Too expensive for the price for 5 “sessions.” I emailed to ask about training to keep your dog from running off if you are in your front yard. We have to keep him leashes always. She said the dog should always be in a secured area.” More...

So the moment I completed the online form and spoke with Shelby over the phone It was PLEASANT! The day that we had the interview with Angie to board and train our Sparkle it was AMAZING! Angie was able to show and example in the interview as well as explain why she did what she did and the reaction from Sparkle was priceless. We boarded our puppy for 14 days. Angie also notified us of the military discount which was another THUMBS up! Once we left that same day we were contacted by email by Angie and was notified that our trainer would be Toni. A day or so later we were then notified that Abby would be our trainer due to something came up for Toni. The contact between email and phone was GREAT! I picked up my Sparkle today and Abby was EXCITED and explained everything she has done with my puppy. Abby also explained to me that protection training would be something we should look into for our puppy later down the road and also mentioned Angel the CEO of company agreed as well. I also had the pleasure of meeting Angel for a brief moment and he even mentioned to keep her busy suggested protection training as well. I also received documents which was Awesome because after reading over it and instructing Sparkle what to do it WAS LIKE MAGIC!!! With that being said my money was well spent and we plan on coming back for FUTURE training classes no matter the cost due to the Sparkle loved it and we loved what she has become in 14 days! Mallorie always opened up at the end for any questions and always had strategic answers, even for the most stubborn dogs :) we will be going through the rest of the trainings there, as well! More...

Within the first 10 minutes, I could start to see the the effects of some rather simple techniques. Abby, our trainer, thoroughly explained the reasoning behind what she was teaching and the psychology of why it works. We also went through several scenarios in which she tends to jump to get practice with each.Overall, the money was very well spent, and we're very grateful for all of Abby's help! More...

K9U Obedience Class was just what I needed to get started learning what to do on my end of the leash. Of course, my little Schnauzer learned her part too! The instructor (Abby Holloway) was fabulous! She was encouraging but would correct where I needed to improve. When an illness caused us to miss a class, she took time before class to go over what we missed. The Abby was always willing to answer questions and demonstrate when I was unclear how to proceed. I want to add... K9U has a very nice facility to hold classes either indoors or out. Also, Emily in the front office is tremendously helpful as well. We already signed up for our next class. More...

LISTEN UP. Staff is great. Trainer TONI is OUTSTANDING. No complaints whatsoever about K9U. BUT BE ADVISED: Paying lots of money in taking your dog to a Trainer for THEM to train your dog 100% is a Folly. YOU take what they taught your dog and then YOU build on that training - for-ev-er. Like training a toddler - its a non-stop process as your dog gets older. You get the printed How-To materials, spray bottle and 'gotcha' poke-in-the-neck collar. You're shown how to continue what was started in the 3 week-long daily sessions (yes, I paid for 3 weeks). Sadly, my initial concern in my dog's behavior was not fixed, and she was kicked out of a doggie daycare the first visit back. Ugh. I'm disappointed, obviously, and a lot more broke than before the training. THE POSITIVE SIDE is I walk with my dog at my side, I do not worry about her tripping me when we walk daily. She does Sit and Down and Come, Heel, Leave it, Off beautifully. AND yes, I am following through on her training. This situation is my bad for not investigating more before taking the leap - somehow, I thought K9U could do magic and 'Voila! My dog is now trained'. In hindsight, that's silly - but perhaps the reader thought the same thing. Now YOU know. Do I recommend K9U? ABSOLUTELY. Just realize what is expected on YOUR training your dog after THEIR training. We just completed basic obedience with Kim as our instructor. I was amazed at how this process worked. Our English Mastiff, Sydney, was a crazy mess to say the least! ! She was a wild child that no one wanted to be around, nor would we let her! She would jump all over people climb on the furniture with them and basically embarrass us to no end. So we took her to class wondering if she could be trained. Only to find out, we needed to be trained! She has shocked both myself and my husband. We have had fantastic experiences at K9University. I love that my dog has the social experience of a group setting, but the trainers really tailor the guidance for each dog based on their personality & their responses. It’s very personalized.

The fees are very reasonable for the caliber of training & personal attention. Cassie was always available for 15 minute one on one “check ins” for additional support. We had access to some of their training areas on our own time & the trainers check in regularly by email to offer additional support.

Cassie was really great with us. She never judged or condemned me for being a crazy over protective dog Mom, but provided guidance that helped me to better communicate expectations to my dog.

I’ve always shared a strong bond with my dog and she was fairly well behaved. Using the skills we learned, however, I noticed we have a stronger bond & her confidence is much stronger, which has lessened her anxiety. She seems less hyper & while still a bit of a Velcro dog, she no longer cries or barks every single time I leave a room. We are both looking forward to continuing classes at K9U. I wish I’d made time to take her to class sooner.

We started with a year old catahoula that had so much energy. He jumped on everyone, refused to come when called, pulled constantly on the leash, and was very stubborn. He was running off constantly. He also became very aggressive towards other dogs making the dog park no longer an option to let out his energy. He was very hard to manage and I was very close to giving up & trying to find him a new home.
First we boarded him for 10 days and let them train him & we could tell a major difference (they recommend longer which is why he wasn’t completely trained after this). So we decided to do the obedience classes, they were more affordable for us, and I really can’t praise them enough for how great it was. Mallori was awesome and taught me and my husband so much. And we’ve only completed the basic obedience class, can not wait to move forward and watch our pup progress!! It’s amazing the difference it makes once you are taught how to effectively teach your dog. I’m SO happy we found them!! If you’re on the fence about bringing your dog here, do it. You won’t regret it!!

Q&As

Dogs are incredibly smart creatures, and we find it highly stimulating working with them every day. The fact that they react so positive to our methods is energizing.

There was a need in Oklahoma for solid no nonsense dog training. We find that our positive methods are still the best solution, as they are effective and protected by the US Patent office.

We succeed because we don't have a "one-size shoe" approach. Others use only a single approach, where our Patented method allows us to use any approach the dog positively responds to.

Services

This training is when you drop off your dog with our professional training staff and we train your dog for you returning him/her when the work is completed or mutually agreed.

This training is intended to be a one-on-one session with one of our professional trainers where we only work with your dog, and your family to ensure your dog's concerns are addressed.

This type of training is scheduled on a weekly basis where you and a group of other dogs and owners train together, under the guidance of one of our professional trainers.

This class is a LIVE ONLINE class where we use video tools to teach an interactive class that keeps you safe at home, while still learning how to train your pooch.
