinks! Best deal on cocktails in the Seaport!
Great live music and good food
.I had the wings and waffles, WoW was a sweet heat. Will get them again best on that. The service is also kind and hard work to keep every table happy.
Great burgers, cool place.
Bars with live bands are a dime a dozen in Boston. The band here was one of the few that that I've actually enjoyed - played typically Boston fare e.g. Jessie's Girl and Don't Stop Believin, but also some Outkast, Earth Wind and Fire, and Bruno Mars. Went on a Thursday night, but I hear Fridays are good too. Good size, never felt empty, but enough space to move around and dance. I plan on going again. More...
Cool old vide
Stopped in for a beer and some snacks. Chicken tenders tossed in BBQ sauce were tasty and uniquely flavored. Parmesan truffle fries were delicious. The overall vibe is pretty rad, kinda dive-bar but not in a scummy way. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the group of middle aged women who appeared as if they rolled in for brunch and ended up never leaving. Not necessarily the restaurant's fault unless these ladies were over-served, but if that's the standard clientele, I'd make my visits less frequent. More...
Great food and a cool speakeasy vibe for live music. Fun place to hang out
Love this place! We usually go here for brunch on the weekend. They have live jazz on Sunday mornings and it's usually pretty busy. We never have had to wait to get a table though. Food is okay, None of the brunch items really stand out for me as a vegetarian. Go here for diner coffee, live jazz and chill vibe More...
Very cool vibe. Excellent drinks. Sweet potato fries, good choice with honey mustard sauce. Ancestors in Training, are groovin', yeah
Great breakfast place with live music
Marcella De Lemos
Best live music in Boston.
Almost speakeasy status...one almost needs to have someone show you exactly where the entrance is. Unless it's Friday or Saturday night, the entrance is almost hidden. Great brunch and craft beer selections. More...
Nice place with great food and staff
kinda dark in there, don't know if that's the atmosphere they are going for...we were there on Valentine's day, when the band starting playing we really couldn't hear each other. Anyways, I would recommend the buffalo brussel sprouts. More...
Good food and drinks in a low key spot
Best pours in town. And great burgers.
Isa Moto e
PROS: quality food at value price, creative cocktails, live music, candle light until 10p.CONS: Ray Charles Sunday 8-11pm doesn't have many ray Charles songs at all. Frank Sinatra night has nothing of Sinatra if you ate in the front room instead of back room. Can get a bit packed in back room: groupies gather around the piano, and the person on the high chair get a bumped - best to sit next to each other on bench if you are not actively eating to hear each other More...
Great after work place
Loved the music and ambience
Good place to grab drinks and apps. Gets busier at night!
Pub food, pub environment, good service.
Unique bar with many rooms consisting of different vibes in each
Only stopped in for a drink. Food we saw looked good. Live music and good looking food cold drinks cool look to the joint. Hmmm I would like to go back
Good food and drinks.
Go here with your friends or colleagues and enjoy the local beers or some European (for example #guinness). Food is so tasty and you have to try it.
Great food at a cheap price. Good cocktails too.Sunday brunch is frank Sinatra themed, and Sunday night, ray Charles. however, there wasn't much ray Charles songs when we went on a post pines Valentine's date.It was a great, candle light dinner, with just enough room in between tables to be intimate or friendly with neighbors.a bride & groom well-attired party made for great dancing and drama entertainment! More...
Love their poutine!
Good comfort food fare with a varied an satisfying alcoholic beverage selection
Awesome, hole in the wall. Gotta love Sinatra!
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
Great time, strong drinks but the building needs updating. A leak messed up my sweater but that manager was really great about compensating the damages
Great drinks and bands on weekends
Lucky's is a Hidden Gem over by the seaport District. They have a surprisingly great menu despite their dive bar like atmosphere. They have a great beer selection both on draft and in bottle. I highly recommend the sliders with quail eggs they are to die for. More...
Wow simply an institution in Boston. Great music and drinks
Brunch is wonderful. Their is a tater tot mountain covered in eggs and cheese that will blow your mind. Dinner options are also great. The speak easy environment is so much fun and their "double down" drink is my favorite. We make it a tradition to come here at once a season. More...

Great live music! Crowd in their late 20s, early 30s. Songs were commercial/pop/oldies. Definitely recommend it!
Great burgers, the tater tots are pretty awesome.
Lucky's is one of the best atmospheres for hanging out with friends and getting your dance on without being at a pretentious night club. Everything about Lucky's is fun and affordable. Hands down one of my favorite spots. Show up early on weekends or expect a line. More...
One of the few unpretentious places in the Seaport. The cocktails are great and the atmosphere is decidedly divey, in a good way.
Such a fun spot. Be prepared to tell across the table, but the food is good, drinks solid, and the live music is great.
Amazing food, love their sea food platter and calamari.
Nice place to have brunch, the food is great and the atmosphere is cool, I had the eggs Benedict and they were awesome. The portions are a bit big so you will not be hungry after you had anything here. On Sunday there is live music...prices are good so I will be back More...
Nice little bar
Fun place to go out at night for live music and dancing.
The truffle tots and beer. That's all you need.
Nice atmosphere, but slightly run down feel. Great music. Some cocktails aren't as good as they sound on paper.
Festively designed and great service. 3.5 stars for not being super vegetarian friendly and incredibly loud (it was a Friday night). Portions of sides are HUGE! (We ordered their delicious tater tots and it was 3x more than we expected.) More...
