Chile rellenos y michelada great for a Sunday brunch.
best secret spot I love my family here
Music was great and the staff was amazing!!!
Great time, grear service.
Tammy Williams Lewallen
waitstaff and food both great. nice set up for live music. called for a reservation but when we arrived there was no table for us. if you are a serious music person like me its a little disappointing that a lot of the patrons want to talk a lot while the artists are performing. while I prefer venues where people are there for the music it's still a fun place. Awesome music, drinks .. come on over
Food was very good. Found through Houston Information Booklet - music nightlife. music was danceable - westcoast, nightclub two step, cha cha.
Great live music venue! Love going barefoot in the sand!
Nice vibes, good music.
One of my favorite spots for delicious cafe food. Nothing but great experiences here. Prices were average for the menu. Not so close to my office, unfortunately.
Great location for tasty cafe food. Nice place to think about business. Definitely worth going back to. Prices that won't shock you.
Great location for quality Cafe food. Filled me up in no time. Looking forward to coming back with my coworkers. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often. More...
One of my favorite locations for Cafe food. the service here is better than most. i can see why they have a lot of good reviews.
Last Concert Cafe is where to go for good vibes, great food (vegan and vegetarian options available) and the best live music!
cafe food, mmm, very delicious. everyone at our table was enjoying everything. prices were average for the menu. reminds me of a place in new york i loved to visit.
Fine location for tasty Cafe food. Entered near ten, it was not crowded. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I liked.
Awesome!! Great Food, super Nice Staff. My buddy, thought my food was his, and even though it was our Screw up, they made his order what mine should have been. They Really take care of the customer!! The Enchiladas and Eggs are Incredible!! More...
Excellent scene for quality cafe food. Dropped in on Tues. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. I can see why they have so many great reviews.
Loved this place for many years. Its a folksy place. Don't come here with a stick up your butt and your nose in the air. Knock on the damn door and come meet the friendly folks. The food is good and traditional mexican food with some inventive stuff thrown in. Drink are good too. No ones going to lick your ass but the service is quick. Come on a Wednesday night if your feeling like being a hippie. Its drum circle night. Band stops for an hour and everyone plays their drum. More...
Love this venue especially because I don’t have to pay live nation $30 in services fees for a $15 dollar ticket

Great time @ LCC 2/16/19.. #iyhta “if you have to ask” played and jammed it out!
This is my all time new favorite spot to go!!! With their new renovations this hidden gem is going to become even more popular than it already is. The food is unbelievable (try the hamburger you won't regret it) the queso has a hint of jalapeno to it which was wonderful. There's been an awesome band playing every time I've gone too! If you have children there's a play area in the sand they can hoolla hoop while you enjoy your drinks outside. I've heard Sunday brunch is incredible so I'm excited to try it out soon! More...
This place is amazing! It's been for more than 70 years, it's Houston's heritage! They bring really good bands! Having a white sand patio makes you feel that the concerts are on the beach!! It makes the ambience of the place unique! It looks that the owners have made some positive changes! In addition, their food is delicious... must try the hamburger!! Bonus..on Sunday..brunch in the patio!! I love this place!! More...

Black bean tostadas are amazing
I can't comment on the food, but I definitely recommend attending a show here. It's one of the coolest concert venues that I've ever attended a show at.
The Margaritas were top-notch. Service was excellent. And my enchiladas were outstanding. Will have to visit again.
its a great place to enjoy the full experience live music provides i HIGHLY recommend it
great place to go and hang
the live music, vendor spots, art, hula hoops g and drum circles
Sun Dog Weaver & The Chocolate Orb were fantastic!! The Last Concert Cafe is always the greatest!!
love this place ! always a great vibe when I'm there
probably the most accepting community in Houston, also one of the oldest. LCC is like a piece of spirit for me. there is no other place like it. From food to booze and from drum circles to live performances. This place is a must for me. I'm almost certain it will be for you too. Wednesdays from 12am-1am(Drum Jam) Also the band "PotRoast" is $#!+...[: More...
The food, atmosphere, and music are all awesome.
Great outdoor venue with good food and very laid-back atmosphere… We were there for the Katy school of rock performance and it was fantastic!!
So we came here at my Sister's recommendation, she's a Foodie! We came for brunch. Kinda disappointed that regular menu cannot be ordered but okay brunch. Peach margarita & strawberry for the Honey, great taste and good amount of liquor. Order the guacamole! So good, Fresh, chunky...everything you want in guacamole! Honey ordered the cheese enchiladas with two eggs over easy, Refried beans (exceptional), fried potatoes. SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the pork chop with two eggs, potatoes and Pico cheesy grits. Mine was AMAZING! We couldn't decide whose was better! School of Rock was on the patio, wish we could have sat and listened to these amazingly talented kids sing and rocking it out. No tables outside. Loved it! We will be back with our kids and musically talented grandkids to enjoy the food and music! More...

awesome place for a venue
*gasp* How have I not reviewed this place? This was one of the first spots I would go to when my self-proclaimed-hipster-Northeasterner-self moved down here 3 years ago (to be fair, I was much cooler then, now I'm essentially a-okay with hanging out on the couch with my cat and a spiked seltzer...I can't wait for that to be the -hip- thing, I'll be cool again!!!!)! Ok stream of consciousness aside - I forget how I found this spot, I used to go to bars on weeknights by myself and talk to bartenders because they know everything about anything going on in the social realm of a city, I believe Last Concert Cafe was on a list that a bartender from the late Royal Oak gave me.I first went to this hidden speakeasy on a night where there was a drum circle in the outside patio and hippie jewelry vendors and I swore I saw Willie Nelson's twin there. Very eclectic and herbal environment. I've always had fun in following visits! Food is meh tbh but just eat nearby and come for drinks and entertainment :) More...

Best place to get away from the uptight crowd and listen to good garage band music! VERY chill spot away from the rat-race of the City! Knocking on the door isn't ODD it's the History of the place! Great service too! One of the best hole in the wall places to have Mexican food! More...
The food is always great! You see a burger and think, this is Mexican food so it will probably be dry and no good. Wrong! The burgers are very big and juicy and the entire menu surprises you like that! There are so many shows and regular activities, this has become my main place to venture to now. Plus they have a parking lot and security so when I attend say the Wednesday night drum circle, I know my property is safe. Try it for lunch, you won't be sorry! More...

