Gerry is the absolute BEST! We used him for our October wedding and he exceeded our expectations and then some! He’s a genuinely nice person that’s super easy to work with and made the entire process fun, easy and as stress free as possible.
I cannot recommend him enough!! His selection of music is insane. Even when there was an artist he didn’t have that we wanted played during our cocktail hour, he wasted no time making sure he was able to get the songs for us.
He truly goes above and beyond, listens to what your vision is and helps create it without you paying for tons of extras that you don’t even need. I feel like that type of service is rare, especially here on Long Island.

LIPRODJ is a solid 5 stars business, no question about it. Gerry was very professional, organized, and exceeded our expectations the day of our wedding.
Our guests really enjoyed the music and we were thrilled to see the dance floor hopping till the very end. Literally people are still telling me how great the music was--which I think is hard to do and a testament to his ability to entertain. People even complimented the music played during dinner, which, honestly, I just assumed would go mostly unnoticed/serve as background filler.
I also appreciated Gerry's ability to accommodate some of our non-traditional requests/timeline that was specific to our needs and wants the day of the wedding.
I highly recommend LIPRODJ if you're looking for a talented DJ (not someone just playing a playlist) and also someone who read the crowd well. We also tacked on the up-lighting which really added a nice feel to the venue, and the photo booth was a huge hit. Highly recommended!

I could not be happier with the decision we made to have Gerry be our DJ at our wedding. From the very beginning he was so helpful and insightful. He gave advice on things I never would have thought of, and made sure that our day was perfect even if we threw him a monkey wrench in the day of. From the wireless microphones for our ceremony and custom choice if music. His website was so helpful trying to figure out a music scene everyone would like! Our music was perfect and he had the whole crowd dancing and enjoying themselves. We even did a bohemian rhapsody sing along and it may have been my favorite part of the night. The lighting made the venue, up lights in the perfect shade, custom monogram for the floor, and stars for our ceiling completed the theme we were going for. There are not enough amazing words to describe his professional vibe and his fun side to ensure your day is the best and you are his top priority. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Knowing what to play and when to play it, combined with mixing, beat-matching and emcee skills is key to getting a dance floor moving!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My style is a reflection of my client's vision of their event. It's more than just showing up and playing music.... it's about planning, professionalism and dedication to provide my clients a great night of DJ entertainment!
What do you love most about your job?
I grew up in a profoundly musical household. My father, being a professional musician, started my trumpet lessons ever since I could pretty much push the valves. In the years that followed, I sat “first seat” in classical, orchestral, jazz, marching and pit bands. I was fortunate enough take lessons from former members of Earth, Wind & Fire, and performed with other talent, including who is now the lead drummer of the legendary band, Blue Oyster Cult.
After my mom passed away, my father and I worked on music together to help us cope. My dad would play his horn or sing old tunes to background tracks, and I would sit behind the 8-track TEAC recorder and other processing gizmos and put it all together. It wasn’t long before I was hooked, and my passion of music shifted from performing it to recording and reproduction. I would demo everything I could get my hands on (I still do), studied audio engineering, speaker technology and sound reproduction. Sitting in on sessions with the legendary DJ Glenn Friscia was a true highlight.
One day, a friend asked if I wanted to DJ his party. I had the equipment, so I thought it would be fun to give it a try. It didn’t take long before the place went nuts. People were dancing up a storm all night. It was that moment that I realized the true enjoyment of alluring folks to get up and dance and enjoy life.
Fast-forward to today… I am nonetheless a completely self-taught DJ, buying all the necessary gear with money saved up, learning by bringing a new piece of musical technology home, plugging it in, and pushing all the buttons until something happened. My musical style and performance is a reflection of my influences and experience, and I have a vibe that lets people get loose and gets them dancing. I’m comfortable behind the decks, interact with the dance floor, and as you can tell, absolutely obsessive about music.
What inspired you to start your own business?
