What can I say about this resort other than it is an amazing place to be!! There is something for everyone. But wht made this place special to me personally was the breakfast crew from VUE. Lovely outdoor seating overlooking the golf course, OSCAR. CARLOS, AND MANUEL will take VERY good care of you. The friendliness, breakfast recommendations, and outstanding, fast service made me smile. If you go tell them Anasent you! With 8 pools and an adult infinity hot tub my trip could not have been more perfect. The bar on the other hand needs some work in terms of staff. The were disconnected from providing an experience. My son works at this beautiful Omni Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Ca. We had a wonderful time a couple of years ago , when my son treated me to a Mother's Day Retreat ! We had a wonderful time , beautiful clean rooms, beautiful flowers � and clean streets ! I have never seen a Resort so sparkling and clean ! The food was great ! Amazing resort! Spent a great week with the family and there was something for all of us. From great pools for all ages to golf, tennis and plenty if dinning options. It is centrally located were we could go anywhere from the Zoo to LA in fairly easy drives. Well done OMNI La Costa...we’ll be back! More...

Historic La Costa hotel in Carlsbad is now run by Omni. The "family suite" rooms (955/957) we stayed in last week could use a little more updating imo esp for the rates they are charging. They are really just connecting rooms. We had plenty of space for a family of four, but not a ton of privacy. The wifi was slow but we just used the free version. If you're checking in to your office regularly you may want to upgrade (this may be due to mountainous area and proximity to coast affecting wifi because I noticed my Verizon photo data wasn't great either which is unusual). There was a small fridge in room which we appreciated & their store has milk, snacks, etc. Maybe a future upgrade could be adding a microwave. The part of the resort we loved was the grounds and amenities. We enjoyed tennis, pools, water slide, shops, spa - and just walking around the property is nice with the golf course, plaza, etc. There are stores and restaurants both on property and nearby. It's not on the beach but it is just a few minutes away by car (or hotel shuttle)! The purpose of our trip was pleasure - we picked this resort so my husband could play tennis & as a league player (4.5) he was happy with the quality of the pros here and we very much enjoyed the WTT Aviators match! Also I would add that we had really good service from attendants all around the resort. I would definitely stay here again, and hope Omni keeps improving the property because this could easily be a 5 star resort. Solid 4 as it is now based on where we stayed. More...
