Went around sixish with a party of four, no problem getting in. Smaller place with about 12 tables, but colorfully furnished. Some half booth tables but most were 4 person tables so you could put a few togather for a bigger party. Two large menu placards on the wall as you walk in. You order at the counter but they bring the food to your table. Beer and margaritas available. There is also a salsa bar with various salsas, all the ones we had were really good. My wife, daughter, and son-in-law all ordered differing 3 taco combinations, I got the percheron, which is basically a burrito and fixings inside. I had the carne asada one, but my wife got one of her tacos with the chicken they also use for their percherons. Both were very tasty, nicely spiced without being overpowering. The percheron was great, the carne asada was very tender. It came with two sides, cilantro rice and whole pinto beans. The cilantro rice is honestly the best I've ever had. Prices are reasonable, and as the place is in a shopping center there is plenty of parking. Definitely worth your time to vist this charming little spot. More...

I wish there was a “10 stars” option, because La Botana is way off the chart!! Best michelada in town! Up until La Botana, El Berraco had the best michelada (according to me) but La Botana has taken that cake and raised the bar to a new height! Delish!! The restaurant filled the craving for a Michelada to be paired with good Mexican food. The drinks were brought out quickly and the food followed closely behind. The torito chile appetizer was stuffed with cheese and shrimp and wrapped in bacon and the shrimp and asada burro was filled with rice, cheese and a pico de gallo. The salsa bar also delivered several types to add your preferred level of spice to your meal. This is a really great restaurant to come and relax in the afternoon... Have a margarita... Eat some chips and salsa. They have several salsa to taste so don't ve in. Great Pollo quesadilla with a wonderful salsa bar. The Pollo was perfectly cooked as well as the carne asada was charred just perfectly and the salsa was great on both of them. The salsa bar had several different kinds including a blazing hot Chile arbol. What a neat little place! This morning, I got the emailed blog by Tucson Foodie, that listed La Botana in its "9 of the Best Burritos in Tucson" article. There's a La Botana near me, at Grant/Craycroft, so I stopped in for lunch. I had the recommended Percheron Grilled Burrito, which was excellent.It's carne asada, queso blanco, tomato and avocado, in a grilled, flour tortilla. I loaded it up with pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa from the big salsa bar, and also enjoyed the excellent whole, pinto beans and rice that come with the plate. Everything was delicious. At $12, it's a little pricey for lunch, but you get a lot to eat, and it is an outstanding burrito.I'll be back - maybe for fish tacos and happy hour on their cute little patio. More...