Buffalo chicken mac and cheese here is the best I have ever had. I also love the dicey snobby vibe.
Really nice bar
Great classic tavern with fantastic food!
Love this place great service nice staff..like stepping back in time
Randomly tried this place while in Boston for PAX East; one of the best burgers and fries I've had in a long time. Great ambiance. Only complaint was that the Sinatra tribute band playing live was a bit too loud to make conversation easy. Still garners a 5 star though. More...
Robin R Johnson
One of the best bars in the Seaport. Can be crowded , but you can always find a corner to hang out.
Lucky's is a hidden gem. Classic cocktails, great food, cool staff, and a 60's speakeasy vibe.
Great staff and drinks.
It‘s a funny diner in the 50s style, not that big and you have to make a reservation otherwise they are not giving you a table weekends. Food is good and staff is friendly. Prices are good. More...
Fun atmosphere and people. The music was great as well!
Great live music on Thursdays!
Fun as hell
Fun 1950s vibe.
First time here. Fun. Lots of fun. To gauge context, as I was leaving there was a 20 group line waiting to get in in the pouring rain...
Food was delicious! Drinks were great and conversation was excellent as well! We we're lucky to have Jeff as our bartender
Kevin Thomas Sunil
Good spot to hit after work. Nice choice of cocktails. The platters were good!
Try the sliders.
Great dive lounge. Live music most nights, and good food and great drinks!
Great live music, however crowded.
Passable pub food and drinks but great ambiance and live music.
A great place hang out.
Always fun, old school style. A little overcrowded.
Good place with nice live music
This hidden gem provides delicious food, large assortment of beverages and live music most evenings!
Great cocktails and the music is awesome. Perfect place to end the weekend
Lucky's is Lucky's, and always will be. The music is loud, the beer list is solid, and the place is packed.
Hole in the wall joint. Classic vibe. Simple but tasty menu. Reasonably priced. Went there for a work lunch and definitely would go back.
Great food and beer. Good vibes, but the service seems to be lacking sometime.
Thursday nights always good
This place is an institution. Been here for years and one of the best basement lounge bars in all of Boston
Great place! Loved Sinatra night!!
Good music, cold beer, nice staff. Worth checking out for middle of the road live music.
Food here is amazing and they have several alcoholic beverages to choose from. When you walk in it's like stepping back in time to Goodfellas with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and there is also live bands that play on certain nights the week I recommend this place to anyone who is in the seaport District of Boston you will not be disappointed
I love Lucky's! Always awesome wait staff, attentive and knowledgeable bar tenders, and fantastic chefs make this place one of my favorite after-work haunts. The vibe of the place is a stand out, too. If you're in the Fort Point area, give Lucky's a try. You won't regret it. More...
Luckys has great food, bands, exceptional staff and is really a fun place to hang out.
A little hole in the wall bar and lounge. Good food considering it is a local watering hole. Because it is so small it is rather loud.
Came here on a lark, near our hotel. Great bartender and live music on a Monday night, can't be beat. Highly recommended.
Great Sunday brunch venue with friendly services and live Sinatra music. Great enjoyment in a well hidden lounge on a cold day! Brunch selection is good as well. Haven't tried dinner. More...
Dim, chill, weird [in the best way] 50s decor, and semi hidden from the street, so you know people are there on purpose. Had a great IPA that the bartender recommended. Will update when I've actually eaten food here. More...
Weird place. Chinese food and other stuff on the menu, good cocktails, random lounge music. Somehow, it works.
Great life music!!!
Good hole in the crowd with a townie and twonie crowd. Amazing beer selection.
A must for Sunday night Sinatra Night. It has a 50s charm. The cover band, which often plays for swing dances in Cambridge, is excellent.
Incredible, must-stop, if you can find it! I never go to Boston without hanging out for a few hours here!
The Classic Yellow on Friday nights is probably the best band you'll see in Boston.
Great cozy place, live music once a while, only downside is bartenders
I went on a Thursday night and had a blast! The live cover band was amazing. Can't wait to go again with the girls.
This place is all about atmosphere. You will love it or hate it on that... But most people love it.
Great fun on a Thursday night. The band was awesome and everyone was having a great time dancing to the music and hanging out.
Cool place and good bartenders
Great atmosphere for Sunday lunch for a fair price sitting in a bar. The live jazz music isn't too loud, just enough to enjoy while chatting with your friend.
surprisingly good food to go with great atmosphere and beers
Faux dive with 1960s wood paneling and photos of the Rat Pack on the walls. Food's good, beer selection is decent. Much less sterile than any other bar in the Seaport and a bit of a better value.
What a great hidden gem for delicious food, classic atmosphere, and live music. There is an authenticity at Luckys that just cannot be duplicated.
Tasty apps & good for quick bite. Fun live music. There's a reggae night! Heard good things about brunch and prime rib dinner, can't wait to check it out!
Fun spot with a speakeasy vibe. Was once a dive, but now busy with tech crowd from new "innovation district". Serve food and drinks.
See nelson the bartender for a great drink
Great bar with live music in the lower level. Definitely worth checking out!
