Laura has photographed my family several times now and I recommend her to everyone. She handled my twins when they were newborns and again for special milestones in their lives. As if two babies weren't enough to keep her busy, she also photographed our large, energetic dog. She managed to get incredible photos of all 3 of them that we will always treasure. She is professional, friendly, talented, and a true pleasure to work with. It was easy to stay in touch with her from the planning stage right through to when she delivered the photos. Excellent experience from start to finish and we can't wait for our next session! More...

Our beloved cat Ronan was diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer and given a few weeks to live. He was our first baby and we were devastated. One of my first thoughts was that I wanted good photos of him to remember him by, instead of the one million cell phone photos of dubious quality we had of him.I emailed Laura and she was immediately understanding and receptive. We scheduled a photoshoot right away, before he got too sick. Ronan was stubborn and shy around new people, but Laura was so understanding and "got" him. She was really patient when he found his way to her storage closet, somehow opened it on his own, and climbed ALL THE WAY into the back! The photos she got of him were so beautiful and we're gonna treasure them forever. Now that he's gone, we keep saying that his little photoshoot was one of the best things we did. We give Laura five stars all the way around! More...

I've had Laura take my dog's pictures for years.  She is so talented--patient, kind, and her photos are stunning.  A lot of pet photography looks a little cheesy to me, but Laura makes them look so natural.  I've recommended friends to her for her newborn photography also, and they are always extremely pleased with her prices and the pictures.  I would 100% recommend her to anyone who wants pictures or their fur or regular babies!Update:Since writing this review, I had a baby, and of course had Laura do his newborn pictures.  They came out amazing!  She was so good with my son, and the pictures are fantastic.  I booked Christmas pictures with her too, can't wait to get them done! We've used Laura twice now and she is just wonderful. She first took pictures of our oldest daughter last year when she was just a year old. This time she took pictures of both of our daughters (2 years old and newborn). She has a special way with the kids and the pictures came out beautiful! Laura is very professional and takes her time getting all of the great shots. I often tell people about my positive experience with Laura and we'll definitely be using her again in the future. Q&As

Getting to know my client and making them comfortable is key. I make sure to spend a little time getting to know my subjects before I start posing them. Swaddling a baby or taking a few moments to interact with a pet can make all the difference.

For newborns, I ask about the baby's birth and any health issues they might have that I should be sensitive to. For pets, I like to ask about their temperament and if there is a specific way they should or should not be handled to make them the most comfortable and at ease during their session.

I love showing clients their images for the first time and seeing their happy and sometimes emotional reaction to their photographs.

I was inspired to start in newborn photography because I have 13 nieces and nephews, so I know my way around a baby! I added pet photography to my repertoire in 2016 after I lost my beloved dog Basil. When he passed, I was so happy I had so many great photographs to remember him by, and I wanted to give that experience to the pet families in my community.

I really care about people having high quality photographs printed and displayed in their homes. It's so important that your images live somewhere besides on your hard drive, which could fail at any time. All of my products are made with archival, museum quality papers and inks to last generations. I will do my absolute best to make sure you're happy with your images and that you'll have them for years and years to come.
