We had water and sewer pipe leaks near and partially under a couple the concrete steps that went from our front door to the sidewalk. We decided now was the time to just rip them all out and replace, as they were cracked, unlevel, and even dangerously steep in one area. I called and spoke with John to explain our situation, and he came out the next day to give us a quote. We needed them to demo and remove all existing steps, and then return at a later date, a date which depended on our plumber's schedule, city inspection, and weather conditions. We hired John to handle the job and he assured us they would work around the plumbing issues. He was extremely pleasant to work with and was very communicative throughout the process. He came out within a day or two and had the steps totally removed. He and his crew were friendly, careful, thorough, and pretty quick.  We had to wait on rain and plumber to get the pipe fixed, but John was willing to work with us in when they'd return to lay the concrete for new steps. Once the pipes were repaired, we had to also get a inspection. John came out and assessed the area and said they could lay new steps without covering the pipes for inspector. So they came on the next day that wasn't raining and laid new steps. They did a great job on the design and quality. We love the new steps! There were a few fine cracks the next day, however apparently that is normal with new concrete. Our only complaint would be that after they finished the new steps, we asked that they leave the repaired pipes exposed for the inspection, however the hole was filled with semi-loose dirt. We were unable to dig out due to not wanting to damage the wet cement. So the plumber ended up having to dig it back out the next day.  Overall, we were pleased with the job. John was great to work with, the timing and quality were great. Price seemed about average.  We would definitely recommend JR&R Concrete to others! More...

JR & R Concrete and Asphalt resonates integrity and quality of work, not to mention that no job is too big or too small for their crew. Just a couple of weeks ago I was gathering info to request estimates for a small 14' x 13' concrete patio extension and stumbled across JR & R's web presence. My first thought was that the company must be good per their high rating and number of ratings. After a quick peruse of a few other sites to read more reviews on JR & R, I called and talked to John. He met me within 2 hours and provided an on-the-spot quote and agreed to do the job a few days later. His team arrived on time and worked efficiently until they were finished. The only issue was heavy rain started before the concrete set, which washed away the top layer of concrete. I placed a call to John that day and he returned the next day to assess the situation. After a short discussion, John agreed to return the next weekend to tear out the concrete and redo the job. Just like the first time, John and his crew were on time and work efficiently to complete the job. John is a trustworthy business professional who stands by his word and the work that his team produces. I highly recommend JR & R Concrete and Asphalt, and I would use them again for future projects. I highly recommend JR&R! They did a wonderful job on our new patio. We had our side door moved to the back of the house which left about an 8 inch drop off into dirt. Needless to say with dogs, that just wouldnt work. I called John and he was very kind. The other companies I had give me a quote said that I would need to build a wooden ramp the drop off would be about 4 inches. Not with John! I explained that my brother was in a wheelchair and with my mother getting older, I prefer to have wheelchair accessibility just in case anything happened. He said it was no problem. He could taper from the bottom of the doorframe out to make a mini ramp with the concrete. His price was reasonable, so he was hired. They showed up early, texted us the progress as they went, and we had a new, beautiful patio after 24 hours! More...

He gave us a bid on redoing the extension and a new sidewalk from my back porch to the driveway. Two days later both were done. John and his crew were wonderful to work with and did a great job.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone doing concrete work. More...

4-5-18...We had John Ennis and his crew out again this week to do a large asphalt project at our house. They did a great job just as they did last week on our concrete walkway. He told us what he was going to do, and the order in which it would get done. John is a man of his word. The project went off without a glitch. I will call John again on any concrete or asphalt projects we have in the future. Great job guys! 3/30/18...We just had our front walkway concreted by John and his crew. When he came out to give us our bid we knew within just a few minutes of talking with him that we wanted him as our contractor. He is genuine and honest. His prices are fair. He explained what he was going to do and he came out and did it without a hitch. He was timely and did a nice job cleaning up all debris. I would highly recommend JR & R Concrete and Asphalt for your concrete and asphalt project. As a matter of fact, we are using him for a large asphalt project at our house next week. More...
