The ambiance at Gracie’s is amazing. The rustic but elegant decor, spaciousness, and intimate dining experience make this a perfect venue for a special occasion. The food was delicious—be sure to have some of the house-made pasta, the gnocchi and rigatoni will call to you when you think of Gracie’s again. And, you couldn’t ask for nicer servers! More...

There were three of us and we all said that everything was excellent. The first and second courses were amazing. In our opinion the deserts were a slight step lower. We can't wait to return and try some different dishes. Also our wait person was the most knowledgeable about everything. I wish that we had gotten her name so that we might request her upon our return. More...

My husband and I wanted a fun wedding reception to follow our ceremony at the nearby Providence Athenaeum. We wanted a non-sit down dinner with lots of drinks and dancing and Gracie's--thanks to Kendal--delivered that and more.

First, about Kendal, the on-site event coordinator. She was an absolute dream to work with, especially since my husband and I live and work in NYC with somewhat difficult work schedules. While I grew up in RI and already loved Gracie's, she made the decision easier and we picked Gracie's the first weekend we started looking at venues.

Second, the experience. We wanted a fun reception for our mostly out-of-town (and even out-of-country) guests with great food and drinks that wouldn't stop flowing. They worked with us to have an awesome list of a mix of passed appetizers and other foods (and a gnocchi bar). My personal favorite was that, being from RI, the chef was able to make a "stuffie station."

I also have celiac disease and felt very comfortable with the staff and prep that I wouldn't get sick. They also handled a handful of other dietary needs with ease (again, shout out for that awesome "stuffie station" with gluten free ones for me).

I cannot stress enough how much I personally did not and do not care about linens and other decorating details. Gracie's handled that all and the venue just looked gorgeous.

We also had about 115 guests overall, which seems like a lot, but the main floor worked perfectly for the dance party wedding atmosphere we were going for.

Thank you again to to Kendal and the entire staff at Gracie's for such an amazing experience. I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing restaurant and can't wait to stop by next time we're in Providence.

We had a lovely birthday dinner for my wife, which included a hand-written birthday note to her from Gracie's (I had given them a head's up when making the reservation), table glitter, and complimentary toasting champagne. The meal was wonderful, exceeded only by the service we received from our waiter Marc, whose ability to be informative, friendly, and attentive is simply extraordinary. This was a very special dining experience. More...

Went to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they took several steps to make it a very special occasion for her - immediate acknowledgment by the host on arrival, hand written card with the table setting, complimentary bubbly pour to start the night, as well as a candle on her dessert. Expected maybe a couple of these but not all. I’m addition the wait staff was very professional and helpful in enhancing our dining experience and advising us on our wine and dinner choices - it’s clear they would make even a less special occasion a great experience. To top it all off the food was amazing - Through our three courses, every single dish was delicious. They also brought some bread and a few small bite “amuse-bouche” type items that we did not specifically order. Definitely plan to go again! More...

There is eating, then there's dining and then rarely, there is FINE DINING. Dining at GRACIES falls in the latter category. Superlatives are insufficient to describe a meal at Gracies. Of course, it starts with the food - it's inventive, impeccably prepared and meticulously served by a staff that understand the nuances of elevated service yet resists the stuffy formality that often accompanies it. But, ah, the devil's in the details and that's where Gracies rises to the extraordinary...if you're chilled by the air conditioning, they'll provide you with a luxurious pashmina wrap; if you're celebrating something, expect a call prior to arrival to learn about little "treats" they are prepared to provide you and our guests; when you retrieve your car from the valet, there'll be a packet of cookies on the console as a treat for your ride home. Little treasures of thoughtful caring that elevates Gracies to an experience not to be missed - if you're lucky, an experience to cherish in those special moments/events/celebrations that make you smile when remembered fondly. We can't wait for our next visit - hopefully soon. More...

Service was wonderful as always and the food was spectacular. We especially enjoyed the beet and burrata salad and the cod loin and duck. In the past when we have dined at Gracie's they had a prix fixe menu which was not the case this time around, so the evening was pricey but well worth it. I reserved a table for Friday November 22nd to celebrate my fiance's 27th birthday; his parents were also joining us, for a total party of 4. We all selected the Chef's 7 Course Tasting menu with wine pairings and found all the dishes incredibly divine. While my favorite was the autumnal inspired sea bass dish, my future family was enthralled by the seasonally appropriate wild boar pasta. The only fiasco we all mutually faced was that 4 of the 7 wine pairings were sweet and 2 of the 7 were smoky; we would have rather enjoyed a balanced variety of tannins, dryness, and body to our wines. The service was comprised of a plethora of skillsets- some front of staff certainly needed more training (we had a couple of incidents where the course was served and no one elaborated on the dish,) and others were exceptional. The experience and atmosphere were incredible and unforgettable, however as soon as we all arrived home we had terrible bathroom issues that left us out of commission. The cramping and frequent trips eventually subsided, but alas it left us a little weary.Ultimately, we highly recommend Gracie's for the experience, the delectable food, and courteous front of house staff. We do suggest that you bring Zantac or Pepcid for quality abdominal assurance, though! More...

Hmmm.. Where to start. My husband and I were married Sunday Nov 10, 2019. Our reception was at Gracie's restaurant and we had 83 guests attend. First off - Gracie's event coordinator, Kendal, was the reason wedding planning never became a burden. She honestly handled EVERYTHING. Any questions we had throughout the planning process were answered promptly. A few weeks before our event we changed a few pieces of our menu.. Kendal had it under control. I was worried that the space would feel very cramped but there was more than enough room. Guests were up on their feet dancing as soon as our dinner service ended. Now the restaurant staff - they went above and beyond. From the bartenders to the waitstaff, to the amazing chef and kitchen staff. When we arrived, we were able to steal a few minutes alone in the wine cellar where Kendal had glasses of champagne waiting for us. We did not join our cocktail hour so Kendal had a tray of hors d'oeuvres waiting for us at our table. Our guests raved about the food, drinks and service. No word of a lie, we were receiving calls all day Monday about the amazing food. I cannot recommend this venue enough. More...

We have been to Gracie’s a number of time and even had one of my company’s Christmas Parties there. This time the food was not up to par. The scallops were very small in comparison to our last experience. The espresso was so bitter, I had to send it back. I’m disappointed. More...

My wife and I love going to Gracie's once in while. This time unfortunately the food did not live up to our expectations based on past experiences. We will go back. We will not go for the degustation menu again unless we know what is coming. The scallop ceviche was nice. The pasta chestnut boar dish was very doughy not pleasant ... and I do love rustic. The cod dish I believe it was cod was superb. The venison tasted like duck did not make sense. The waiter told me it was New Zealand venison. I still think it was duck. Maybe venison seared in duck fat.The dessert usually an absolute delight at Gracie's was very bland. I did not enjoy the sorbet swimming in the watery "jus" at all.The wine pairing I enjoyed a lot. My wife had the alcohol free pairing which was nice. Gracie's is our choice when looking for the perfect meal. I don't mind the high cost. It's worth it. Not this time however.Klaus Kutter More...

The overall appearance and food were quite good, but it was so cold in the restaurant that it was hard to enjoy the night. My husband had a sweater on and was still cold. We asked a few times about turning the fans off or the temperature up and were dismissed other then saying they could bring us blankets...seriously?! I had to ask for my coat and eat dinner wearing my coat. Just not the night I had expected after reading multiple good reviews. Other diners around us also had coats around their shoulders to stay warm. Just weird! If it is below 30 degrees outside, a little heat inside is not a crazy thing to request. More...