I love the atmosphere, the food and (usually) the drinks. The first time I went my boyfriend and I split Nachos and I had a martini while he had a Manhattan. This time the place was empty, the staff was awesome and the experience was great. The reason for the four stars instead of five is based off the second time I went. It was my birthday and we choose to come here for the live music after our meal. Again, great atmosphere. Yet this time the service was much to be desired. The bartender was rude and the waitress even apologized in private to me for how impatient and unfriendly he was towards us. The drink he made had so little alcohol in it (vodka, soda, splash of cran) that I did what I hated people would do to me when I bar-tended and I asked for a new one. I was as polite as could be in saying that I couldn't taste any vodka. He aggressively threw it out and made a new one which was better but still not great. I was too scared to ask again so I drank it quietly and we left shortly after. If you go here remember to check in on Yelp and you get a coupon for your meal which is an awesome surprise. Live music on weekends, good crowd and good atmosphere. I recommend Lucky's and hope that that bartender was just having a bad night or was stressed being understaffed. Overall, great place though and will be back soon! More...
This is a great local bar that has a decent lunch scene as well as good after work drinks. They have pretty good food options and is definitely a throwback. They have an old school feel, but get good food out quickly. Been here twice, and when I am down in the Fort Point area, Ill definitely go back. More...
The vibe..the food..sinatra sundays. Swooooon!!!
Fun place. Went here with a group of eight on a Saturday night because Blue Dragon down the street told us there would be a three-hour wait and NOBODY'S got time for that (sorry, Ming). While there was still a long wait for a table to accommodate us at Lucky's, the staff were really friendly about it. Enjoyed the band. Excellent, creative cocktail list.As for the food - they give you loads for your money. But some of the recipes need a little tweaking. I had the chicken and biscuit casserole and while the biscuits were top-notch, the chicken & veg had WAAAAY too much vinegar. And I'm a person who loves to slather everything in vinegar, so if I think it's a bit much, then 99% of people are probably going to find it overpowering. The parsnips were also under-cooked to the point where some of them were difficult to spear through with a fork, and they tasted a bit woody. But the nachos and the artichoke dip were very tasty. The food definitely punches above its weight for what looks like a dive bar from the outside. More...
I'm a big fan of Lucky's. I work over in the seaport and it's my office's local bar. The food is really good. Happy hour menu is awesome, and prices are good. The beer selection is small but good. Make sure you ask about what beers they have in their little cooler behind the bar. I've found some not-advertised-on-the-menu gems back there. Service is always solid. More...
Feels like your in the 1950's-1960's... its pretty cool . Had dinner there with a few friends and I got the Southie Fried Chicken, which was delicious and I loved the sweet potato fries. It turns in to a fun bar at night with live Music some nights More...
Lucky's is one of my staple go-to's when I want to have a good time with a few close friends. Have been here for after-work and late night drinks, brunch, and Sunday Sinatra night. They are owned by the Liberty Hotel so the quality of food and drinks is pretty high. If you are here for Sinatra brunch, note that the live band is in the front room and you can barely hear the music in the back. Their hazelnut espresso martini is amazing and the servers are always professional. More...
Lucky's is one of the best bars in Boston. Not only is the atmosphere fun and lively, the food is terrific and the staff exceptional. The bartender Steph is one of a kind and makes your experience special! She knows her cocktails and always recommends the best food options. Kobe sliders are a must! More...
Girlfriend and I are from Minnesota and went to Lucky's on our vacation in Boston. Told the hotel concierge we liked good beer, dark lounges, good food, and live music. This place was fantastic!
Go for Sinatra Sunday to catch the great live band! We got a good deal from Gilt City on a dinner for two. It included an appetizer, two entrees and a bottle of red/white wine! I highly suggest the Kobe beef sliders and the meat loaf. We will be back for more!! More...
I've been going here for lunch about once or twice a week for about a year now. The food is usually great, and it's a very casual experience. The Truffle fries are amazing and can be substituted as a side, if you ask for it - for a small extra cost. The kobe sliders, only served at night, is absolutely delicious and some of the best sliders I've had the pleasure of eating in Boston. The bar food in here is simply a notch above normal bar food, and some of the best you can have in the area.Highly recommended. More...
Pros: Casual, unpretentious & semi-sophisticated sceneSinatra SundaysVery good food for a pub (gastropub-esque)Cons:Poor cell phone receptionSometimes it's completely dead (especially in the summer time)
Fun establishment in the basement of a building. Seems like the after work happy hour crowd, and is lively and friendly. I had the meatloaf at the server's suggestion, and was pleased. It was flavorful and served with greens and mashed potatoes. Yummy and filling on a cold evening. Just what I was looking for. If in the area again, I will definitely stop by for a meal. More...
Lucky's is a great and surprising spot! Join them for a 50's cigar club atmosphere with live and soothing jazz sounds. While it gets a little loud and crowded, it is definitely worth a try! Food is delicious - try the nachos, macaroni and cheese, turkey tips, or salmon! A Cosmo and Manhattan top off a perfect meal at this swanky joint. More...
Luckys is a great, friendly place with good food and a killer strawberry shortcake. I'll be stopping in anytime I'm in Boston.
Great spot for a sunday night dinner and drinks. Live music started around 9 I think. The music side gets packed so go early if you want to sit there. I love how this place is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk if you are staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston. I will be back for sure for Sinatra brunch! The waitress was always there to refill my drink and the food portions were HUGE. More...
FABULOUS!!! It totally reminds us of an old nightclub/lounge. Decor is late 40's/50's. The food is GENEROUS and taste is superb. Quality and presentation is superb!! (We are hoping to go back again tomorrow night.) Only has a small street sign placard on sidewalk, and you have to walk down to get into place. Do NOT pass this place up because it looks like a dive! Attached bar/ lounge has live band on certain nights....Frank Sinatra type music; very popular place with locals . Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!:-) More...
