Meredith is such a joy to work with. We met for our tasting and she was so nice and had wonderful ideas! The food was mighty tasty as well. We are also had food trucks at our wedding so they were very flexible and helped us fill in the gaps so that our guest will be full and happy! I really feel like they are excited for my event. Meredith even offered to come to the venue with us to get a better grasp of the layout. Taking her time to come up to make things are perfect, is exactly the service I was looking for. LAFB catered my 50th Bday party at my house and I could not have been happier.  Two girls arrived early and were set up and gone by the time my guests arrived.  The displays for the appetizers and dinner were beautiful and much more than I had expected.  The Luau food was delicious and more than plentiful. I used Love at First Bite for my wedding in June. I really tried to stick to my budget, and they were well priced for 100 guests compared to several other companies I had researched. I worked with the wonderful Meredith 95% of the time. We spoke mostly over the phone and she answered all of our questions and made adjustments to our quote quite a few times before we decided on signing with LAFB. [She was incredibly nice about it and said she didn't mind! :)] Once we put the deposit down, we decided to book a tasting. The tasting was DELICIOUS and we couldn't wait for our guests to enjoy the dinner a whole year later. A few weeks prior to the wedding when we had more information on guest count and such, I spoke with Meredith once again to finalize things. I sent her a few photos of the theme of my wedding (so they could decorate their catering tables at the reception) and made sure she was familiar with the venue. She also worked very hard with me to cut costs, which I truly appreciated. On the wedding date, we don't recall seeing the catering tables because our coordinator served us ahead of time and our food was already waiting at our sweetheart table. But I trust that it was beautiful! The food was just as delicious as when we went to the tasting. We even had many guests comment on how good it was. A few of them mentioned that they weddings they've been to have been pretty average; but our catering was wonderful! Love at First Bite was such an incredible find! After exploring five or six other places that came back out of budget, I called Love at First Bite on a whim.  From the beginning they were helpful.  I live out of state so they served a sample meal to my parents when we requested to try the food.  My mom fell in love immediately and Meredith helped my mom break down the menu, find other vendors, give her advice on beverage services, dance floors, and porta-pottys and just gave my mom so much peace of mind in the whole process.Meredith was also so responsive and helpful throughout the proposals and planning. Love At First Bite catered the appetizers for the cocktail hour for our wedding and did a phenomenal job!  From day one it was so easy to work with Meredith; she was super friendly and very flexible.  She even stayed after hours to accommodate my work schedule and always answered text messages regardless of it being the weekend of after hours.  She was pleasant and helped bring my visions to life.  We discussed different options and she was so patient when I asked for specific plating dishes.  Meredith worked with us to ensure we had exactly what we wanted.  She met with us to discuss what kinds of serving dishes were required for each appetizer and she was patient when we changed the quantity over and over!  We ordered the Moroccan chicken skewers, the chimichurri beef skewers, the stuffed potato balls, the mini beef wellingtons and the artichoke and risotto cakes; they were all super delicious!  Unfortunately, we didn't get to try any the day of the wedding but the guests raved about the food!  Even the next day when we had a chance to try the leftovers, they were super delicious!  I would highly recommend hiring Meredith and her team to cater your events! I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because this company is a ROCKSTAR! We needed to cater an event for 30 people at the last minute.  They worked with me to develop a lovely menu, brought it at the right time, cleaned up after, and the food was amazing!  Not only the food, but the PRESENTATION!!  It was pretty and sophisticated with different levels, pretty serving and display pieces, just perfect in every way.  I wish I knew about them before we did my daughter's wedding.  We are from out of town, but I encourage anyone who is considering them to not hesitate, you will not be disappointed. What a wonderful experience! We work in the automotive industry which translates to a bunch of guys who like to eat! This is the first time we used a caterer for our events. I've had several opportunities to sample food provided by Love at First Bite Catering.  They do an outstanding job.  From the presentation to the tastes, all is exceptional.  Their BBQ is the bomb and so is their custom "melt bar"... at least I think that is what it was called - custom grilled cheese sandwiches with all kinds of yummy ingredients.  You can't go wrong hiring this company for any of your event needs! I organized a party for my wife's birthday and my friend recommended Love at first catering. This was the first time that I hired a catering service and it went amazing. Mindy and Meredith's suggestions were right on point and they made the whole process really easy. Everything worked as planned at the event and the food was exquisite. It was a party for 40 people and I decided to go with Hors D'oeuvres so people could try many different things. I ordered the Gourmet cheese display, antipasto display, mini beef wellington, chicken cilantro empanadas, bacon wrapped scallops, pear crostini and bbq pulled pork sliders. Love at First Bite had recently catered a breakfast event here in our office.  We were so impressed with their delicious menu and exceptional service, we used them again for a second breakfast buffet.  Once again, LAFB demonstrated they are the best at local catering services.  We contacted them again to provide the appetizers for our Holiday Party.  And, once again, they provided outstanding delicious food, beautifully prepared and the presentation was amazing.  Those who attended our event were thrilled with the yummy food, the variety we selected, and the beautiful presentation.  I strongly encourage you to consider Love at First Bite for your catering needs.  Mindy and her Staff are in a category above all the rest.  Thank you Mindy for making our Holiday event such a great success! This review is long over due but I can not say enough great things about Meredith and the LAFB crew!  She helped me with our wedding reception when we were uprooted from CA to Ohio.  