Love this place ! They always have great music. Have been going there over 20 years
This is a very unique place: part restaurant, part bar, part live music venue. Last Concert Cafe would be more at home in Austin ("keeping it weird"), but I am so glad it calls Houston home.It is dirty and needs repainting; seating is ripped; it is in a very run-down part of town (north side of downtown); parking is frequently frustrating...and I can't stop going back! The food is fantastic and service is at least acceptable. I am equally pleased by the delicious old-school Tex-Mex as I am by the solid burgers. Sure the complementary tortilla chips are store-bought, but they are tasty and the salsa is really yummy too.I worry that if they ever try to clean up a little, the food won't be as good and their loyal hippie customers will stop coming, which would likely put them out of business. I went to this restaurant in 1979 when you had to knock on the door to get in. Not even a doorknob there. You could see the small elderly Hispanic woman cook up some of the best Mexican food ever. That atmosphere is gone, but the food is still awesome. We go every time we come to Houston. Highly recommend! More...
I had a blast my several visits on this trip. Ate spinach enchiladas here that were damned good. Music, food, wonderful staff. They treated me well.
I've been to this place probably over five times and that's only because it's a little bit far from my house I absolutely love this place they have live bands they have a full bar they sale jewelry handmade sometimes I have a food vendor they have a beach sand floor for you to take your shoes off and relax and enjoy yourself it's a great atmosphere for friends . First time visiting. My spouse heard of this place through a friend and we decided to go to attend the drum circle so he could play. Overall at a great time. Everyone was so friendly. They had nice shirts & jewelry for sale as well. Didn’t get to try the food By the time we got there the kitchen was already closed. The entry fee was inexpensive. The live music and the performers were great. Will definitely be returning. More...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS place!!!! The live music capital of Houston!!!
This place feels like a surfer commune...but in a good way! Plenty of places to sit and mingle. The crowd is diverse (a little bit of everyone, young, old, different cultures). I haven't tried their food yet. There isn't a parking lot and can be a struggle. More...
Was passing through town and love eclectic places with live music so thought I'd check this place out. So glad I did! I've had better Mexican food. But it was reasonably priced and service was fantastic. To me the real treat here was the music venue. No cover! The bands were amazing. Sound system and lights were kicking. Really cool laid back crowd. Cheap beer and great service at the bar. I'd probably be here every weekend if I lived in Houston. More...

Best place in town for food, fun and good music, especially on Wednesday nights. be prepared to stay late and have a ball.
Awesome all the way around. I love that you'd never know this place was here if it wasn't previously introduced to me. This place is one of the most diverse places I've been to since I've lived in the area, which says a lot. The food is great. The service is too.I've been here three times. Two on a dates and once with my friends. The trio that performs is so entertaining and amusing. When I went there was an Elvis tribute band performing. The show was great. More...

Second time we went and somehow it was better than the first time!! Great food, spicey red salsa but no green salsa. Can't wait till next time!
Great food and awesome atmosphere. The most unique venue in Houston!
Was there last night I ate the deluxe nachos. Very good chips and salsa was very good spicy but damn good. the service was very good and quick. I met a lot of old friends that met me there and made new ones. Beautiful people great tunes frm the live band to the dj' s. Also they have seating so don't believe bad rants and reviews. Also picnic tables. Several social areas. Damn good venue. Thanks for everything last night last concert cafe, robert, one of the naughty boyz. ;) enjoy my rant. More...
I enjoyed the music cozy n friendly met new people will go back
Hidden gem! Fair warning - parking can be a pain but it's still a 5 star place! The atmosphere is very casual and fun. It's definitely an older establishment but the delicious food, great service, and menu variety more than makes up for it. We've been wanting to go on a Friday night or week end for show but just keep missing it for one reason or another. We don't have kids but there is a sandy pit area outside and I've seen a bunch of hula hoops so if you've got small children this would probably still be a good spot for you and your family. More...

Had a wonderful time there and the food was exelent as well as staff and music..
The place is ample enough for you to enjoy the live bands! The stage is large enough for you to get a good enough angle and take pictures. Acoustic wise, the sound is crisp and one can jam out with out a problem. I got to see for second one of my favorite rock bands Elyze who happens to be native to Houston, Tx and Enrique Infante as well! So everything was great! I had a great time and would definetely recommend the venue to host parties, live events or any other social event. ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️ More...

Didnt know people was gettin' down like that! took a few to adjust. ijs
What an interesting venue. We were here for an event and the mix of crowd at first was bizarre, but I guess that's what you get when a Mexican restaurant and gay party mix, quesadillas and lesbians. The food was really great actually, the service was just lacking (though to be fair the staff may have not been so stoked on the amount of traffic coming into the restaurant from the event out back). The drink prices were average to slightly more than I'd like to pay, and the house margarita was a no-go from me (their peach flavored one was much better, the other one tasted entirely too much like salt, and I'm someone who salts everything I eat. ). Also two thumbs up for the unisex bathroom option and for the cats chilling on the patio More...
I love the eccentricity of Last Concert Cafe. The hula hoops alone sold me the first time I visited 4 years ago. For the many times I've been, I had never eaten at the restaurant situated deep in the back. This time I went for just the food...although I did have the undying urge to go hula hoop. Lol! After seating ourselves, the very warm waiter named Esteban greeted us and gave us menus. I ordered a house margarita to start and chowed down on the delicious salsa and chips. That's some darn good salsa by the way! The margarita was classic and refreshing. I decided on the personal order of beef fajitas and all the fixings. Odd that shredded cheese was extra but I digress. I opted for queso instead since I was going to be paying extra. The prices were surprisingly cheap. Especially for fajitas. The menu stated the fajitas would come out sizzling hot. They were hot but lacked the sizzling factor. Fajitas were decent at best as well as the rice and beans. Overall it was a good meal and I would return. More...

One of the oldest, funkiest (that's a good thing) public houses in Houston. My parents used to come here back in the early 70s when you really DID have to knock on the door for entrance. LCC is like a second home to me. Absolutely amazing food. Fantastic margaritas. Killer live music at night. Hell in a Bucket and Potroast are a must see.

