Mr. Nowak and his team are the most knowledgeable, consistent, honest service dog trainers I interviewed; I spent two years researching this complicated and unregulated industry. Service dogs, trained to task to accommodate for an individual's disability, are an investment in time, money, patience, and persistence. Mr. Nowak's evaluation process was thorough, detailed, and specific. His questions show how much education, training and experience he has identifying specific tasks to train a dog to work with a handler. Mr. Nowak's persistence and dedication to training dog and handler to the highest standard is above reproach. There is no easy, quick way to do this. Mr. Nowak makes clear that acquiring a service dog and learning how to work with it, means understanding that having a medical service dog can save your life. He explains from the initial consultation that having a trained medical service dog involves a lifestyle change for everyone who lives with that dog. The application process was exhaustive; this attention to detail reinforced to me that Mr. Nowak and his team are building a non profit, one client at a time, with integrity and dedication to the community they serve. Mr. Nowak has addressed every question, every concern, every challenge I have put to him. If you don't trust your service dog trainer, then you shouldn't be working with that individual. I am indebted to Mr. Nowak and his team, who support me every step of the way. I understand I am making one of the biggest investments in my life. Handling a service dog correctly is a matter of life or death, or I wouldn't "need" the accommodation. It's a terribly imperfect world populated by fallible humans and superior canines. The team at Kayla's Paws don't offer an easy solution, nor a quick one. They offer an opportunity for people with disabilities to dramatically change their ability to function in the world by learning how to train a service dog, with their assistance, to task and to standard. I'm a non paid, non attorney, non medical, non spokesperson. More...

There are many places that aren't unique as Kayla's Paws, and stating this shows that I have done the research needed to understand the service dog world and the scams out there. I am glad that this professional non-profit is out there helping people in every way possible. The dedication from the team within, especially Mr.David Nowak, who is amazing at answering questions and informing the person more then ever, shows how much experience he has doing this type of work. I give this non-profit a 5/5!!! More...

Response to Joy Lee's Review: First I have no A. Nelson on my staff, no any clients by that name. We do not make contact or spam anyone expect people that contact us first. The second sentence made no sense , it sounded like a third party wrote it. However, we do not contact anyone that has not contacted us first, we do not "spam" and we do not have a "A. Nelson" that works here. More...

Dave is a very compassionate and honest man. He does everything possible to get your service dog trained even if it means going out of his way. I had a great experience with training my SD Bella. I've learned so much from him that I don't think I would have learned any where else. I still use him as a resource when I have questions. More...
