Just had my first body wrap and it was a great experience. She was very professional and explained everything thoroughly, and answered all of my questions before hand. I don't have very high body fat so I wasn't expecting to lose huge inches, but I did lose in my arms, stomach, and legs, which is exactly what I was looking for! I purchased a Groupon for a facial at Le Soma Clinique and I really enjoyed it! It was the first facial I've ever had and I have very acne prone/oily skin. Pamela was very knowledgable and gave me guidance on how to take care of my skin on my own. I love this place! It's local, the prices are great, and Carol is amazing. Her massages saved my body from myself when I run too much or hold onto stress, and the quiet and calm feeling at the end is basically priceless. If you want to make an appointment then message Carol on Yelp. She will get back to you within a couple of hours. I did this and had no problem getting an appointment for my Groupon microdermabrasion with oxygen facial. The facial was ok. It lasted one hour but I only had to pay $55. What I really liked was the neck and shoulder massage I got from Pamela. If she gives massages too I would make an appointment right now even if there is no Groupon deal for massages. More...

Cute little spa in a very unassuming Irvington neighborhood. Made reservations via Yelp prior to vacation arrival. Potential hiccup on the day of our appointments with a provider being sick but Carol found a replacement provider and we were off to a fantastic start to our vacation. Husband said his European facial (done by Carol) was the best facial he ever received. He kept telling me, "Look at how GREAT  my skin looks!!" My 60 min deep tissue massage (I don't remember her name but she's the beautiful expectant angel) was pressure perfect and I loved how she instinctively knew to work my upper body more than the lower extremities. I came here after getting a Living Social deal for my birthday. Booking the appointment was easy; after reading some of the reviews I was a little scared this would be one of those places where I would have to wait for a month for an appointment, but they offered an appointment as soon as two days after I called. First I had a facial with Mehri, and the first thing I noticed when we shook hands was how soft her hands were. I told her this was my first facial and that I was pretty tired that day so I would probably fall asleep, so she told me that she would keep the talking to a minimum. The only time she talked was when she was explaining to me the details of my skin (I got scolded for the scars from popping pimples :p). Her facial was amazing and she was so sweet, a perfect experience for my first facial.After that Mehri poured me a glass a champagne and waited with me for Carol to finish up another client's massage.I can't say much about the massage because I fell asleep for most of it lol. But from what I was awake for I remember that Carol was a bit too strong for me at first, but after she asked about the pressure it was fine. I bought two Groupons for this spa - one for a signature facial, another for a microdermabrasion oxygen infused facial. 11. 14.2014My first visit I opted to just do the simpler facial. Mehri was my esthetician and she was at the desk when I arrived. She handed me the form to fill out and once I  completed it I pulled up my Groupon on my phone, and handed it over to be redeemed. She took me to the room and gave me a choice of wrap-arounds to change into. She explained that she had heated the bed and made sure that I was okay with that. i was. I like a nice heated bed.   : )Once she came back in, she told me that she would explain the steps and products she was using as she did so. I don't really need that much info. I know how a facial works. But  I can understand why some people might want it. She addressed my pregnancy and assured me that all of their products are natural and that I had nothing to worry about as far as the baby. Great! Then Mehri told me that she didn't talk much during facials because she wanted clients to be able to relax. Fantastic! I strongly dislike talkative masseurs / estheticians. My whole point in being there is to relax, which is pretty difficult to do while having a conversation.Unfortunately, I think our opinions of quiet differ quite a bit. She wasn't a chatterbox, but I definitely could have a used a good deal more quiet. Still, she was very skilled at the actual service. When she analyzed my skin, she told me that it was mostly great (which I hear from allll the estheticians, tee hee) but said that I seemed a bit dehydrated and also a little dry from winter. I drink water like it's going out of style, so I was surprised by that - until I remembered that I had limited my water that morning because my bladder has no patience these days, and I knew I wouldn't make it through an hour service without needing to stop if I drank as much water as I wanted. Also, this is my first winter (I know, it's technically still fall, but still) in the Bay area after living in Los Angeles for the past 7.5 years, so I'm sure that my skin is adjusting a bit. I give her much credit for being astute. Ummm. I admit that I am more than a bit of a germaphobe. During the service, Mehri came around to the side of the bed to explain some things (more talking!)  I was really bothered by her touching her face and her hair during this time, and there were multiple instances of this. I consoled myself with the thought that she was surely cleaning her hands with something before touching my face again. Right?I was very pleased with the way my skin looked afterwards. I will post this review once I've completed the second facial service.12.19.14For my second visit, I used my Groupon for the microdermabrasion oxygen infused facial.  I very much enjoyed it. It was completely different than a standard facial, which possibly stood out more to me because it was my first time having this service done.It starts with the standard cleansing and a hot towel. Then Mehri used (what felt like) a very small, soft brush to spread the crystal cream on my face. Then she went over the skin with a wand a few times, which I imagine helps with the whole buffing/ exfoliation. It was an interesting and relaxing procedure. However, as before, Mehri did a fair amount of talking. I think it's just her personality, and she's a very nice woman, so I can't hold it against her too much.Overall, I would recommend Le Soma for facials. My only word of caution is that if you're looking for the classic silence during your treatment, you may not find it here. More...

Hidden away in a middle class suburban neighborhood, in a nondescript business complex that I drove by for more than 20 years without ever noticing it, is a little slice of paradise. Le Soma Clinique offers delicious facials and massages, and, thanks to Groupon..or Living Social...or one of them...I treated myself to one of them for my birthday. As a full-time working stiff and mom, a spa day is a rare and exciting treat, so when they come around, they'd better be good. And this one was. I'm personally not sure whether facials do anything for you, but they sure make you feel good. It's a big plus if the products are comfortable and the aesthetician is pleasant and attentive. Everything was just right at Le Soma. I'm a fan of what I like to call the "McDonald's Massage" at the $20 places that have popped up, and they'll do in a pinch (pun intended.) I wanted to update my review because I cant stop raving about the massages and facials I receive here. I no longer see Ursula for facials because she moved. But since she moved, I've been seeing Mehri. She is amazing. She has made my face clear, smooth and glowing! And shes a sweetheart. I still see Carol for massages. I purchased a package for me and my best friend at Le Soma Clinique to celebrate her birthday, and we had a wonderful experience there. The spa itself is tucked away on a quiet and unassuming residential area in Fremont. We arrived for our appointments, and my friend and I were ushered into different areas to begin our treatments. I started with the warm foot soak, and they were kind enough to offer me tea and cookies while I sat there. My massage followed with Carol, which was nice and relaxing. I enjoyed my foot massage, body massage and facial day at Le Soma Clinique! I was sat in a quiet room soaking my feet with flower pedaled fragrant water with calming music playing in the room. After, my feet were exfoliated and dried and I was put on the massage table and that was where the magic began. I absolutely love a full body massage and this was no exception. So very soothing and relaxing. I could feel my circulation improving as she massaged me. After, my feet were covered in a warm honey sugar exfoliant and rubbed and wrapped in a hot towel. After, I was told to put on a comfy white robe and go into the facial spa room. My face was exfoliated and treated with a fragrant steam bath and my pores were cleaned and treated.
