The La Fonda on Main St has preserved a beautiful historical building and created a warm, comfortable place for fine dining. The menu is classic Tex-Mex fare, but the plating and presentation have been updated to deliver a contemporary impact when the table is served. Prices are high but the comfortable furniture and the choice of indoor and outdoor seating makes La Fonda on Main St a wonderful venue for family gatherings.Favorite selection is the La Fonda Special. We had lunch in the patio on a gorgeous day and the food was great. They allowed our friends' dog and others and they behaved nicely, you'd barely notice they were there. Nice flan dessert too !

Excellent dining. Drinks are great, food is even better. Good wait staff, clean restrooms, plenty of parking. We were a group of 12 and food was all delivered at the same time, chips n salsa were plentiful, tea was tasty. All around great evening. ♂️

Very good tasting food with an extremely courteous staff. The food tastes great, but I would say a bit over priced. The Sangria tastes really good, I would definitely order it again. I had the ceviche as an appetizer, I was a bit disappointed because it is more like pico de gallon than ceviche. The food is solid (particularly the guacamole and amazing homemade salsa), but the true star is the patio. Linger under the live oaks with the lush vegetation and birds wheeling through the treetops, and pretend you're in old Mexico. Food was great and so was service. Though it was a little chilly we ate out in their garden area which was beautiful and decorated with heat lamps and lights in the trees. The queso fundido with duck, trout, steak with problano mash, chocolate cake and churros; were all fantastic. On the high end but worth it, especially for the quality.