Very nice. Enjoyed the band! I shall return with more friends definitely. Everything was fine and elegant. food is delicious.
Another eclectic destination for food, drink and entertainment. The times that I have seen bands here, the crowd/entertainment has the same vibe as Renaissance Festival without trying to get you to buy something. Hoola Hoop dancers in the sand, incense (maybe something else burning) with the band onstage keep the atmophere very casual and non - judgemental. If the very large back gate isn't open, you will have to knock on the front door. Behind the front door is about an 8 table seating area with the bar. There is more seating outside and 2 (maybe more) buildings across from the main one that houses additional seating and uniquely, primitive, clean restrooms. There is only street parking which can be challenging. Although I will not be ordering the vegan enchiladas again, I will certainly be back because I don't follow the crowd either. More...
Overpriced food, but it's decent Mexican food. They play good shows. When I go with my boyfriend we always have a good time.
My favorite Tex Mex when I come to Houston. The owner Dawn Fudge is gracious and generous. She helped me with my fundraiser to have a HSCT (bone marrow transplant that is going to help halt my MS. Thanks so much Dawn. Not only do you have great food but a huge heart!!Gina Massingill More...
Okay. ..I get it. You can pretty much listen to music up close and personal with some pretty awesome bands...yeah, yeah but I have been sitting here waiting to get waited on for the last hour and I have not even gotten a menu. I thought I had written a review. Our first meal here was lunch and it was great. I loved my meal. Service was good and I knew we would be back. The second time, we went for Sunday Brunch. I was surprised it wasn't more crowded on Easter Sunday, but there were only a few tables occupied. They had live music. This time, we sat on the patio. I think our server was new, he apologized for the service, but he did absolutely nothing wrong. Everything was fine. Keeping my tea refilled is very important and they certainly did that. I had the Texas Eggs Benedict. The potatoes were fantastic. I do not know how they cooked them, but they were so good. The hollandaise could have used more lemon, but I like a lot of lemon in my hollandaise. Otherwise, I have no complaints. The only thing I wish is that they served chips and salsa for brunch instead of the bread. The bread was good, light and crispy, I'm just a chips and salsa kind of girl. Can't wait to return for a pre-Astros game dinner. More...
This is a unique place, and may not be for everyone, but it's fun and interesting. It's different from everything in the area, and certainly worth a try. Best of all, the chicken enchiladas are delicious, the margaritas are good, and often you'll have live music to accompany your meal. The atmosphere is ultra casual and the customers are very eclectic, but that's part of the fun. The thing that was surprising to me is how good the food is, and I am very picky about my enchiladas. All the ingredients that make them up are tasty, well seasoned, and fresh. I can't talk about the rest of the menu because once I tried the chicken enchiladas, I couldn't order anything else. More...
Unbelievable atmosphere with delicious food. Came early on a Sunday and Brunch is fabulous. Stayed until opened for dinner. Worth the wait.
People saying this place is in a sketchy neighborhood obviously haven't lives in very many places in houston, it's an industrial hippie neighborhood NOT THE GHETTO
Second time to eat here in four years. Tonight? Delicious chicken enchiladas and very solid Frozen Marguritas. By the way, all of the stuff that people loved about Austin TX in 1987 has relocated to this venue. Fun.
Kris Levenhagen Kavan
The atmosphere is great, the food is awesome. The outside is a little scary, in a sketchy neighborhood, but when you go inside it's like a whole different world.
Verrrrrrrrrrrrry good food. Cute little place for catching up with friends or a date.
Great place for first dates. Knock on front door (which is always locked) is unusual. Great spinach enchiladas.

oh yeah...i likey this place!!!first of all, any real texan will tell you that you judge a tex-mex place on its chips & salsa, that is just a known fact. and this place has GREAT chips and salsa. had the cheese enchiladas with green sauce, bosses had their beef enchiladas, which they swear by (i don't eat beef but will take their word for it). good sized portions, great taste.loved the decor and history of the joint. my favorite part was the "hippies use side door!" i prefer a good dive joint over any fancy joint and am so glad my bosses brought me here for lunch! Some of the best tex mex around! Fun concerts too!
Great place, great food! I enjoyed every minute of the show I attended!

The Cafe has an unparalleled ambience of bonhomie. The bands that they host, especially the Hightailers, epitomize the good time there had by all. I just wish I could get there more frequently. More...
I had a great time hanging with friends and listening to the band. Very laid back atmosphere, open and spacious outside. Food was pretty good too. Glad my friend turned me on to this place. I will definitely be back. More...
Awesome dive bar and music venue. Very unique atmosphere that promotes a very relax environment.
Laid back, great food and great atmosphere... Been going since I work across from I10 at some warehouse in 1999
So much fun! Great atmosphere and friendly workers
Been here twice and both are times we've really enjoyed it. Food and drink is good and the music is great. A relaxed venue with good music! Will go again!
Arrived around 5pm on a Tuesday. Parking Meter Parking right in front was available. Knocked on the red door and was promptly greeted and welcomed inside. Our server Esteban led us back to a beautiful courtyard. There happen to be a band on stage playing Johnny Cash songs and some Texas country music. Esteban brought us some custom made margaritas and they were AMAZING. The queso, guacamole and salsa were excellent. Esteban also made some great food suggestions. We practically had the whole place to ourselves. There was only one other table filled at the time. More people started to come in as we were leaving. I ran into a friend in Panama City Florida last week that told me about this place. I am so glad I made a point to check this place out. Thanks! More...
Midnight at the Oasis...
LCC is what I would consider an old dive. Located on the Eastern end of DT with limited seating inside but plenty of seating out. Best beef enchiladas. You must knock on the red door. Just ask about the buildings "history", you will get a good ear full. More...
This place sustains me with good friends, good music, and good food. Great place to just hang out.
Loved this place. Great staff, food, drinks and music.
The frozen margaritas here mean business. And during happy hour they are super reasonable! (like $4.50 or something). I haven't tried a lot on their menu (just the queso and nachos which are both good), but if you're looking for a place to come and relax with a very chill staff, this is your place. We went this past Sunday and they have an acoustic jam session in the afternoon where anyone can bring their instrument and play. More...
Loved it! Great chill place to meet down to earth people, smoke, dance, shop, etc
Food here is good, not going to blow away your taste buds but good enough to satisfy them. I ordered a small Nachos which were pretty generous and had shredded cheese instead of queso. Girlfriend ordered the cheese enchiladas which she wasn't a fan of but I found them to be alright. The salsa had way to much salt. Margaritas (frozen or on the rocks) didn't disappoint. The decor is pretty cool, has a pretty decent beer selection, and this place would be perfect for patio weather. The food gets three stars but everything else about this place, including service, bumps it up to 4 stars. Love this place! Great food and drinks, love the atmosphere! Live music too! You can't go wrong and it's pretty cool iconic place. Knock on the red door to enter!
They keep the music alive until whatever time you feel like. This place is a staple for local music. I love the intimate setting and the local acts like Craig Kinsey, Charles Bryant, etc. They always have good musicians and songwriters comein to town and do a set as tradition. Many were made there. They help keep me inspired with great harmonica, guitar, steel guitar, Irish, etc. Good parking and food. Long live last concert cafe!! More...
Placed an order to go, chicken enchiladas for my mother and I. They were pretty good and would order again from them. If you are hungry and in the area give it try.
Dawn adopted and fed me well there since 1989... Fajita burgers and her potato "jalapeno " soup got me thru !!!! Mighty abliged there Mylady .... RC
Great atmosphere great people i'll definitely be back
The most amazing place ever! Great food, music and people!

