large dining area inside and out, but GEEEEZ, it is crammed in the bar area. WAY too many chairs for such a small area. Great location on the plaza at Lake Anne. Immense patio seating. Inside is split between a large dining room on one side, and a bar area with a dozen TVs showing every sport imaginable. They have a small dance floor in the middle for DJ nights, which they also use for team trivia (Tuesday night) and kareoke (Wednesday nights). My favorite place in the DMV! Its everything you want in a place. They have a nice dining room where you get full amazing and quality service, a lounge which is so fun for football Sundays, and the BEST dive bar ever! Have visited Kalypso's many times. It's a great place for Greek-Italian food, and the pizza is the best in the area. My only issue is that the service suffers when the place gets busy, and the staff rarely smiles, but that's normal here.

we waited a long time to get our dinner served. observed a couple of other tables being served their dinner that came way after us. when we finally got ours the food wasn't even hot...lukewarm...had to send it back to be rewarmed... salads came after our dinner was served...I ordered a ceaser & was served a regular salad...sent that back...my friend ordered a house salad with ranch, came with greek dressing...Had to ask for silverware... terrible service...quality of food was great...not a good experience for my first time & probably my last. Excellent Time at the Greater Northern Virginia Comedy Festival. I performed at Kalypso's which is a beautiful atmosphere for fine dining at a sports bar. As a comedian I visit a lot of places and this one is by Lake Anne. Beautiful scenery and great lighting makes this no ordinary sports bar.