I was a little nervous about planning from across the country but Meredith was excellent. She always made me feel at ease and was very timely in her responses. Once the day came she went above and beyond in setting up our venue! Everything was BEAUTIFUL and the food was delicious! I have nothing short of accolades, kudos and applause for Love at First Bite catering. The team - Donnie and Breen - were absolutely spectacular. I can't express how over-the-top pleased I was with everything that they did for me and my guests at my 40th birthday "prom." My guests were also floored. Donnie and Breen went out of their way to make it a spectacular evening, and I think they got a few chuckles throughout the night, as well (It was quite a scene).They arrived on time and got right to work with the rest of my "Prom Committee." They were set up in no time and then offered timely solutions to the rest of the set up that I had planned. Donnie made a special effort to make my "extra food" table look beautiful and match the décor. I was impressed that this was even thought of, as we did not discuss this extra attention when I hired LAFB - phenomenal. They both paid attention to details all night - if a guest needed another drink, it was refilled; it there was a spill on the floor, it was taken care of; when the cake (which was a very complicated cake, to say the least) needed to be cut, they were all over it. The food that I chose for them to serve was fantastic! There were plenty of leftovers, too! I was able to package it up and take a good portion to the beach the next day for recovery with friends, which made for an incredible picnic.My guests were pleased and I was pleased. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Would I hire LAFB again? Absolutely. And I will continue to sing their praises. I ordered the Wednesday before my company's event on Saturday catering for about 50 people. A lot of other catering companies were already booked (understandably) and we really only wanted hors d'oeuvres and such so LAFB was able to get it done! We had wanted a really nice set-up since it was for Senator Lara's press conference and boy did they deliver! The set-up was beautiful and the person who was setting it up, I didn't catch her name, was really nice and went out of her way to do everything I needed done. She even brought back disposable trays so that we could easily take the leftover food home (she packed it for us and everything!). So we ordered the pita/hummus, vegetable crudites, antipasto platter, and fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was really sweet and ripe which was good. However, the fruit pieces were cut a little too large and I didn't like that the kiwi wasn't peeled. The vegetable crudites were delicious, people really enjoyed the ranch sauce that was provided. The antipasto platter was delicious as well! It was a big hit with our guests. There was even a sauteed vegetable platter, that I wasn't sure of which package it came with, but that was delicious. Everyone came up to me and asked where I had found them at because they really enjoyed the food. So thanks, LAFB! You guys were amazing. We used Love at First Bite for a volunteer recognition event with 300 attendees. Food was heavy appetizers and LAFB knocked it out of the park. The mashed potato bar alone was a huge hit, but all the food was excellent. We have skewers, sliders, cucumber cups, fruit - all kinds of tastes to allow for all different people. So happy we worked with LaFB for our company Xmas party. So helpful right from the get-go! Easy to work with, accommodating, prompt,  and professional. Everyone we spoke with the entire process was really nice, and on top of it. Menu options are way more interesting than other companies, but still have some classics. We had a few last-minute changes that were accommodated quickly with no fuss. The two staff that were at the actual party were awesome at what they did, really kind, and made everything super easy for us! Also the presentation was fantastic. The Captain did such a fantastic job at our event.  We had a group of about 35 people and everyone was impressed by the food, display and service.  Captain saw that I had refilled my cup with water a couple of times so he took the cup out of my hand and replaced it with a bottle.  Very attentive.  The food was especially good because they incorporated their homemade buns for the sandwiches and homemade mustard.  Nice details.  The Captain arrived on time and cleaned up in a timely manner.  Thank you for making it easy for me! love at first bite did my daughers wedding august 23rd. The food was excellent. We had marinated tri tip, Portobello mushroom chicken, risotto, asparagus, pear salad, rolls, We had stuffed mushrooms and spinach filled filo dough appetizers along with a cheese platter. I asked for the tri tip to be on the rare side and it was done to perfection. Lisa who is the wedding coordinator was a huge help both before and during the wedding. I have personally dealt with John for several years and attended several catered events by Love at First Bite.  To date, with over 7 years of attending catered events and referring this company out to several friends, I have always been impressed on the catered spread and selections.  I see how meticulous and prideful John is when putting together menus and cooking for events, with absolution.I have never hesitated referring this company out to any of my friends (and that's saying a lot...see my other reviews) because my faith has never wavered in John and his team.  I have tried everything from their pasta dishes, deli plates, desserts, sandwiches and salads and have always been happy to gobble down whatever comes my way.  Great job John and Love at First Bite!!  You have definitely earned your company name! Love At First Bite Catering is absolutely the best you will find! They are very professional while still remaining approachable, which is such a rare gem these days. I have worked with dozens of caterers before finding Love At First Bite Catering and I have used them for every event I plan in the Orange County Area. Lisa is amazing, she works tirelessly to make sure your event will be perfect, and the entire staff goes way above and beyond what their duties are. They are all happy to help, and it lends to an event that flows seamlessly because everyone works together and is happy to do so. I have spent hours with John and Lisa going over menu's, linens, table placements, etc and they always have made sure that any concerns or changes I had are addressed/fixed. Can't say enough about these caterers. Great to work with and most importantly delicious food!! My company used them for a couple of Christmas parties and my then boyfriend and I loved it so much we had decided long before we were engaged that we would use them for our wedding. Love at First Bite catered my grandmother's funeral and did a great job. John, the owner, was very professional and easy to work with in setting up the menu, accommodated various changes, and coordinating together for the day of the event. The caterers showed up on time, were also just as professional as John, and set everything up with no problems and promptly. Everyone at the event commented on how great the food was and several people came up to me to let me know how good the food was throughout the reception. This company is excellent. I worked a wedding they were catering at the Huntington beach library  and the staff was very professional and organized. There was also another company who catered a different part of the meal for the wedding and this company was so unorganized that the nice guys from love at first bite had to help them the whole evening. I was really impressed. The food they served was all bacon themed,and everything tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this company for their great food ,and great employees.  Good job guys. Love at First Bite - Huntington Beach, was the best caterer I've ever dealt with!