Luckys is a Boston institution but don't be fooled, it is still a sticky hole in the wall. Good for late night eats while bar hopping and diner-type breakfast the next morning. The staff has always been respectful and competent. The location itself is old dark and grimy but its still a great place for drinks and some grub. More...
Just went to Lucky' s last night (a saturday night) and I would definitely go back again! I had heard good things about it but was surprised by how small it was when I first walked in. I think they haven't updated the interior for several decades, as it looks pretty outdated. However, it works for here and the wood paneling and old curtains make the atmosphere cozy, and make you think you're in another era.The best thing about this place by far is the Frank Sinatra impersonator and the band. The music was great...I could have stayed and listened all night! The pianist was absolutely amazing. I think the only downfalls here are that 1) the food was not great. Generally speaking, it was a little bland and forgettable. We ordered the buffalo chicken wings which were basically just flat, frozen chicken patties that were heated up then smothered in buffalo sauce. Not the best.2) it was just a little loud and kind of hard to talk, but we were on the side with the live music so that's understandable.Other than that, great place to get drinks, relax, and listen to great music -- you should go! More...
Such a fun place! Quick service, live band, and great Sinatra music. I will definitely return.
If I were in the area more often this would totally be my spot. I've been here a handful of times over the past six years and I'm always happy to come back. After we sailed on the harbor for "Steak-cation" we brainstormed on a place to hit up before calling it a night. Lucky's won and settling into the seat at the bar I never wanted to leave.Good drinks, good food, good old vibe... Lucky's is where it's at. Always the solid choice. More...
Great for a date night!I came here with my boyfriend on a busy Friday evening - the first table we sat at was basically at the back of a booth and was in a very busy area where the waitresses ran by every two seconds. I asked our waitress if it would be possible to move or even wait longer for a booth. She was great and we only waited a few minutes for this! Food was yum and lucky's has a great atmosphere! It's not too hard to find - saying this there were a few people outside smoking so was fairly obvious!! More...
I love this place for food and drinks and always have. It used to be a block from my office, and I was here very regularly in the past. I stopped over this past trip and it was still as good as ever. There was even one person behind the bar that I knew from 5 years ago, how cool! The food is probably still good too, but we just came for late night drinks. More...
Lucky's is a pleasant surprise. It's dingy location made me suspicious, but we had amazing food. The goat cheese deviled eggs were my favorite. Best deviled eggs I've ever had. I tried to recreate the magic in my own kitchen, and my guests were happy with the outcome.... But I knew my imitation paled in comparison to the amazing deviled eggs at luckys. I had the buffalo mac and cheese for entree. Dear god, where have you been my whole life!? Fantastic. The flavor became a bit overwhelming though. Would probably have been better served as appetizer. I'd still order it again. The location sort of sucks, since its not by anything. BUT it is directly across the street from Sportello and Drink. So, if you have high hopes of getting into Drink only to find a long line, definitely cross the street to Lucky's. More...
I love Lucky's - 90% of the time.As I work right around the corner, Lucky's has worked itself into my lunchtime rotation. Everything I've had for lunch has been great - the chopstick chicken salad, wings, buffalo mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwich, etc. The clam chowder is probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. It has some sort of spice thing going on (it's not pure white like most chowder) and it's topped with fried clam strips. Yes please. Another must try: sweet potato fries. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they make a great anytime snack (especially while drinking).I've also been here late night. Dark, loud and boozy. Enough said.So why knock off a star / 10%? Brunch. I came with a friend around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. The place was dead. I ordered an omelette and it was essentially a thin layer of egg draped over a blob of filling. It was cold and not well incorporated. Maybe it wasn't great because it wasn't peak hours? I'm not sure. I'll give it another shot at some point, but based on the lunch food I've had there, I was pretty disappointed. More...
Good dinnersGood beer and drink selectionBoss dessertsFor dinner before a concert, my wife and I dropped in here to see what the place was about. As we descended in through the unmarked door, pleasing live music of a one-man show breezed back up at us toward the street, and we adjusted to the dim, warm light of the place. Tables and booths on the right, bar on the left, and a couple TV screens dotted around with (for this night only) that one-man show in the corner beyond the bar. He normally sets up on the lounge side, he remarked later. We took our seats and perused the menu for a bit - there's a medium-sized selection, but it's packed densely with comforting favorites and slightly offbeat choices we wanted to consider. All in, we decided to collectively pick the house-made pickles, truffle fries, Chop Stick Salad, pulled pork minis, and goat cheese deviled eggs. We were told to rest assured that would be PLENTY of food, and that was the truth. I enjoyed their craft beer offering - plenty of macrobrews were available, but there was enough selection of intriguing options that I was happy. I chose a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and a Victory Swing Saison. My wife opted for cocktails; a Double Down and a Mango Martini. All were pleasing.Music was a great folk guitarist covering everything from The Boxtops to Stevie Wonder. Impressive range and quality music. Nice, helpful, attentive staff. Everyone was polite and engaging, but gave us our space, too.We lingered a little longer and decided to try their S'More's dessert. Now, let me drop the truth that, I was still relatively full from my share of the tasty dinner, but I'm glad I indulged, because friend, you haven't had S'More's quite like this - and if you dig that dish, you'd best get to Lucky's Lounge. Arriving on an unassuming dish with something like crackers and a crock of a froth-topped concoction, we soon found out this was serious as a heart attack. Under that foamy topping was a denser layer of marshmallow and a thick, viscous, Nutella-esque chocolate base - combined, like a geological lesson on S'morific-ness. Your proverbial pick axe for digging through this archeological site were something like these shortbread wafers, which, while a tempting dessert in and of themselves, excelled at the task at hand of shoveling copious amounts of RIDICULOUS CHOCO-MALLOW GOODNESS up to your watering mouth. Ladies and gentlemen, this was essentially the chips n' dip of Heaven's Dessert Camp. Purely outstanding. There's no question I'll seek this place out again, for certain. Highly recommended. More...
