Loved this place for many years. Its a folksy place. Don't come here with a stick up your butt and your nose in the air. Knock on the damn door and come meet the friendly folks. The food is good and traditional mexican food with some inventive stuff thrown in. Drink are good too. No ones going to lick your ass but the service is quick. This is my all time new favorite spot to go!!! With their new renovations this hidden gem is going to become even more popular than it already is. The food is unbelievable (try the hamburger you won't regret it) the queso has a hint of jalapeno to it which was wonderful. There's been an awesome band playing every time I've gone too! If you have children there's a play area in the sand they can hoolla hoop while you enjoy your drinks outside. I've heard Sunday brunch is incredible so I'm excited to try it out soon! More...

This place is amazing! It's been for more than 70 years, it's Houston's heritage! They bring really good bands! Having a white sand patio makes you feel that the concerts are on the beach! ! It makes the ambience of the place unique! It looks that the owners have made some positive changes! In addition, their food is delicious... must try the hamburger!! Just checked out the new look/makeover at last concert cafe and I’m really impressed. More open space, nice patio/deck, new high fence, new stage loading area, new outside bar, new bathrooms, still an intimate setting, dog and kid friendl. Great new look.

Yes it's come a long way since the menu was a small or a large Plate WITCH WAS ALWAYS DELICIOUS . The scratch kitchen and staff are on point and the new look is very inviting
