I love bears and big cats, but often when I go to so-called sanctuaries I learn they are just glorified zoos. This place, though, is an actual sanctuary with the highest accreditation. So if you want to go see these majestic animals and also help rather than hurt them, this is the place for it. More...

So amazed at the work that they do at Lions, Tigers and Bears.  Bobbi Brink has dedicated her life to saving these big animals from the horrible conditions that they were in.  I give her so much credit! We sponsored "Meatball" for our friends 70th birthday and then we came to visit him!! So much fun & such a great cause! Thank you Bobbi and your dedicated staff & volunteers for all that you do! Kudos to staff and volunteers at this sanctuary. These amazing creatures who suffered at the hands of unscrupulous humans are well cared for. It takes a village- a village of humans who love and are willing to give of themselves to care and nurture the captive/ mistreated wildlife. More...

This is an amazing large cat and bear Sanctuary. They’ve taken in animals from all over the country- from idiots who purchased tigers until they realized they were too big to be cute anymore and horrible roadside zoos that kept animals confined in tiny cages. They fight for legislation to protect large animals and work with other certified sanctuaries to make sure wild animals who have never lived in the wild can now live out their lives with room to roam, food, needed medical attention, and caring people. So much to say yet nothing I can say will give this experience what it deserves. Please go support the efforts of this nonprofit working to give previously abused and neglected exotic animals a healthy and good life! Michelle is an EXPERT GUIDE and we'll be back for other visits on the day she works!!! It's sad to know about but ignoring the truth about what some humans do to animals for profit or "fun," won't change the truth. Please donate and/or go enjoy viewing these majestic animals. More...

I took a friend for her birthday to LTB for the 'Feed with a Keeper Experience' and it was amazing!  Our guide, Allee, was very knowledgeable about each animal and the sanctuary history, and she was super friendly!  It was expensive but worth every cent.  The work that the sanctuary does for both the animals in their care and for animals all over the country is so commendable, and to see where the money goes made me happy to spend it there.  My friend loved her present, and the memories will last forever!Thank you Bobbi and Mark and the whole team at LTB!! This place is definitely San Diego County's best kept secret. I had heard of Lions and Tigers and Bears occasionally on the news but unless you actually go out to see it you do not get the full picture of what a beautiful and amazing place this is. Gorgeous animals in beautiful, natural enclosures out in the rolling woodsy hills of Alpine. Very educational too for people to learn about how widespread animal trafficking is and its devastating consequences for the animals. For myself at least, it made me feel good that the money my family and I spent there goes directly to giving these animals a wonderful place to live out the rest of their lives after everything they've been through. The story of how the owner, Bobbi Brinks, answered this calling to help these animals is the most amazing thing of all. I wish someone would make a movie about her life and about the various stories of all the animals she has saved. More...

What an amazing experience! This is a great place to see these beautiful animals close up, educate yourself, and even feed a wild animal. My friend and I got the "feed with the keeper" option and we also bought a raffle ticket to win a "feed with the keeper" and we won it! So we were able to feed 3 exotic animals. My friend fed Maverick the Tiger and Punkin the Cougar. I was able to feed Bakari the Lion. It was one of the best experiences ever. I will be back for sure. More...

They will always put the animals experience above us (the paying visitor) and that is only one of the things that is great about this place. There are lots of beautiful Lions, tigers and bears with very sad stories. It is so nice to see them no longer in small cages performing or living in someone's backyard who cant afford to care or for them. Thank you so much LTB for your compassion for these animals. The whole experience was eye opening and amazing. You get so close to the animals I could hear the tiger crunch on bones in the meat she fed him! Our tour went well over 2 hours, and was absolutely worth the money. Take advantage of kids free October, and buy raffle tickets if they're offered at check in! We won and the feeding experience was such a great perk! Knowing it's a non-proffit and hearing all about their efforts makes it such a unique experience! A must go!! More...

I visited Lions, Tigers & Bears for the first time on 10/04, for the Blessing of the Animals service. I had been intrigued and curious to check this place out so that was the extra incentive to go. The place is great - clean, well designed with space for the animals yet easy to view them (unlike the Wild Animal Park), very safety-conscious for both animals and people. The tour guide provided great information on the facility and animal history. Very interesting. Learned SO much about the atrocities of the exotic animal trade. So impressed became a member and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for everyone who has an interest in animals. The owner and staff are very dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring. More...