My fav hang-out!!!! I get to play here at least 4 nights a week!!! 3 nights with the Jimmys Junkyard Band and one night with the fabulous Annie-B Band!!!!
Rarest place in Houston. Fun welcoming crowd who just love people and life. Great service, excellent food with the best drinks in town. The crowd ranges from young at times to oler-ish...but regulars always have a smiling face with welcome hearts. Every night is filled with great live music. Sundays brunch is the best break in any ones week. Tuesday night open mic has the most talented people hit the stage from poets to African beats...just whoever shows to strut their art. Wednesday is full of talented artist who set their booths up with their items for sale. Could be considered a Hippies paradise, but the mix of people has hippies and everyone in between!!! More...
The food is off the charts! Been here many times and always a great meal! Very cool atmosphere & great music. Have seen Hamilton Loomis several times; great show every time!
"Sitting at a red table in the small open courtyard called Last Concert, with Trevor drinking a bottle of Mexican beer. The Last Concert was only a small Mexican bar, with a jukebox and a tiny dance floor, but of the few after-hours places in Houston it was the one Aurora preferred. It was on an obscure street in North Houston, near the railroad yards, and she could hear, not far away, the sound of boxcars bumping into on another. Her old flame sipped his beer. There was no one there but themselves and an old, old Mexican woman, nodding inside behind the bar..."Larry McMurtry, Terms of Endearment. If this is good enough for one of the greatest female characters of all time, with the most peculiar tastes, it is good enough for me. Written in 1975, except for the area not being considered north Houston anymore, It is amazing how accurate that quote still is. Early in the day it is a great family friendly Tex-Mex spot, late at night it turns to a great hangout for live music on the patio. Knock on the door to enter. Inside is tiny, with a great courtyard out front, with another covered outdoor area in back with a stage. Once inside the service is on top of things, and so personable. Food comes out quick and you will never have an empty glass. The menu is that classic, no frills Tex-Mex that might as well just be called Houston cuisine. Being open longer than the original Ninfa's, it is hard to say that this is not the perfect spot if you are in the mood for Fajitas or the ubiquitous Enchilada's. Chicken Torta is great. Though I don't know what is more surprising, that the sandwich comes with fries, or that the fries are the perfect hand cut, double fried, skin on fries. Not generic store bought and frozen. Salsa is a little watery, but home made, and with a nice spicy kick. Don't confuse this for anything other than an old school Houston Mex establishment. El Real and the like are just an homage for this kind of place, and can't possibly replicate the feel and coziness. As far as nightlife, it is usually a $10 cover to see the nights bands, but some nights there is none. It does not matter though, almost always something worth seeing. Good drinks, and they actually have more than your typical macros and mediocre Mexican beer. With Saint Arnold, Buffalo Bayou, and Serra Nevada among other bottles.Yep, old school, a hidden gem, and hole in the wall. Satisfying and often really good food, and unique nightlife. Aurora would still love it here. More...
Absolute Gem!! When you pull up it looks like nothings there.. but Its a perfect hidden spot to enjoy with friends, or a date. Anyone can go there and feel welcome. There are talented guys and girls jamming on their guitars, singing the best of the best "oldies" music. Everyone was extremely friendly. There are local artist displaying their pieces. There's a sand pit area where you can hula and the food we ordered was delicious. The decor was perfectly unique, I hope they never change one thing about it! I cannot wait to return to my new found safe haven!!!Want directions to get there.. "go nowhere and knock twice" More...
We absolutely love this place. The owner is so down to earth and the staff is a reflection. Everybody is warm and friendly. Best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in Houston!
This is the best little Mexican restaurant off the beaten path you can ever hope to stumble into! The regulars are friendly and the decor is cozy. Have a cerveza with your enchiladas while you enjoy some live music or just grab a booth and catch a buzz. A local jewelry maker frequents the place and offers great pieces for good prices. This oldschool cantina is truly a home for local musicians. You can join the acoustic jam session during brunch on Sundays or sign up for the open mic night on Mondays. Smaller performances can be enjoyed indoors with your meal, but the larger outdoor stage offers a more psychedelic live concert experience. This is one of my favorite little dives for escaping the static of day to day monotony. Come to the red door, knock twice, and cross the border!! More...
This is my favorite texmex restaurant! The food is top notch. A true gem in the heart of Houston. If you are looking for a unique place with great food...this is it!
This place is like my home away from home...no joke, it's the best! I love it's vibe, the music, the food...everything here is fantastic! Hands down, the Last Concert Cafe is my very favorite "home away from home" in the world! The people are very friendly, the place is very safe, the Tex-Mex food is delicious, and the hooping in the sand outdoors is great exercise. You will not find a better place in all of Houston! More...

Great food at a place where you can get quality food, drinks if you want and good local music. Open mic night tonight gave us the opportunity to get good service from a young man who also entertained us with his guitar and vocal skills..
Last night at the 'Girl in a Coma' show was my very first time, believe it or not, hitting up Last Concert. I'm not really sure why but a las I made it. And as much as I would LOVE to give this quaint place 5 stars, I found that paying $10 for just a burger (no fries, those cost me $3 more dollars and I didn't realize my $10 burger plate DIDN'T come with fries, but my fault for not thoroughly reading the menu, I suppose) was just WAY over board :I I was also a little flustered with the bathroom situation but I'm guessing they don't hold too many bigger shows like that very often so not too much of a need to expand their facilities. I also noticed many people could just walk in without having to pay if you just came in at the right time, when the lady had her back turned for just a second or if you came in through the front of the restaurant and ate first, I guess. That was a little annoying as I had to pay $32 for myself and daughter. :/All in all, I would come back for sure, maybe on less crowded nights. The ambiance of the outdoor stage and tables are a definite make for me! More...