Real cute underground dive bar in Downtown Boston. Music was good, Drinks were cheap, crowd was mid 20-30s. More of a local's spot which I totally dig. They usually have live bands playing on Friday, but this night they had cancelled...bummer. Nonetheless, we had a good time and got to meet some interesting people. More...
Went here once on a Saturday. Very crowded, friendly patrons, loud music, some dancing in part of the bar (not a dance club). A fun place to come with friends and have a few drinks too many. More...
Came here last Friday. What a fantastic place. No door charge, and it was packed with people of all ages. There was live music from a cover band called 'Yellow' who were awesome. We all agreed that the lead singer looked just like a younger and clean shaven Ben Affleck; that's a good thing! The bar staff were friendly, quick and efficient. Only small criticism is that band were tucked away in the corner behind a pillar, and everyone was crushed into a tiny dance floor. Don't know how they could remedy this as I didn't manage to move very far from there, or explore the rest of the club. Have already planned my return trip from the UK, and I understand that on Sundays they do a whole 'Rat Pack' thing... More...
Finished up a few early morning meetings at a conference, then walked to Lucky's Lounge for brunch - would highly recommend to anyone! Delicious and creative brunch food, wonderful (and different) cocktails (not just the same old mimosas and bloody mary's), and awesome live music! Fun chairs and a great vibe, the staff even were accommodating to our group's need to add another visitor to our table! Will definitely return. More...
Last night, my friend and I had one of the greatest nights of our lives, and it all started at Lucky's Lounge! The food was excellent, and some of the best drinks I've ever had were created by the bartender Stephanie. But mainly, the experience was brightened by our two lovely waitresses Jana and Trish. They were on point in taking our orders, chatted with us and new what was appropriate to discuss and what was not, and even introduced us to the rest of the staff. Best service I've ever received at a bar and needless to say I'll be going there again! More...
Definitely get the calamari and Kobe sliders w/ quail egg- fantastic. Skip the "cheese board" and the pork belly. The others at my table liked the corn dog things. I thought they were too greasy.
Great spot. I frequented this place for SInatra Sundays years ago and after moving to the Fort Point neighborhood I discovered they have very good food. I was surprised to learn that...really good stuff. Not all winners but if you've been here it doesn't look like it would be great for meals. Pretty good cocktails & drinks. I wouldn't stand in line on weekend nights (maybe I would've years ago) but otherwise check this place out for sure. More...
A year removed from last visit, would Lucky's still retain the coveted 5 star rating?Drumroll please.BAM! Hells to the YES!Lucky's is my favorite stop in Boston. I love it here. I could hang out here every night. The vibe is straight out of Mad Men, with Tanqueray martini's and gibson's flowing about the room. This place is sheer greatness. If you're hungry the food is great. The appetizers are terrific and will make your ASS grow two inches. Check out the baby corn dogs, hummus and the goat cheese deviled eggs. My table of five were yielding some pretty sharp instruments trying to get at these. The crispy pork belly and brussels sprouts are also listed on the appetizer menu, but I highly recommend you order a side with your entree and you will thank me later. My favorite dish is the meatloaf, but I also tried the burger and it did not disappoint. The fried chicken looks very interesting and might need to give that a go on my next visit. My cocktail of choice is the Lucky's sidecar, for a twist on the old French classic they use Tuaca instead of brandy....Do not be afraid and try it!The best night to go? Sunday night is "Sinatra Night", I highly suggest you make reservations and the music starts promptly at 8:00.If you're by yourself or lack friends? Sit at the bar, there is always plenty of seating and the full menu is offered and you can have a nice chat with some of the friendliest bartenders in Beantown. More...
We found Lucky's on Yelp and decided to try it on a Saturday night. Fortunately Yelpers had warned us there was no sign so we knew to look for the address! We were greeted promptly and our friendly server helped me decide between the salmon and the meat loaf. She talked me into the salmon - the salmon itself was ok but the Israeli cous cous and squash accompaniment did not seem to go with the dish. My husband got the meat loaf so I got to try it - boy was I sorry I had picked the salmon dish! A big enough serving for two, the meatload was probably one of the best I have ever had and the blue cheese potatoes were great!A couple downsides prevent me from giving them 5 stars - our appetizer had just barely arrived when our clam chowders were served. The chowder was ok but not great and nowhere near hot enough. A better paced arrival and a little hotter and I would probably up the rating here. All in all a good meal and we'll defnitely be back the next time we are in town. More...
I have been here a bunch of time and have never been disappointed. I love Saturday nights because of the band; they are so good and entertaining. The wait staff is so nice and helpful. The sangria is awesome. I also love the spinach artichoke dip. I have had a few meals and they have been really good as well. The only bad thing I can say about Lucky's is that the bathrooms could be a little cleaner/smell better. I would 100% recommend it here! More...
