Randomly came across this place while shopping at the Northpark Mall. I wasn't sure what to order so my server suggested the rice salad, which was popular according to yelp. I ordered it with grilled chicken since I don't really eat pork. It's served with basmati rice which is my favorite and plantains. It reminded me of having the perfect mix of middle eastern and Latin food. I also ordered the Vaca Blanca. It's espresso shot with Belgium whites chocolate and hot milk. It wasn't too sweet and it was so smooth. I would definitely recommend it! I decided not to have dessert since I was having dinner in a few hours. But from the tables around me the jar cakes are what they're known for. I will have to try it the next time in town! More...

My friend and I came here on a Sunday for brunch! We chose this location as opposed to the one on Mckinney Ave because they had outdoor seating and the weather was AMAZING. Anyways, it was about 20-30 min wait for outside seating which ended up being just a 15 minute wait. We got seated, got greeted by our waiter, and was deciding what to get. I would give this five stars because the food was fantastic but our waiter wasn't fantastic at all. He seemed irritated i asked all these questions about the coffee/latte drinks and seemed like he was in a rush to get somewhere else (mind you it wasn't slamming busy) and just overall didn't seem to give off a very comfortable and good vibe. But the food made up for lack of good service. I got the Huevos rancheros Finos which is avocado and bacon added onto it for additional $5 bucks but SO worth it. My friend got the Filete a Caballo which she loveeddddd. We definitely want to come back again like it was the best Huevos rancheros i've ever had! We also got the iced coffee and caramel latte with a cute heart design on it! More...

Love love love this spot! From the decor to the food to the ambiance to the service, this place is an absolute gem! It's located in the Knox/Henderson area and has a cute Spanish vibe. From the moment you enter, there's Spanish music playing. There's a garden seating area that's enclosed, but has windows all around it and is attached to the indoor seating area. There is also a beautiful display of cakes as I believe they are known for their cakes and pastries. The menu has a variety of delicious Mexican inspired dishes. My husband and I ordered breakfast bowls, which included eggs, black beans, salsa, cheese, avocado and tortilla strips. Our meals were excellent and the portions were the right amount. What I also love about this place is that they have a full espresso/coffee menu. I ordered a latte made with their homemade almond milk and it was one of the best lattes I've had! The service was excellent and the staff was very hospitable. Overall, amazing experience! Will be back! More...

The waitress that recommended the salad was very charming.I think if you're going out with a work gang for lunch, this would be a perfect spot. The bar food is more than adequate, and they have some decent happy hour prices.I stopped by for early dinner, which was sort of a miss, as I felt like the food isn't filling enough to be Dinner-worthy. They have all kind of food, from tacos, to chorizo burgers, chicken salads, salmon, and others. The best part I should say it's the desserts the triple chocolate Venezuelan cake it's my favorite, followed by the tres leches. Don't even second guess it, this place is off the charts amazing!!!!Food: You will fall in love after trying the empanadas stuffed with shredded beef, encased in a golden shell made of corn. Make sure to order extra because the serving size of 3 is not enough. Carne Asada platter was split between 2 people, they upcharge $3.50 to give it in separate plates which includes extra beans and rice. Totally worth it. Portions were perfect. Not sure how someone would be able to eat it by themselves. There is a side of cheese with the perfect slab of meat and it all goes together so perfectly. I practically licked it off my plate. *** my friend said it's "the only place in Dallas that knows how to make a mojito" Service: Sweetest waiter, didn't catch his name though.  He gave us a $25 voucher to come again! Raves all around from our group of four who enjoyed a quiet Friday dinner last week. I'd only been to La Duni for breakfast and brunch, so sampling the dinner fare was a treat. My mojito martini was refreshing and not too sweet. Others enjoyed beer and a lemon martini on the cocktail menu. We took the server's recommendation and were all pleased with our meals. I had the half chicken served with an aromatic, flavorful sauce. My friends raved about their food--the beef (bistec) and a shrimp dish.  Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the guacamole was phenomenal--a unique twist on a staple. Service was leisurely. I came in with my friend and I for lunch yesterday. There was no wait and it was after 12 PM. We got seated right away with no problem. Joel was our server and he was good and kept checking on us and updating us on where our order was at and how soon it should be out. I was quite pleased, as his service was above and beyond. He was very attentive and answered our questions regarding the menu. For appetizer, my friend and I decided to try the Texas Dip. Let me tell you, that was so delicious!!! The salsa that came with our chips before our appetizer had a lovely kick to it. To me that was not a problem, as I have built some tolerance to spice to some extent. As far as the main lunch meal, my friend and I decided to split the rib-eye fajitas. That itself was enough for two gals. We decided on a well done rib-eye. Rib-eye tasted savory and definitely came out sizzling hot. We got corn tortillas and it was "unlimited," meaning we got like 5 corn tortillas for us to share, as requested. :) The fajita platter definitely was enough to share with my friend and I. I even added the Texas Dip and it made my fajitas taste wonderful!! Our dessert was Baked Alaska, I think the kahlua being poured in it was a winner for my taste buds. I definitely would go back for the dessert. I just feel bad, I never got to use my $2 off for being a Yelper and have accidentally marked it used. Hopefully, I can come back and make it work for me. This is such a cozy, elegant cafe. I came here on a lunch date so I didn't have long to spare. Angel was our server and understood we were on a time crunch. He gave us recommendations on food which the polo aljibe caught my attention due to it having a champagne sauce. I thought that was a classy spin on roasted chicken. 1) service was amazing. Waiter was friendly and everything was time officiant from us being seated, orders taken, served and received check. I love empanadas so being at an authentic Argentina restaurant i rightfully so ordered some. I ordered the chicken empanadas they were fried fresh and didn't have a grease taste to them. I wish that they made some with meat and cheese combined but the one we had were delightful. Only thing is the empanadas did not come with any sort of sauce. But our waiter did bring me out a side of salsa to enjoy with them and it really did the trick, the salsa was full of flavor and made fresh. Now the main course, The chicken entree is more than enough if you are coming in for a quick lunch. My date and I was actually able to share seeing that we had an appetizer as well. You get a leg quarter with rice, black beans and a few pieces of plantain. Now, I for one am not a fan of plantain. I don't care for the texture nor taste but these were literally the best plantains I've ever had. They were sweet and did not have that bitter taste like most plantains have. I have spread the word about this hidden gem to plenty of friends and I plan to come back for dinner to try drinks as well because there were so many oof options to choose from. And when service is great you want to keep coming back. More...

Huevos rancheros with avocado and bacon:  I got mine with no potatoes and extra beans (which I regretted after a bote of Jamie's potatoes).  The eggs were perfectly executed over easy, the corn tortillas were lightly toasted and soaked up my egg and bean goo flawlessly, and the bacon added the important crunch factor to the dish.We had to wait about 20 minutes about lunchtime on Saturday to be seated, and had two excellent coffee drinks in the coffee bar waiting area, making the time pass more briskly.  We will be back here soon and often, our new favorite brunch spot in town.