Love the food!!! The Fish Tacos with Mago Salsa was to die for...Can't wait to go back for the live music
Arguably the best venue in Houston. I love the sand, palm trees, good vibes, great Mexican food - plus you almost forget that you're in the heart of Houston.

A lot of great times at the LLC since 1989 for me. A true bar that I always use to explain the way the people of Houston party together. No social walls in the crowd. All having a great time. Missing the LLC living way up I45 Dallas Texas way. More...
I haven't been to this place this century. I was extremely pleased to see that it was still alive and kicking. The neighborhood has changed somewhat ( can any one say 'gentrification' and 'lofts') but still with the old charm and the 'knock'. The food was as good as I remember. I had the Black bean chalupas and my buddies had a veggie burger and some kind of Tacos with what looked Iike pot roast. Nothing was left on the plates. Great atmosphere, and great food. What else is there? More...
If these walls could talk..... To me this place has the BEST black beans in the city. I love the food, funky atmosphere, entertainment and location. Make sure you knock on the red door so you can get in. Cool place. Cool peeps. If you are looking for a place that is different, look no further. It is a gem. More...
One of my favorite lunch spots. Paid meters on the street. Be sure to pay for the extra time. They check cars every 15 mins. Def not worth the ~ $40 ticket!
This is one of my favorite spots in Houston. Great and eclectic music and fantastic food. The fajitas here are my fave. Dawn has done an incredible job of making this a friendly place for everyone.
So if you are looking for a place where everyone knows your name...you should go home. However, if you want to meet some awesome people and have some great food at the same time while listening to great bands, then Last Concert Cafe is the place for you. My night started right after work driving through migraine worthy traffic to the east side of downtown. As I parked on the street, no real parking lot at all, I was surprised to see Oxheart the restaurant right across the street (so that's where that restaurant is). I walked up to the red door, which was locked...you have to knock in order to get in, I like it! This night was the night of the No Label Beer Dinner. Already on stage was a band, they were playing a mix of original music and covers...it looked like it would be a low key night, again I liked it. When we sat down for dinner the servers were warm and welcoming and served our first beer (Don Jalepeno...spicy) with a flameado containing fajita and chorizo, omg I was in heaven. Each and every course was spot on and tasted soooo good, I was sad to learn that it was not on the regular menu I am hopeful though. Throughout the meal another band went on stage and they were awesome (don't remember the name but they were really good)...the rest of the night went well as it became an open mic and new talent got up and performed. All in all it was an awesome night. And all this on a Tuesday! More...
I love coming here for concerts. This place is a hidden gem among abandoned homes and business. I absolutely love standing in their sand pit outside barefoot while I listen to the great sounds of whomever is performing. The bartenders can be pretty cool for the most part. You occasionally run into a rude one depending on what bar you go to outside but that never stops me from ordering a drink. I haven't tried the food here. Street parking is what you are subjected to when you come here so make sure you pay attention to the street signs or you will get towed. More...
One of the best places I have found to just hang out and listen to good music.
The location is a bit weird, but overall, I think this place is awesome! It has a chill atmosphere that I absolutely love! There's usually a band playing music of some sort. It reminds me a lot of the type of environment you'd find in establishments in Austin, TX- relaxed, playful, and intriguing. And the food and service is just as amazing! I have yet to feel ignored/forgotten about here, even though it's jam packed with people every time I've come. I don't think I've ever had Tex Mex food this amazing before! And the Tres Leches? It is so heavenly! If you're looking for vegetarian food, this place has a lot of options. More...
Zena's enchiladas - best on menu and they come with a Zena story!
I was in Houston visiting for a wedding, and on Sunday morning some local friends took me to The Last Concert Cafe for Brunch. To me, it seemed like a hidden gem - though of course I am sure plenty of Houstonians are aware of this outstanding establishment. The area of town does not appear to be the best. A little run down to say the least, but that is part of the vibe. There is street parking. The front door reads "knock and wait" which I later learned is a nod to their Speak Easy history. Inside seating is limited, I remember seeing a few booths and tables. The weather was fairly nice so we decided to sit outside on the large covered patio which had a couple gas heaters. The place is no-frills, don't come here expecting modern decor and fancy cocktails. It had the vibe of a mexican restaurant mixed with some hippie culture.. very interesting indeed. When we sat down around noon a band was just setting up. Great ambiance out on the patio! Now to the food.. I don't think I have ever enjoyed a Mexican style brunch more! The menu had a nice selection of choices ranging from classic Migas (Tortillas, Eggs, Salsa, sour Cream, Cheese) to more interesting choices like Corn Flake Crusted Pork chops. Plenty of vegetarian options. I opted for the cheese enchiladas which came with two fried eggs on top, refried beans, and skillet potatoes. Myyyy goodness, this dish was fantastic! I have grown up eating Mexican and Tex Mex food and have never had anything like this.. such a simple idea executed perfectly. The one thing which was off during our visit was the bread and cheese that was brought to the table when we sat down. The slices of baguette were stale, and I just did not understand the cheese which was served with it. It appeared to be queso dip, but it was served cold. It was very odd - but in the end the actual food we ordered made me forget all about the weird stale bread and cold cheese. I would definitely come back next time I am in Houston. More...
This place is great for patio brunch when the weather is pleasant outside. I absolutely always get their porkchops. Then, I clean my plate. Their margaritas and mimosas are extremely strong as well. There's always a group of cute hippies quietly strumming their guitars or singing songs. Aside that, there's a guy who sells small adorable sustainable jewelry.Be aware that you do have to knock on the door to enter their establishment. More...
I count this and Bohemeo's as pieces of Austin that may be found in Houston. Is it lazy to liken any place to Austin because it has live music with an assortment of potheads? That's just my initial reaction. Laid-back friendly vibe with live music. You can park along the curb. There is a cover charge when a band is playing. Along the side walk there is a small building, which contains the entrance to the cafe. It's pretty sweet. I feel as if I'm in a Robert Rodriguez or Tarantino film...without the worry of potential violence. The food is great and there's a bar in there as well. If you walk out of the cafe there's a little patio with several tables and a stage that is used for their open mic on Mondays. If you walk past the stage, there's an open area with tables along the sides with an even bigger stage - this is where the paid bands play. This area is interesting since it's open air and you can sit and see some of the buildings across the street while you listen to music. More...
Was hungry last night and did a search to see what was near my new studio. Found this place so a friend and I who had been there before went to grab a bite.A little confusing too enter through the concert side but we came in and found a table. We were helped quickly by a woman who was patient with us for taking a while to decide, and kept my tea full. They let you order ala cart! I ordered a cheese and a beef enchilada and snacked on chips in the meantime. Salsa is very good, the chips are thick unsalted and I usually prefer thin salty chips, but it worked with the salsa which didn't need salt.Food was good, old school texmex and reminded me of a little dive in east Texas I grew up eating at. Genuine nostalgic feelings all over this place, love it. A bit of oil going on in my enchilada but that's how I like it and that happens with cheese enchilada. Just spicy enough. Good to dip chips in.Not bad pricing, it's not cheapy cheap but I think it's cheap enough and on par for the food. I felt good about eating there. More...

