To say that Katie did a fantastic job for us is an understatement. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous and are the result of not just expert photography, but also the time and care that she took building a rapport with our newborn son and two year old daughter. Katie understood that our daughter can be strong willed so she spent extra time talking with Cate about her big girl room, favorite toys, and even played with Cate's dolls. This made Cate feel like the star of the show, and therefore very happy to participate in the photo shoot. The love that Katie showed getting to know Cate truly shined through in her photography. Katie did our pictures this year and I couldn’t be more pleased. For a family of five, sometimes this can be a painful experience. Katie allowed the kids to be their goofy selves and encouraged them to create their own poses. They loved this time and enjoyed being part of the process. After working with Katie 3x, twice personally (family and puppy photos) and once professionally (headshots and office photos), our family is absolutely confident recommending her services.

She made our family feel at ease, never rushed or nervous, yet the photo shoot was accomplished in a timely and efficient manner. Before arriving, she made herself familiar with our yard, and suggested the most appropriate locations, in terms of lighting and background. She is also happy to travel to a local park, historic building, etc.

Katie has a special knack for capturing the posed photos to not look stiff, and snaps her camera at the perfect time for candids. And, if you have a furry family member, this is Katie's specialty and passion.