Why a Five starts A review of 5 starts to help people who want to take the risk for a special celebration and never being here. Note that's this is a review of just a first time experience last January. Took the risk and I am not regret. Let me explain you my experience: " I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday with good friends and relatives that never met each other, we ended being 16 people and i was planning the perfect night. The place I wanted to go was reserved to a private party, So I searched online for live music bars that serve food and full bar. I ended finding this place. I checked the reviews and they didn't sound bad. So, I make some calls to the Lounge and their replies were very nice and clear. "The night ended being great. Food and drinks were great. Live music was nice. Table for 16 was spacious and able to have family and friends interacting each other. Service was attentive. Some of us decided to go later to the club. So sad it wasn't a place for dancing. Because after dinner, it could probably would end being a great night in the same place instead of driving to the club. ( Less than 15 minutes driving to club areas). After 10:30- 11 I think they start playing dance music.Although we enjoyed the great music of that Sinatra Night, we couldn't have a nice panorama of that tiny spot of the performance. Good thing that side was the crowded area far away from our table and/or dinning area. I remember feeling so comfortable at the table, turning around to the bar and see so much people "glue" to each other. So, If you think to go to this place for first time and want to take the risk for a special celebration I encourage you. Just let you know that it was pretty loud, but I know that day there was some special football game going on. More...
Love it! I use to frequent this place often. It's packed for lunch, but well worth having to practically sit in a stranger's lap. My only gripe was one Friday night I forgot my ID and I wasn't allowed in.....I was THIRTY FIVE at the time. Annoying as there was an entire group waiting for me and I lived far outside the city. So, don't mess with the bouncers as they have a HUGE chip on their shoulders, but otherwise a great time More...
I LOVE LUCKY'S! Sinatra Sundays are the best! While the cover band is AMAZING, the music can be pretty loud on Sunday nights so sit as far back as you can get or don't plan on talking to your date much. It can get pretty busy for Sinatra Sundays so I recommend doing a reservation on open table. Rhode Island style Calamari is probably the best thing in the entire world. All of the waitresses are adorable and so nice. Enjoy! More...
I love this place. The menu is solid and warning...the portions are huge! Try the fried pickles. The bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable. I love the live music nights.
Love the interior as this place is flat out pimpHave always wanted to walk into a bar mcconaughey style w/dylans hurricane playin in the background or a vaughn/favreau like entrance at the dresdenThis place allows you to feel that moment right up until ya make your way to the mirrored bathrooms wha wha wha but such a great place to have late nite food/drinks w/friends
ok lets get this straight all you non bostonians... this not a club or a high end restaraunt... its a casual place... they have great bar food ( or sophisticated bar food)... it is loud, as is any bar in boston ( this excludes lounges and restaraunts), and yes if you shope up past 11 you will be waiting in line. lunch recently..................flash back in time to 1955 and your uncle just finished his basement playroom and he even included a bar, that's what this is like, sort of underground, cheap paneling, old looking lights.....pretty retro, oh and make sure you know the address cause there is NO sign, oh is is across the street from some pretty upscale places like the menton (or is it just menton?)...anyway drinks were good and the food was good, burger was very good as was the tuna melt, nothing fancy put good, service was ok, our server seemed a little less up than some of the others but was ok....people kept finding this place so it must be doing some things right.....the sunday jazzy brunch would probably be pretty nice More...
My boyfriend and I dropped in on a saturday night on the earlier side and really enjoyed our time there. We were planning on going to Drink, the bar across the street, but they were kind of rude and the wait was around 45 minutes for 2 people. We only stayed for one drink but the bartender was helpful and I ended up ordering a caipirinha, delicious. I was going to switch the cachaca for vodka, but he let me try a taste and convinced me otherwise and I really liked it! I thought the decorations were fun, but my favorite part was the soundtrack: albert king, etta james, etc!If I lived a little bit closer I would go here all the time! More...
It's a pretty popular spot, the kind where even out-of-towners (New Englanders) use it as a go-to when in Boston for drinks/dinner. I had dinner there last week, it was pretty packed on Thursday. We made a reservation less than a few hours before going, and the 5 of us got a booth as soon as we arrived. Drinks are expensive ($8 for a Captain & Ginger ) - but maybe that's the Providence in me. I just don't feel like Lucky's is the kind of place to charge that much for a basic drink. The service was very friendly and prompt. We had chicken nachos, which were piled high with the good stuff. I got the meatloaf, which came with blue cheese-whipped potatoes and broccoli rabe. Everything was delicious. The portions were extremely generous; I couldn't finish the 2 huge slabs of meatloaf, and usually I can put down a lot more food than you'd imagine just by looking at me.All in all, this is a good place to come - whether for sliders and a pint at lunch, dinner with friends, or late night drinks with live music. My favorite lounge in Boston. Yes Sinatra Sundays are awesome, but it's a great place to come most any night. A great mellow vibe seeps from the brick walls of this place on the nights energy isn't pouring from the stage. It doesn't get cooler.
A few friends were in from out-of-town so we swung by Lucky's to have a drink or two! It was a blast - a little underground bar/restaurant which was steadily busy the entire time we were in there. We had this incredible bar tender too! I can't recall her name, but she is getting married soon so if you happen to stop in, be sure to ask around and wish her the best with her wedding. The drinks were reasonably priced, and interesting. I had this drink called the Pink Lemonade - it was incredible! We didn't happen to try any food, although it certainly did smell very appetizing as we watched it zing by us to the lucky customers at the receiving end. I would definitely go back and try a quick meal when back in the area. They have no sign out front, which I am sure other reviewers have mentioned, so most of the time, it is the regulars that occupy the establishment at night. They have bands playing, which I must add was fabulous. It was a little jazz band who understood the how loud they needed to be. You could actually hear each other! It was amazing. Nice job welcoming out-of-town"ers" Lucky's - nice job! More...
