Julie did absolutely gorgeous work for our wedding. She is a true artist and her passion is so easy to see in her work. I was blown away by what she created for the wedding. I wasn’t very sure with what types of flowers I wanted going into wedding planning, but I gave her an aesthetic I desired, and she matched it to a T. She created wonderful centerpieces for the event and an AMAZING floral arch that was a centerpiece of the ceremony and picture opportunities during the reception. She even made a trip back to the venue to touch up the arch midway through the preparation. My bouquet and my maid of honor’s bouquet were exactly what I wanted. She gave me color and texture and so many different greens! Julie went above and beyond and is such a pleasure to work with. I needed a florist that really cared as I had a tragic incident occur to a friend that lost a daughter. Julie went out of her way to tell me what would be meaningful. Julie did not only the flowers for my wedding, but so much more!! She lined my aisle, provided a beautifully adorned alter, lined my reception tables, decorated cocktail tables, and even added her personal touches on my signage for the venue. She pulled the whole wedding theme together and made my venue truly spectacular. She is so easy to work with and does all set up, could not have been an easier experience as the bride. Julie made our wedding so gorgeous - from the backdrop arch to the bouquets to the head table. She does this awesome thing where you can go with your mom/aunts/bridal party/grandmas to arrange your florals a few nights before the wedding so you can SEE what you're actually getting. This past weekend, I was traveling in from out of state visiting my Mother for Mother’s Day. I have learned that ordering flowers online or grocery store flowers are not the same thing as what you get when buying from an actual florist. I found this with a local florist in my area and was very happy to find Julie’s Flowers of Geist so close to my destination. Julie is an artist. If you have only used grocery stores or online flower delivery services, you are really missing out. Using a local florist you get the freshest flowers, the most personalized and beautiful arrangements - in all, for what you get it is so much of a better value!Julie is wonderful, and so are her flowers. I was able to order over the phone a few days in advance and due to my travels, was unsure when I would be arriving. Julie was extremely accommodating, available outside of normal business hours and even secured the flowers for me so in my car so that they would make it safely to our destination. The flowers Julie did for our daughter’s wedding were beautiful! What she created was exactly what we had visualized and she was such a pleasure to work with! I met Julie when I was working as a fellow vendor in a booth near hers at a wedding expo. She immediately struck me as such a lovely and interesting person. She told me about her assisted DIY flower parties that she offered out of her studio in Geist. I was getting married in just a couple of months, and flowers were the last piece I needed to figure out. I knew that I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on flowers, and I already had a vision for what I wanted but neither the flowers nor the knowledge to do it all on my own. So my ears perked right up. I reached out to her about a week later, and we talked it through and set things up. We discussed what I wanted to make (bouquets and boutonnieres with paper airplanes on floral wire incorporated into them) and the price point I wanted to stay within. We scheduled for me to come out to her studio the evening before my rehearsal dinner. I brought with me my made of honor, my craftiest bridesmaid, my pre-made paper airplanes on floral wire, ribbon for wrapping around the bases of the arrangements, pearled push pins to hold the ribbon in place, some cheeses and a couple of bottles of wine to share. We ended up having the BEST time!! Julie supplied all the flowers and greenery we needed and showed us how to arrange the flowers and tie them together. She also helped make them with us and, at our invitation, shared in our wine and cheese with us. She was such an interesting person with so many amazing stories to share! And she opened up her studio space to us (which felt like such a peaceful, magical oasis), lent us her vision and expertise, and created a lovely, unforgettable evening of crafting and bonding for us. She also went above and beyond and used my leftover flowers to create 2 beautiful bouquets for me that we put on either end of the aisle during the ceremony. Julie was truly incredible, and commissioning her to host an assisted DIY flower party for me was one of my favorite wedding experiences by far! My 2 bridesmaids and I will never forget that evening. I had never heard of an assisted DIY floral concept, but it really could not have been more perfect for my needs. Oh my, what fun we had making flowers for my grandsons wedding! Julie is a very talented florist and very patient with beginners! We made centerpieces for 25 tables that looked absolutely beautiful at the reception We also made all the corsages and boutonnières that turned out great! The girls each made their own bouquets that were gorgeous! and they had so much fun doing them. My new granddaughters bouquet was one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen! It was a winter wedding and Julie kept that in mind with all the designs! We had wine and snack and even ordered in pizza. Julie is the sweetest! She let me choose my budget and created masterpieces that fit within my budget, instead of telling me how I needed to pay. I gave her a general feel of what I wanted and gave her the freedom just to wow me. And wow me, she did! All of my florals were spectacular. She even made a little baby bouquet for my daughter to feel special. I forgot to mention that I wanted some greenery sprays on my signs until she showed up on the day of my wedding, and she went out of her way to get something on the signs for me, even though I hadn't told her in advance. She also allows for a little get together for the bride and bridesmaids or mothers/aunts/MIL or whoever you want, to come to her gallery and put the flowers together as a group. This was a great way to spend some relaxing time together a few days before the wedding and allowed my mom and MIL to feel included and helpful. I will never be able to recommend Julie enough or thank her enough! Every step of the planning process with Julie was so easy. I personally knew very little about flowers, but I just knew I wanted them and I wanted them to be beautiful. Julie was able to see my vision and bring the most beautiful flowers together. My entire bridal party, both my mother and now mother-in-law, and even my husband loved the DIY party, and we certainly would have paid to go back to do it all again. She also made the day-of SO EASY. Everything from boutonnieres, bouquets, corsages, our chuppah, was taken care of without me even needing to think about it. Really special experience preparing bouquets for my friend's wedding at Julie's studio.