So this was my first time at LCC and as soon as I walked in the positive energy was flowing!!! There was sand and hula hooping...just a whole different experience!!! I highly recommend this place as a chill spot! I have not tried the food but I am def going back for some w the hubby. The cherry on top was that I heard some awesome bands including Cassette Tape, Idiginis, The Journey Agent , and of course I performed with LGM. What an awesome night!!! Thanx LCC!!! More...
A lot of places say they'll treat you like family, but this is the real deal. Been coming here for years, for the live music and lifelong friends we've made. May it never end.
This is definitely an interesting experience. The location is not the best part of town & you have to knock to enter the restaurant. Felt like I was entering a special club. They had the standard Mexican restaurant fare. Chips and salsa were nothing extraordinary. I ordered the mixed deluxe fajitas, they were delicious & my friend ordered the spinach enchiladas. She loved them. It was a standard middle of the road Mexican restaurant. The experience of going here was what kicked it up to the 4 stars. Definitely need to try it once during your time in HOusotn. So I went to this place a while ago with some friends to eat dinner and catch up. As our dinner was winding down, we notice a line of people outside the door who were being carded, and then proceeded to walk in through another door. Out of curiosity, we decided to enter this door. We were amazed! It was like Alice in the Wonderland opening the little door and being transported to another world. Like one reviewer said, it felt very Austin-y. It has this unique vibe that can't be explained. Lots of vendors selling their crafts, a band playing, people relaxing. It's just one of those place that you have to visit to understand. Funny that we thought it was a small, quaint cafe. More...

