Marie was a dream to work with! From the moment we met, she was calm, warm, and put us instantly at ease (a difficult task for a tense bride, directive groom, and several family members). She listened carefully to everything we said and summarized it accurately and with far more clarity than we thought possible. She was patient and available throughout the planning process and probably answered the same questions several times. On the day of the wedding, I was shocked to see how beautiful the flowers were. Marie herself was also incredible. She cared for the flowers, taught me how to hold my bouquet, and provided a fresh boutonniere for my groom's jacket when the heat was too much for the first. I hired Marie from Laurel & Vine for my wedding flowers and she is amazing! First, she is super responsive via email and so easy to work with. I wanted fresh green leave runners as center pieces, a bridal bouquet and boutonniere and a flower wreath for the ceremony. She suggested different flower options and I felt like we were if sync right away! I even contacted her to change the runners lengths a few days before the wedding and she was able to accommodate all the changes!It was a small and simple wedding in the Redwood Grove in Berkeley and I wanted the flowers to reflect the venue. Everything was even better that I could have dreamt! My bouquet was fabulous, and the eucalyptus runners smelled amazing and were perfect for the decor I was looking for! Finally the wreath was just gorgeous! I wanted a green wreath with pampas shoots and white flowers and it looked even better that I thought it would! Marie was so kind and she stayed during the ceremony to repurpose the wreath in the dining room for our head table back drop. Marie's floral arrangements were the best I've seen, and same with her level of service.  Even when things got a bit stressful at the end with potential rain in the forecast, Marie was nimble to make last minute changes that pulled everything together for more inside decor. My husband and I interviewed several florists, and some of them pushed back on our decor ideas. (We wanted a more colorful palette for our fall wedding: reds, purples, and oranges. ) But not Marie! She immediately followed up with Pinterest pictures that proved just how perfectly she understood our vision.

Our flowers were executed beautifully, and I could not get over how absolutely breathtaking my bouquet was. Marie even went above and beyond by stopping by my dad’s house a few days before the wedding to pick up the chuppah he had built, transporting it to the venue, and assembling it before decorating. She is friendly, easygoing, quick to respond to emails, and happy to do whatever it takes to make your wedding a success—all at a very reasonable price!

Such gorgeous wedding arrangements. She made mine just how I liked it with space for my book roses. The ribbons were great. She did tell me day of that we needed water buckets for the bouquets but provided them free of charge when I couldn't get them in time. They price is a little higher, but with vases and delivery, it all evens out. Thank you, Marie! More...

There are not enough great things to say about Marie and her flowers. She is just amazing. She makes visions come to life! Marie even got flowers that we wanted, and they were not even in season... how amazing is that! Seriously, she is the best! To include, Marie is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet! Marie made my modest budget work so that we had beautiful, lush flowers and bouquets that were classic and elegant (roses and carnations in white and ivory) but still felt contemporary (succulents and eucalyptus, along with lush greenery).

Marie was very responsive and she asked important logistical questions well ahead of our wedding day. Everything arrived to the correct place right on the schedule that we had discussed, and things were nicely packaged and clearly labeled.

Our wedding flowers turned out beautiful and exactly how I imagined! I was a bit skeptical since this was one of the few vendors that we worked with that we did not meet in person. Marie and I spoke early on in my wedding planning and she seemed to completely understand my vision and we exchanged a few emails with ideas and photos. She was really able to work with my wants and needs and our budget. As our wedding got closer I did get a bit nervous since we knew we were not going to see Marie on our wedding day because she planned to set up before we arrived, but all the flower arrangements were perfect! My company and I planned a 2-day corporate event here this past winter with some high demands and expectations. The staff at the Clubhouse were amazing and super accommodating. The food is delicious, the space is as intimate or expansive as we needed and being able to open up those huge glass doors so we could enjoy the mild weather we had was a huge bonus. I'd recommend for any business event. I can't comment on weddings out here as I've never attended one, but if the staff was that good for a corporate meeting, I'd imagine the planning and event itself would be in fantastic hands! I discovered Marie through my wedding coordinator Courtney Osbourn. I decided to hire Marie because she was so friendly, professional, and very flexible to work with my budget. I sent her pictures of my style for inspiration and she was confident she could deliver the look I was going for. I felt comfortable with her throughout the entire process. Marie took that ambiguity in stride and she made my modest budget work so that we had beautiful, lush flowers and bouquets that were classic and elegant (roses and carnations in white and ivory) but still felt contemporary (succulents and eucalyptus, along with lush greenery).

Marie was very responsive and she asked important logistical questions well ahead of the big day, which helped get ahead of any stressful situations and helped me figure out how to make communication between our vendors be as smooth as possible. I also made some small, but notable changes that could have been an inconvenience for Marie, but she was flexible and patient throughout. Everything arrived to the correct place right on the schedule that we had discussed, and things were nicely packaged and clearly labeled.

Our other wedding vendors also made a point to tell us how pleasant it was to work with Marie. Specifically, our catering lead shared that she has had negative experiences with florists in the past, but she was so impressed with Marie’s flexibility and positivity as the team worked to set up our reception venue.

The quality of the flowers and greenery that Marie uses also deserves tons of praise. Three to four days after our wedding, our pew arrangements were still in good enough shape to sprinkle some water on them and give them to our neighbors as a little gift, and even a week and a half after the wedding, our bouquets and arrangements still looked lively as they adorned people’s homes. Peacock Gap Clubhouse is such a beautiful venue! Every guest came up to us either on the wedding day or afterwards to tell us they were blown away by how gorgeous the venue was for both the indoor reception and outdoor ceremony. The beautiful mountain scenery, the tall windows of the reception, the great amenities and rooms to get ready, everything! Everyone also loved the food from their inhouse catering team. We had such wonderful service! Their team really took care of us the day of and the food was amazing! Throughout the planning, their team answered all of our questions and made all the changes we requested and then changed our minds on and re-requested, lol. They were fantastic. What an Amazing Venue!! We could not have been happier on how our wedding turned out. From the start, communication with the event director(s) were timely. There was a change in the event director in the beginning, which caused some anxiety, but it went smoothly and without incident. The grounds were pristine and I liked how the clubhouse was set apart from the main golf course. I worked predominantly with Tricia, who was fabulous and super helpful throughout the whole process. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and the food had rave reviews by my guests. Stephen, the banquet manager, was also excellent during the planning process.