I come for the ambiance and...a pint of Guiness and the Kobe Burger make for an amazing dinner in my book.I felt bad for the bartender because he was also playing the role of hostess and waiter, poor guy, that must blow. Considering the circumstances, he was still quick with the serivce.I've also heard through word of mouf and other yelp reviews they have a Sinatra night Sounds like good shtuff. Either way this place is worth checking out, if you can find it..heh More...
In keeping with their speakeasy vibe, there are no signs advertising Lucky's out front. Finding it is like finding a wasps nest. You kind of have to watch and see where all the people are coming from. It's a couple blocks away from the giant milk bottle. Google Maps is your friend. There are also no stupid frat bar specials like Jager bombs. They specifically chose weird looking shot glasses so nobody could drop them into anything else. Cheers to that. The specialty drinks they do have are all amazing. If you're looking for a subliminally sweet libation that will fool you into having a rough morning tomorrow try the Pink Lemonade. If you're more into rough around the edges prohibition style cocktails try the Sazerac, a delicious Absinthe and Rye Whisky mix. There was a jazz band playing and the bartenders were all super nice. One girl even shared some of her "dinner" with my friend after she asked about it. More...

The new menu here is fantastic (Oct 2cd, 2012). The fried chicken is some of the best I have ever had (and I travel all over the place with my work). Waitress Jade was great. Good energy here, and the food is outstanding. More...
Bartender Nelson makes this place special. He is there on almost every busy night and has been working at Lucky's for almost a decade. The sweetest Irish guy you'll ever meet, he takes pride in his workplace and takes the pains to decorate the top of the bar every fall. My friend and I were here for after-dinner drinks and watched as he painstakingly decorated, rearranged, and meticulously placed every single ornament that he has collected over the years to make his bar funky and unique. When you come in here and sit by the bar, be sure to let Nelson know you appreciate his handiwork! He's just so adorable! He makes a great cocktail, is very attentive, and knows when to give his customers space to enjoy their own banter. Between my friend and I, we had several drinks, all of which came out well. I would come back here, and organize events here just because people like Nelson make restaurants and bars what they are and give them that special character.I can't speak much to the food. I had the Ahi bites, which were slathered in like a thai sweet chili sauce. A little bit of a cop out for a dish that could have been gourmet otherwise. More...
Cool place. You get to the building and you think you got the wrong address since it looks like a random office building on the outside, but once you step in Lucky's has a great vibe. The band playing while you eat is a nice touch, but mixed feelings on it. Loved the music and the vibe, but it was so loud you couldn't understand everything the table had to say. Anyway, for food I started with the deviled eggs which were AWESOME and then had the fish and chips for dinner which was pretty good. The waitress described them as "phenomenal" which I don't think they were, but still good nonetheless and a huge portion.Good drink selection too. More...
Definitely has a speakeasy feel to it. Looks like a broken down South Boston building on the outside. Very cool atmosphere. Live music. Mixed crowd. Food was good, not great. Service good. Bottom Line: Worth a trip to South Boston. More...
I adore Lucky's!! It comes off as your classic Boston dive bar, but it is so much more. I always head straight to the back room to see what inevitably awesome band is playing that night. I've never been for food, but hear it's good food for decent prices. I have never had just an okay time at Lucky's. Bartenders are friendly and make good drinks, atmosphere is always a good one and the crowd is not the pretentious State St crowd, everyone seems to gel, dance and have a great time. On weekends I hear a lot about the brunch, hoping someday I'll make it over there to try it out. More...
My New Favorite Bar - Even Though I Live 2,000 Miles AwayIf you live or work around this place you should consider yourself blessed. It's a great interpretation of what a "dive" bar could be: casual, but knowledgeable bartenders, fantastic beer selection but also excellent cocktail options. not painfully loud (like the pretentious "Drink" across the street), options for seating from tables to lots of bar space and the food is unique, tasty and showcase the chef's sense of humor. It was my first visit, so I wanted to run the gamut of offerings. I started with the sweet potato fries which had a smoky dip that was like flashing back to sitting around the campfire on a 7th grade backwoods trip and it was topped off with a garnish of chex mix. The pork belly tacos were crispy, spicy bliss. The Boston Chopped salad was a bit of a study in contrasts - spicy, salty and a tad sweet from the zinfandel vinaigrette. And, finally, what more can be said about the Kobe sliders? Phenomenal! As to the vibe... I have to say that for a Wednesday night, John O'Toole did a great job with hitting the right notes with the midweek post-work crowd. I think it was a bit like having Joe Jackson with an acoustic guitar hitting a catalog of covers that *he* enjoys. The songs spanned big band standards through 60s-90s and into the new millennium. I really admired his range of being able to channel troubadours as well as acoustic versions of grunge and new wave. Though it will likely be weeks (if not months) before I can return, I'm really looking forward to my next trip to Lucky's Lounge. For you locals, you should enjoy this gem in your midst. More...