This is a hidden gem/dive bar/Tex-Mex restaurant in the Warehouse District. We biked there, and they were nice enough to let us chain our bikes on the front patio. (A good idea since it is Downtown, and you will run into the occasional homeless person.) As the name implies, Last Concert Cafe has live music that ranges from rock cover songs to electronica, depending on the night.I would give two thumbs up to the vegan enchiladas with red sauce. Also, the chunky guacamole was a tad sweet, but otherwise very good. Fun times. More...
This place is really adorable and reminds me of some restaurants in Austin I used to frequent. It's very artsy looking. I love the patio of the restaurant and the food was delicious. The SO and I might be making a move across town to the Eastside soon, and this was the first place he took me when he was trying to calm my protestations about leaving behind El Real, Chapultepec, and La Tapatia. He made a good choice!Last Concert is a super laid back place with an intentionally divey feel. The owners really appreciate the history of the place, and they take care to maintain an atmosphere that prefers regulars over newbies checking out the place. It's the kind of place I love, basically.Despite my first timer status and my SO's only occasional visits, we were given amazing service by our waiter. Very attentive but not overbearing, and had excellent suggestions like "Would you like a second margarita?"The vegan enchiladas are delicious and it's *awesome* that they're on the menu. The SOs spinach ones were also awesome, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that the rest of their menu is probably pretty solid as well.Oh, and you'll eat buckets of their salsa, so don't expect it to be a low cal night. Just made my 2nd visit to "Knock Knock", per some regulars I know, or as the rest of Houston calls it, Last Concert Cafe!First time, we sat on the patio because of our large group. Our waiter was very nice, and recognized those regulars I told you about earlier! The chips and salsa were good, their queso was very good! I had originally set my eyes on a larger lunch dish, but after inhaling the chips and queso..i went for a lite plate with the cheese enchilada, #2! It was good but I really didn't find that super special or anything! Now for my second visit, I went for the cheeseburger on the lunch menu. I must say this was a great burger! It was done and wasn't pink!!! The cheese is like a mixture of colby/monterrey jack shredded. The bun is the kicker, it is kinda sweet and they grill it! For being a mostly tex-mex place, this was a great burger! Service was good again!JUst remember when you go..you have to knock and wait for someone to open the door for you...its tradition from back in the day when it used to be a "chicken ranch type establishment" lol More...
Great location! Highly recommend the tostadas. Tacos were way too salty. Even recommend the chili fries!
I've been going to the last concert since the early '70's there was no door knob on the outside red door. You had to knock to get in. There was a little diamond shaped glass in the door , with a curtain over it from the inside. Once you knocked on the door, it took a few minutes for someone to pull back the curtain and look out at you. If you looked ok, they'd open up and let you in. Their was seating only in the front. The Menu when I went their was a large plate or a small plate. I was never carded for beer. It was a hippie hang out for sure! More...
I know...I'm late. Yet again. I am not sure how I've avoided going to the Last Concert Cafe all these years, but I am so glad I have found her! This little gem (and I mean little), is tucked away behind the Harris County jail in the Warehouse District on the edge of Downtown. If you blink, you would literally miss it unless you heard the sounds of live music wafting from behind the privacy fence. They host a lot of great local bands on the weekends, and have ample outdoor seating to enjoy a nice spring Houston evening. I recently stopped in with a good friend to have dinner and watch one of her favorite bands - American Swindle. We ate up front in the tiny little kitchen/house, and I was thoroughly pleased with my cheese enchiladas. I'm not a huge enchilada fan, and in all actuality it's way more basic than I normally order but they were delicious! Paired with a Pacifico and black beans and rice...I was muchas gracias! Or something like that...We sat outside at the picnic table to take in the music out back. The band was great, but unfortunately it was just to chilly for us to stay for too long. The only downside to the visit was they only had 2 outdoor heaters for a space that probably required at least 5...no bueno! Me es muy frio! Hasta luego! More...
This is an awesome place to grab some great Mexican food, a few drinks, catch some live music, and indulge in some alternative smoking options- if you're into that. The history behind this place alone is wonderful, an old speakeasy where you still have to knock on the door to be let inside, and where the old Judges' names are still painted above their regular booths where they spent late night with their mistresses. Such a cool little place, outside seating & patio, complete with a sand area outside with picnic tables in front of the stage. Not the absolute cheapest place around to grab a drink, but between the drinks, the place, and the people, it's well worth springing for the little extra. Sunday mornings are the perfect time to sit outside, watch a patio full of musicians play, enjoy some brunch & mimosas, or a morning margarita, and enjoy a beautiful day. I have never been disappointed by this place, or the people I've met out here, and highly recommend stopping in. More...
Great music, great food, great staff, friendly folks. What else ya need?
If I start talking about all the things I love about this place, I will go on and on forever.Oh how I have missed LCC since moving to Austin! :(knocking on that door is always such a great feeling. It's like a secret or something.I had just enough time when I was visiting for a good brunch. And it was SO good! The frozen margarita machine wasn't working quite yet so my BF ended up with a not so frozen syrupy drink, but i got the Bloody Maria and a couple mimosas and I was pleased they still put a strawberry on the glass. My bloody maria was delish. I LOVE the bread and dip they serve and my eggs benedict? PERFECT! the egg split just right, the hollandaise was amazing, the fruit was fresh and tasty and my beans were the right texture and so yummy. After the food I sat back and looked at all the beautiful foliage, stuck my barefeet in the sand and listened to the jams. I never wanted to leave and I can't wait to go back. More...
Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies....Oh, sorry. Anyway, back to the review. I have been hanging out here for a few years, but that doesn't even come close to how long some of the regulars have been hanging out! With a namesake that is recognizable almost anywhere in this great city, if you haven't stopped by, you must; and well, if you have, stop by again! If you score a seat in the small indoor dining area you may think yourself lucky. And you are, you are still going to get a great plate of true Tex-Mex (most of the food is great and cheesy and cilantroey) and sit right by the full bar, but hold your hungry horses and make your way out back to the patio because this is where you get the full experience. Maybe not the FULL experience, but pretty close. Hopefully one of Houston local musical geniuses will be jammin' out and you can sit back and sip on your margarita and just enjoy. Wanna burn that cheese enchilada off...take a turn at the hula-hooping! Yeah, you heard me. Right in front of the stage and toe deep in sand, you can take your hand at a little wiggle with the hoop. The service here has always been great and helpful. I know a lot of other local hangouts hold themselves high and don't think they need to help a customer out, but you won't get that here...this is a laid back joint if there ever was one. Why not 5 stars? Most like anywhere else, parking can be tricky. When I say tricky, I mean almost non-existent. But try not to let that scare you. You don't have forever to cross this off your bucket list of Houston dives More...
Great place to come and chill with your peeps! Dinner shows are great for dates. Brunch is amazing!
My brother and I went to the Last Concert Cafe' a few weeks back and it was one of the most unique places to eat that I have been in a while. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was the best! More...
After a work-out on a Monday night I wanted to gain all those lost calories so my friend and I opted for some Tex-Mex. I had always heard LCC was a place to be. I was wondering how it would be on a Monday night. We looked for a safe parking spot along the street where we wouldn't be towed and walk on over. The door was locked...we were like DAMN it's closed! But it says knock and wait...Sure enough after about a minute someone comes to open the door. Very strange, but I guess the area is not the best place to leave your door open.I had the Pauls tosta burger and my friend had the Burrito grandiosa. We also started out with the Crab jalepenos. The food here is nothing to brag about but their atmosphere is why you should return. Right when you enter it's your typical restaurant, but if you go further in you are welcomed to a mini oasis. It even comes with REAL SAND. They have a stage with live music. Great time to hang with friends and grab a drink. More...
I love this place. It's a hippy-like throw-back to a Houston that was way before my time. You expect Jerry Garcia to walk through the door at any moment (except he's dead). I have lots of food issues, so I'm grateful that a Mexican haunt as a 100% vegetarian dish without cheese! Grilled veggies, rice, beans, tortillas - how can you go wrong? It's good and cheap and eclectic and the waiters are always friendly. (Ours told us a great Rick Perry story involving spilled ice tea)My only beef... so hot...no AC... no escape! It makes it a bit hard to eat. I know y'all are going for an old-school vibe, but they had AC in the 70s. More...