First and most important, the food is amazing! We had so many compliments from our guests.

We had a buffet BBQ style dinner at our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend a buffet in general. They did an amazing presentation and it tasted perfect, just like our trial tasting....

The apps were plenty to go around, we didn't run out (which is often a complaint at weddings right?) The spread again, was really pretty.

They were super professional, the waitstaff, bartenders and buspeople were all amazing, friendly & accomodating.

I used Love At First Bite for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony and it truly was the highlight of the whole night. We held the ceremony inside our church and had LAFB set-up the buffet and dessert tables outside in the courtyard. When the boys came out and saw all of that food and the chocolate fountain their jaws truly dropped! Everything was absolutely delicious everyone was so impressed. The tables looked great and their decorations went perfectly with our red,white, and blue theme. The marinated artichoke angel hair pasta salad was absolutely to die for, but without a doubt the Chocolate Fountain stole the show! I hired LAFB to cater my wedding reception. We wanted a fun relaxed atmosphere with music, beer, and bbq, following our beach ceremony. We were pretty low budget so I didn't have a coordinator, just my mom and my best friend. Even a relaxed person starts to stress on their wedding day and it felt like everything stopped when I sat down. The keg people came with the ice and just dropped it in the yard, no one to put it into the ice chests. Then the LAFB crew showed up (early!) and set to work doing everything I asked of them, constantly asking if there was anything else I would like them to do. I had forgotten about the party favors and they reminded me, I underestimated the amount of ice needed and they ran out and picked some up (I DID hire an extra person to help out, I knew I would need it), they used extra shells I had left over from my tables to decorate theirs and tie it all together. I left for my ceremony calm and relaxed knowing that they had everything under control. They didn't let us down. The food was fantastic and for the amount of food we got the price was by far the best in town. I found another company who was less but there was only 3 sides vs 5 at LAFB and they litterally counted out 100 hamburgers for 100 guests, where as LAFB based their price on two per person! That makes almost twice as much food for only about $500 more and that also included a staff of four for the whole night - the other company dropped it off and came back and hour later! The whole night they reminded us and the DJ of times that things should be getting done, first dance, blessing, toast, etc. I was hesitant about using LAFB after reading that negative comment but it seemed like this person had unrealistic expectations so I took the chance. I'M SO GLAD I DID! I highly recommend them and will gladly use them in the future and already had a person from my reception ask for their number.