First time I ever write a review here. Our server is so nice lady, great service. We went thru to try Kobe burger sliders since it made to top 10 Best Burger in Boston. We love those cute, juicy and tasty sliders. It's the best of all the dishes we ordered. Southwestern salad was pretty goo. Buffalo wings are OK. The worst is Boston Crean pie which is fairly big size. We only ate couple bites and gave up. Definitely to come back again when we're in Boston to try other dishes. More...
Great service, wonderful food, great drinks, and reasonable prices. My wife and I had the Kobe burger and a side of a couscous salad and both were wonderful. Will certainly return.
I agree with Barry G. -- this is a very cool bar. We did not eat here, but the drinks were good and fairly priced. Great music, fun people watching and all-around nice bar.
Lucky's is a pretty fun spot. It seems like the type of place yuppies-in-denial go after work. You know, young folks that have good professional jobs and make decent cash, but aren't too removed from their hipster or college days. It's not the cheapest place, but not super spendy either. The food and drinks menu are kind of fancy, but you can get the basics there as well. So if you want some fancy "mixologist" cocktail or just a shot of whisky and a 'Gansett - you can find either at Lucky's. More...
My new favorite bar! We wandered in here after trying to go to Drink (45 min wait) and I'm so glad we did! The drinks were great and our bartender was awesome (Stephanie). She refilled our waters without us even asking and after my friend took a tequila shot without having a lime, she gave her a glass of pineapple juice to chase it with. Again, without us even asking! The atmosphere was chill and we'll definitely be back. More...

Great space for drinks, to hang out and most definitely to do dinner. Can't wait to try their brunch.
I don't doubt the sincerity of the owner's reply to my comment (thank you for responding...and again, I am a fan of Lucky's). That said, people should read this and judge for themselves: forbes.com/sites/larryol… and forbes.com/sites/larryol… More...

So why I have not written a review about Luckys yet, I don't know..It really is the BEST bar in Boston (IMO) - but maybe I shouldn't say that ;) hahaWell, maybe it is because I don't want more people to know about it! I have been going for a couple years now, and It gets busier and busier, despite no promotion, and even no sign out front. So why do I like it? The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the people. Is that too much? The atmosphere is great. IN the basement, a little bit of a speak easy feel. Dimly lit, comfortable, and enjoyable. It doesn't feel 'sterile', which I hate, just ap lace you like to be (even if it is crowded)The food, is amazing!. Creative menu, different changes, well prepared. If you are going for a first time, then I suggest getting a bunch of apps. The Kode Beef sliderS? Although not really kobe beef (they are american kobe, which is fine. most people don't know you can't actually get japanese kobe in this country) , are super juicy and well prepared, and not to small. They come out with the top buns off and the cheese melted to the top bun, not the burger. and they have a friend quail egg on them. the taste just explodes in your mouth! The other top choice is the fish tacos. You get four, some may think they are small. but again beaming with taste. great homemade sales with home made guar on the side. You bite into them and get a little spice, which is then juiciness and the sweetness of the fruit salsa. literally hits your senses and is absolutely delicious.(still wondering why I am writing a good review. I should write a poor one, so less people go, so there is more room for me!)The mac and cheese, kettle chips, and spinach and artichoke dip are all great, and although may seem 'standard' fare, definitely offer a little something different and great taste that will make you remember themthe drinks!Heavy, big, and strongI remember the first time I ordered one, and it cam in a pint glass instead of a rocks glass. YUM!And GREAT martinis. Yes, this may be a feature of the bartender not the restaurant (and canI say, the bartenders are always great,g et to you quick, and make the drinks quick)Grey goose, dirty, three olives.. yes another please! So the downside of the bar? Well, the other night was 'Ted' night, as in the new Mark Wahlberg movie. Which has Luckys in it. Which means more people will know about it, and more people will go there, and make it harder to get in and busierso people, stay away! leave it for me! go across the street to Drink! habut really, check it out. and go for food around 8-9, not just drinks. Specifically, on Saturday when you can listen to a little Old Blue Eyes suit up, put a fedora on, and enjoy food, drinks, and Sinatra the way it should be.ps.a couple block walk from South Station, so not hard to get tobut if you are driving, you can park for freeThere are lots everywhere, but in the 40-50 times I have been down tot he area (meaning Fort Point/Seaport), I always part for freeIt is getting harder, as you can see the area changing and more people coming in and it getting busier and more places, but every time I go down, I ALWAYS find street parking on Boston Wharf road, two blocks down from Luckys along Congress.. Good food, strong drinks, and live jazz make this a hidden gem.The calamari was creatively done with an Asian influence, the Kobe sliders were perfectly cooked and topped with fried quail egg, the chicken was tender and paired with interesting sides like bamboo rice and asparagus wrapped in prosciutto... All in all a surprisingly delicious experience.I also recommend the pineapple mojito which was smooth and refreshing. And who can resist the live jazz aspect? Definitely looking forward to checking out Sinatra Sundays! More...
Live Sinatra Sundays. Wow.Such a dreamy experience.Sit at the bar. Sip on a drink. Listen to the cover band play some classic Frank Sinatra saloon songs and ballads. Lucky's is great. It's really that simple.Any place that features Sinatra Sundays rates an automatic 3 stars in my book, just for the shout out to the Chairman of the Board. The deviled eggs platter was great, the cocktails are strong and atmosphere is mostly friendly. Lots of reds feature into the interior decor. Another star for these pluses.3 + 1 = 4 stars. As you can see, I did the math and it sure does add up. More...