This is a great hidden gem in an obscure part of Downtown. The food here is always delicious and fresh. They seem to love cilantro as much as I do, which is makes me a happy girl. There is a small area indoor space, a covered patio that sometimes features acoustic shows, and a large open outdoor area and stage in the back for live music. The outdoor stage has a sand area in front flanked by picnic tables, so be prepared by wearing cheap sandals and the expectation that you might get quite a bit sand on yourself.I came here to see a friend's band play and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I look forward to coming here more often. More...
The concerts are actually fantastic. Didn't get a chance to eat at the cafe but heard the food is awesome.
An unexpected but surprisingly enjoyable find. This is not a typical restaurant, bar or music venue. It's a category of its own but nonetheless worth checking out. There is a feeling of being in Mexico, especially while seated outside with a $3 margarita listening to great, live music. Just know that Monday is open mic night so there will be surprises- some good, some . . . But with Happy Hour all night and some crab jalapeno poppers it'll be a good night. More...
I love this place although I really hate the knocking. I come here once a week because I think it has very good Tex-Mex and salsa (I'm speaking to you Rob Walsh)! Of all the Tex-Mex restaurants, I like their margaritas the most. Just enough lime juice and not too sweet. Sandra's chicken enchiladas are my favorite although David's vegan enchiladas are also good. On top of that, the Hightailers play here weekly. More...
Came here last night for the first time, which somewhat violates my "you should try a place twice before yelping" rule but I also worry with that rule that I might not actually return to some places within a timely fashion. And, I really liked this place, so I want to give it what it deserves. It was a quiet Sunday night, and we were given our choice of tables. Even though it was humid, decided to sit outside, which I'm glad we did because they had a band out there quietly playing a lot of Beatles tunes. Good for background music, not too much where we could not talk etc. The service was good, constant replenishment of chips and salsa... good chips and salsa too. Chips were warm, always a good sign, and the salsa had a nice kick to it and some flavor. I had been craving black beans (yes, I have weird cravings), so I went with the black bean tostadas which were exactly what the Dr. ordered. They came with black beans, grilled chicken, feta cheese, lettuce, tomato and I got a side of guacamole. It all tasted really fresh and was exceptionally done. I was worried that two tostadas weren't going to be enough food, but it was the perfect amount. Didn't have that "I'm too full feeling" and we were able to split a cupcake for dessert (those came from Crave not Last Concert). He had (at the server's recommendation) the Chicken enchiladas, which looked good but I was enjoying my food too much to worry about trying something else. All in all, great meal and I would definitely come back to Last Concert Cafe (and I would try the dessert next time, because I saw a few go by and they did look yummy). Oh yeah, and bill for two people, two entrees, 1 drink, 1 side of guac... $22, not bad at all! More...
My first experience with this place is a night I will never forget. My parents had some friends in from out of town, and remembered how much they liked this place from an art crawl a couple months back. We went there late one evening and managed to stumble into their annual rave. The food was fantastic, but how did I end up at a rave with my parents?! The place has a great artistic feel if you're going for lunch, and normally a very chill live music venue at night. Just be careful of going randomly with your parents at night. You may end up traumatized. More...
Last Concert Cafe would probably get 3-4 stars if it were a normal restaurant along Washington or in the Galleria area, but the adventure of finding the place and its ambiance kick up the experience to five stars. It's pretty much the definition of "off the beaten path," so you get that "in the know" feeling when you knock on the door. The service is quick, the food is tasty, and the venue is a great place for Houston musicians. If you haven't given it a shot, you should. More...
Ive lived in Houston for 2.5 yrs and Ive finally found my favorite live music venue. This is where its at, the place Ive been looking for but could never find. Parking a bit tricky not being familiar with that area but once inside, it was one of the best nights Ive had in a long time. Killer location to see live music with the outdoor area/stage setup. No need for lengthy descriptions as all other reviews cover that, but definitely my type of crowd and even ran into some friends. Lots of NOLA ppl there as we saw Anders Osborne and Stanton Moore (excellent show btw!!). 5 stars all the way, wish I could put 10 stars. Perfect mix of Austin and NOLA live music restaurant/bar. Get away from a typical Houston bar scene at this awesome Mexican food music venue. Great outside patio area, live music and 420 friendly. What else do you need? I've seen a few shows here and haven't been disappointed. The food is actually really good also. Check out the website for music schedules and for weekday events like the Wednesday night pot roast or a late night drum circle. More...
Nestled away on a rundown road in Houston's Warehouse district lies this hidden gem. I stumbled upon this restaurant when I parked on Nance Street for the Art Crawl this past weekend. I entered through the backyard of the restaurant which contains a sand pit, a stage for a live band, and picnic tables to eat on. As soon as I peaked my head in to this restaurant, I knew that I had to eat here. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat, but it is a place to seize the day. If you want to be seated, head over to the front door of the restaurant which is left unlabeled. Sit outside if there is a band playing!!! The band last Saturday night was incredible. The ambience is wonderful. It is relaxing and gives off a rather Bohemian vibe. This is a slice of Austin placed on the outskirts of downtown Houston. Ambience and entertainment I give this restaurant a 5 out of 5. The food was also delicious. The menu features a variety of tex-mex options from enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, and other mexican goodness with a Texas flare. I ordered Cheese Enchiladas which were absolutely superb. Enchiladas are a perfect litmus test to see if a Mexican place knows how to cook their food. And, the Last Concert Cafe passed this litmus test with flying colors. 5 out of 5 stars for the food. I ate my plate until there was nothing left. Now for service. Unfortunately, the service at Last Concert Cafe was poor. We constantly had to ask for the waiter to bring us more water and chips and salsa at the beginning of our meal. The waiter did apologize for his negligence, saying that he had been so busy every day, and asking for forgiveness. So I will give the servers a break since it was the Art Crawl, bringing hustle and bustle into this neighborhood. But on this particular day, I give the service 2 out of 5 stars. Everyone that lives in Houston or is visiting the area must come to Last Concert Cafe. I can not rave about this place enough. Even though the service was bad, the ambience, band, and food makes this restaurant incredible. I would love to come here on a Wednesday night for the drum circle! More...
This is the only good Mexican food I had the entire time I lived in Texas! It's a shady little dive and it's not in the best part of town, but it's worth worrying about what might happen to your car. It really is. The house band is hilariously bad, but they're so bad that it's entertaining and not in the least bit annoying. The acts they bring in tend to bring in an "alternative" crowd that you probably wouldn't bring your child around, but you should consider getting a babysitter for to enjoy the show and company. The sand pit ends up having hula hoops, fire throwers, belly dancers, and great eccentric performances from local and state performers. The drinks are affordable and the margaritas are quite tasty. The food is very good, even at crazy hours of the night. You can't order wrong. More...
Great place. Cane out for the bands but the food was great. Mexican food was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing.
Came to pick up an early dinner to-go. Great laid-back environment to grab a pint... or two. Ordered some food from the cool bartender, listened in a little bit on the live set going on out on the spacious patio and enjoyed my wait. Any other night, Kelly S and I would have enjoyed the sights and sounds of the night, but we had to get to the brewery for some free brews! The (tex-)mex food was pretty tastey:-very flavorful and fresh salsa...-not so good queso... -cheesy quesadilla (with spinach and 'shrooms) -delicious poppers with crabmeat stuffing! The wings had good flavor, but had too much breading and were a bit mushy, but clearly this type of food isn't the focus of their menu. The tex-mex items, however, were mostly on point and I look forward to trying their actual entrees. More...
I visited this place for their Praia Urbana party! I had never even heard about it before...but I was glad to be introduced to it! It is so cool! I am not sure what it's like on a regular day, but Praia was awesome! It took us forever to find a parking spot but once we got in, we were fine. I really loved the feel of this place... I didn't even know places like this existed in Houston... It was so beachy, exciting, and like some of the parties I have been to in Miami... The sand gives it such a fun touch! It's just a really chill place with a very diverse group of people, which I always love... I look forward to visiting it on a night other than Praia...Seems like a place to enjoy any genre of music... not just DJs that Praia offers... More...
Do you remember the first time you had really good Tex-Mex? For me it was at Ruby Gutierrez's' home when i was in junior high school. Her Mom's food was elegant and while simple, it was not uncomplicated. Their house was tiny, multicolored and not in very good repair. But the family was great - her dad and I became good friends and Tex-Mex. Well I have lost touch with Ruby and her family but if they were still cooking, it would be at the Last Concert, where their food was exactly the same. The last time I was here was in the 80's and the place is quirky and run to much like a frat house for me but the food is exceptional. I will go back but just in the daytime and in less than 20 years. Thanks for the food - kill the TV in bar area and kitchen that is so loud and I will give you 5 stars.
