When I came to LNF I didn't like working out. In fact I hated it. But I came because I need it. Need it, not want. I tried a few other options in the area and they just didn't feel right. The equipment was either old, too sparse or the place just felt dirty. LNF is super clean, loaded with equipment and has an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff always there to help. I opted to work with a trainer, and was lucky enough to work with Norb Motte. Norb works me hard and is incredibly knowledgeable, but he's also a good guy with a sense of humor. Larry North Fitness of Fort Worth is by far the greatest gym in the Fort Worth area. I was always skeptical about getting a gym membership, because I was worried that it would be a judgmental atmosphere and felt that I wouldn’t be as competent as the others who knew what they were doing. It has been the complete opposite. The staff are always so friendly. From the front desk to the trainers to the manager, they all remember everyone’s names and get to personally know you. I truly enjoy the family-like environment that this club holds and it is one of the main reasons why I get so excited for my work out. The equipment is top notch, user-friendly, and very well taken care of. The locker rooms are fully equipped, so I don’t ever need to bring anything from home. The gym isn’t packed, so I don’t ever have to worry about getting on a machine. I like LNF Preston center a ton; it’s a super clean, private gym where you can get a great workout in. The only thing I really don’t appreciate is the few times they haven’t been open at 5 AM before work. ..they have 6 customers waiting outside the door right now to fit in a workout before a busy day at work, and no one is here. It’s happened a few times before, and it’s gotten better, but it’s just not acceptable when customers have about 3 hours a week to fit a workout in to not be open when they say they are. More...

I had a guest pass so I visited this gym. It's in a convenient location right downtown and there is valet parking. The equipment is all clean, pretty updated, and all the cardio equipment was working (which is pretty rare for some gyms). I like the way the gym is organized from weights to cardio and machines. The good: 1. The staff is excellent. The manager, Rudy, gave me a tour and took the time to explain everything. The front desk staff is always pleasant and will refer to you by name. 2. The ladies room / shower areas are one of the best I've seen in a gym. They offer soap, shampoo, towels, razors, hair dryers, etc. Everything you need to be refreshed after your workout is offered. 3. No pushy sales people. I was offered a great deal to join and didn't feel pressured. The bad: 1. No child care offered. That seems ideal for the location, since it's downtown, but that's important for my gym home. 2. There is a large window. If you have any type of workout anxiety, you might not feel comfortable. People that are walking down the sidewalk look through the windows often, but it wasn't a big issue.
