Man this has to be one of myFavorite bakeries in la. The quality is evident in everything they make. I've had all their pies and the Nutella danish is to die for. The crust itself was buttery , flaky while keeping a good crisp , the Nutella on top was the icing on the pastry . Muy bien I love la Tropézienne I'd come here every day if I wasn't worried about my waistline . Cheers guys :) More...

La Tropezienne created my wedding dessert table and I couldn't have been happier! They are amazing at communicating and making sure they created exactly what I wanted. I had so many ideas and they were so accommodating and delivered on everything I asked for.I am so thankful to La Tropezienne because they made sure my dessert table was set up and looked absolutely beautiful! I had nothing to worry about! My guests loved the desserts and complimented how beautiful the presentation was. La Tropezienne provided many different types of desserts and everyone loved it!!I would definitely book La Tropezienne again for a future event. Thank you so much!!! More...

I love this place but I came at 6:30 (right now) and they're closed. Hours say until 7. The woman inside is just standing behind the counter texting.

Come on guys- you need to up your drinks game because it is bringing you down. Pod coffee- awful- people can make that crap at home. The coffee is cold and gross. The hot chocolate wasn't even luke warm- first time in my life a hot chocolate was served cold. Ick. However your almond croissants are TO DIE for! I have not had a croissant as good as this since Paris. I actually think your croissants rival the best Parisian ones! Will be back for the croissants. You get 10 stars out of 5 for the croissants and zero for the drinks. Also the pine smelling cleaner you use is overpowering. Smell creates ambience too- just something to consider. In response to your response-Just get real coffee beans and stop using the pods. No point in asking to have a coffee remade if it's going to taste the same. I should have asked for the hot chocolate to be warmed up though. You have to understand that it's awkward for people to return to the counter and it causes a little embarrassment for everyone. Most customers don't complain they just don't come back. Both coffee and hot chocolate were served cold so something ain't working in your kitchen.... More...

THE BEST CROISSANT IN LA. No more needed to add.Smell and taste of the French butter was flying inside my mouth while the outer skin has its crunch. Soft inside but not soggy. For one second, I thought I was in France. But no, I was in LA, I realized after I finished the croissant. Sad I only had one... More...

Lets just be real, this place is down right amazing. I couldn't help control my sweet tooth and I went to town on the pastries & I didn't even regret it. After living in Europe for the past year, I've been trying to get my hands on something true or near authentic to the pastries I enjoyed there & this place did it. Did it just right too.  The display is absolutely European with the overcrowding of chairs and the glass walls I don't think I could be any more perfect to enjoy a nice expresso & a croissant, which in fact I did. I did a few different samples on the menu, one of which was the quiche with salmon & they topped it off with the most amazing green salad. To say the least I could really have one of these a day, but for now I'll just enjoy it monthly. It really overly exceeded my expectations I'll be coming back here forever. The only negative thing I could say was the parking, the street cleaning prevents parking out in the front most business hours but I just made a turn into the residential street and parked there no issues. You're welcome!!! More...

I came here on a whim just to get a pastry and some tea . I tried the almond croissant and the white lotus tea . The white lotus is a green tea with low caffeine and it has a little kick/spice to it. Kind of similar to lemongrass. I thought for just a tea bag in a small cup of hot water, $4.30 was a little pricey. It wasn't freshly brewed tea but still ok. The almond croissant wasn't too sweet and the almond flavor was subtle. All the pastries looked freshly made and delicious. I would definitely come again next time to try something different when I'm in the area . More...

This is a cute bakery on La Brea with really good french pastries. I came here after my trip to Paris because I was craving croissants. I didn't get a croissant here because they were a little pricey, but I got a few other pastries. You must try the chouquettes here! They were my favorite things. When I got them, they were still very warm and fresh. More...

I've come here several times after boxing classes nearby and have to say it is one of the more delicious French bakeries I've been to in LA. I've tried a couple of the Eclairs which I have to say are the true stars of this patisserie. They are so tasty and smooth and legitimately just all around wonderful. If they didn't cost so much per eclair I would be in daily scarfing down at least 5 of them. If I ever have a French themed party or a need for delicious baked goods this will be my go to spot for authenticity. The entire staff also speaks French so you know this place is legit. Beware of parking nearby though. Signs are misleading and the meter maids are on the hunt for fresh blood. More...

Absolutely loved this cute little French bakery! You can see how much pride and effort they take to make each little pastry in this place. All the sweet treat are not only delicious but so pretty. The attention to detail is palpable. The staff is super nice and will take the time to answer any questions and explain the ingredients of their products and even give some great recommendations. The coffee is excellent too! The place although small has floor to ceiling windows making it very bright and welcoming. I enjoyed very much coming here. They do not have parking but there are plenty of meters on La Brea or surrounding streets More...

Very pretty bakery with tasty treats. Parking seemed to be limited to the street out front. I really like the boxes that the goods are packaged in. They're thick, laminated paper and look like marble. It creates a very nice presentation if you give it as a gift. More...

So my friends and I had planned on going to Republique for lunch on a Sunday, but we drove by and the line was so VERY far out the door. We decided to keep driving down La Brea, and saw this cute little cafe that didn't have too many people in it. We found free street parking on W 2nd St. The pastries looked beautiful, but at that point we were hungry and got full meals. I tried the ham and cheese breakfast croissant, which hit the spot. The employees were actually French, and they didn't rush us even though we were there like an hour and a half after we finished our food. The inside of the cafe looked like marble and was very aesthetic, and there was also outdoor seating, with two chairs next to each other at each table like they do in Europe. People came in and out mostly to buy pastries to-go, which I'd definitely do next time! More...
