My family and I have been going to John's Best for over 30 years and tonight I was reminded why. Tonight I ordered from them via Uber Eats and through no fault of John's Best, my Uber driver only delivered a very small portion of our order. Frustrated, scrambling to figure out an alternative for dinner and unable to get a timely response from Uber we called John's Best. Apparently my driver couldn't be bothered to wait for our order to be ready so had left without it and it was still at the restaurant! Given it was 100% on Uber Eats to make it right I didn't think there was much John's Best could do to help, but asked if there was anyway they might be able to deliver it. I was surprised and extremely grateful when they agreed! All they asked was that we simply tip the delivery driver - which we would have done anyway as we were truly appreciative to him and everyone at John's Best who went above and beyond to help us out tonight. I was really impressed with their level of customer service and will absolutely be ordering from them directly in the future. Oh and the food is really good lol! Ordered GF pizza. It was not made by them, its the basic GF you buy from the frozen section in a market. Obviously, if you have celiac this is not a good idea as there is flour everywhere. This is one of the most reliable pizza go-to's in the area. They've been around for a long time, moves locations a few times too, but the end product hasn't changed, it's excellent. I had Johns Best this weekend at a catered event. First I would like to say that the food arrived on time with clear care. The employee (Lydia) was very kind to all the guests. The food at the event included chicken Park, stuffed shells, chicken scarpariello, and meatballs. Each entree was genuinely delicious and made properly. It was amazing to me that this food was made so well, delivered, catered, and served while still tasting 10/10 fantastic. I personally loved the chicken Parm and could say it's possibly one of the best I've ever had. I've had food from here many times and it has always been great. I have had many dishes from this restaurant which is hosted by owner Joe & his son Joey. Everything I have had there is top shelf! ! Delicious & huge portions. Tonight I was in the mood for linguini with red clam sauce. I picked it up & brought it home. After the first forkfull, it was just sooo delicious, I grabbed my cell & immediately had to call Joe to tell him how fantastic this dish is. Loaded with fresh clams in a great sauce. I was in Heaven. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant to everyone that appreciates the finer Italian foods. Bravo to Joe & his major league staff. Can't wait for my next meal from John's. I made a mistake with my order and they were so Great and courteous to fix it! Not only did we get my original order but they threw in the extra sandwich too! The "Mommas Special " is our favorite ( amazing chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and broccoli rabe on their homemade bread) totally yummy! I'm surprised I never tried this place sooner. We ordered delivery and I was pretty happy with it. I got a personal (12 inch) pizza with mushrooms & garlic. It was vaguely New York style, everything about it was pretty good. I also got garlic bread, which was fine but not great. That said, it was gigantic, it was a large loaf of bread and like $4. I prefer quality, but I suppose quantity is good (and it wasn't THAT bad, I still ate all of it). Not my favorite place in the area but definitely a place to keep in mind. More...

Best calzone in Norwalk! The "small" is diagonally the size of a small pizza box (so it will fill up one person very well), and delicious! I've also had their pizza, wings, salads (Saugatuck salad is my favorite), pasta and appetizer sampler; they haven't "missed" on one item! My fiancé and I were shopping around the area, waiting for the next showing at the movie theater, and decided to try this place for pizza. I checked in, and got a free app of garlic knots. Those were good, but they must've blown up in the oven, or weren't actually knotted, because they were just blobs of dough, and didn't have much garlic/oil on them (should've taken a picture, whoops). The pizza however, was amazing! By far the most toppings that I've had on a pizza in Norwalk, and the best flavor. The crust was thick enough to support the loaded slice, but not too thick where it was too dough-y. The menu also offers non-conventional toppings like pesto and ranch/bbq chicken, so there's a lot of options! They were also prompt with their service, despite it being dinner hour. Stopped in for a few slices of pizza with my young daughters today, really on a whim as we were running errands hungry and know very little about Norwalk. I've been to countless strip mall pizzerias and this could be the cleanest ever. Staff was friendly, especially the younger waiter. The food: we only had pizza but I can't get over how good it was. They do a thicker crust, not too soft not too crispy, lots of cheese that seemed like good quality.....fresh tomato sauce. We really liked it. I'm from the Jersey Shore and am picky about my pizza. This was great, and their style of pizza is unique. Didn't taste like anything was being dumped out of a can here. Value: my total was a lot less than I would've expected for the large sizes of the slices. Only one con: unless you drink soda there aren't many beverage choices. My kids don't drink soda and can't have iced tea (caffeine) so water was the only option. Usually when we go for pizza they look forward to lemonade or Apple juice as a treat. Also, no highchairs in sight, but I also didn't ask, I just cornered my toddler in a booth. Whatever they had playing on the TV was a little odd, soap opera or something similar maybe not totally appropriate for kids. I'm giving 4 stars but it's a solid 4.5...other than the poor beverage selection I think they care about what they're doing here, it shows. More...

I recently ordered takeout from John's Best. The order arrived with a minor issue so I called the restaurant to complain. The guy who answered the phone promptly refunded me my money and apologized for the inconvenience and assured me that the mistake would be fixed promptly and delivered to me . Next thing I know, the owner of the restaurant arrived at my door to deliver the order and personally apologize for the issue.
