I remember over a year ago I filed my taxes through turbo tax and what seemed to be a simple file became rather complicated. My husband and I had our taxes done here this past year.  It was our first year being married and my first year owning a small business.  We wanted to have our taxes professionally done to make sure everything was correct.  When it was found out that there was a mistake in paying my business LLC fee he offered to pay the $121 in late fees I owed, in addition to refunding his service fee. I found KOALA after my 2014 and 2015 tax preparer (McDevitt & Pribyl) refused to meet with me or even return calls after I was contacted by the IRS and CA state with problems in my returns, which they completed. KOALA fixed the errors in my 2014 taxes getting me an additional $2.4k back and dealt with the IRS and state in correcting my 2015 returns. Alex was especially great to work with as he is a retired Army officer and understands the details of dealing with the military pay system. The warm welcome and service I received from Koala Financial was outstanding. I'm happy and grateful for Ben's assistance with my taxes. It was apparent that I didn't know as much as I thought I did. And will need to amend my 2014 taxes that I filed and was done with. Something like online tax filing won't tell you. Taxes only seemed to grow more and more complicated with each passing year that my husband was in the military. We normally just took care of things on TurboTax but last year the program said we owed quite a bit of money, which was then confirmed by a local accountant. The time came to file this year's taxes and TurboTax said we owed money again. That's when I received consultation and help from Alex Wymore. With his past military service experience he was able to help us correctly file for our situation, cleared up a lot of our confusion by explaining things thoroughly, and was even able to file amendments for the past couple years so we got some nice checks in the mail (on top of receiving returns for this year)!
