I was so impressed with Jim Boyd's Flooring. My salesman, Tom, was efficient and knowledgeable without being pushy. My floor came in on time and was installed in the time frame that he told me at sales. The installers were also knowledgeable and experienced, and very neat and clean. He even offered a suggestion to use white molding to match my baseboard instead of the oak color that was sent. When the white molding wasn't installed in a timely fashion, Tom interceded with the service department and got the job finished, and he called several times to make sure that that I was satisfied. The TV ad promoting 50% off remnants interested me enough to visit Jim Boyd's facility looking for a new area rug to replace a much worn older one for our second bedroom. The salesman, Bill, was excellent and after explaining the remnant options to me, left me to wonder through the large array of rugs. The decision was easy (I found a great remnant!) and when I was ready, he accommodated my need to have the rug cut down and rebound. Although it took about two weeks to get the rug delivered, it was done on a Saturday morning and on time within the two hour window I was given. More...

A great professional experience from design to installation of Armstrong Kitchen tile and ceramic backsplash tile. Our salesman, Larry, worked with us on the design, tile selection and onsite measurements for both flooring and backsplash for a complete kitchen remodel project. The installation crew removed the old flooring tiles and installed the Armstrong tile. During this process they leveled the floor so the tile was perfectly even with the hardwood flooring requiring no transition piece to step over. After new custom cabinets were installed the installation crew returned to install the backsplash. Each tile (12"x24") was custom cut and fit. Quality of the workmanship and materials was excellent. They were very flexible with a few changes to installation dates. Installation crew (2) arrived at the scheduled time, protected the hardwood floors and countertop with cloths while installing the flooring and backsplash. My new hardwood floor is a dream beyond anything I could have imagined. Worth every penny and more, and theirs was the best estimate I got! Everyone involved with the Jim Boyd operation was 100% committed to making my experience smooth. When major glitches with the foundation of my house threatened to interrupt the installation, I was very upset and anxious. Lauren stepped in and managed a solution for me that was cost-effective and fast. Another problem came up -- also not their fault -- that meant the installation crew had to be switched mid-job. But both crews were faultlessly polite, careful, and beyond competent, so the transition was totally painless and the job was still finished on time. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I worked with Jeanine of Turner Design Firm on several commercial projects this year as well as my personal residence which is located in an historic building in downtown Baltimore. I was impressed with how quickly Jeanine could size up a room and see the potential in the most challenging design situations. Jeanine created an imaginative solution for our design . We wanted a contemporary / Asian theme in a large room with very high ceilings . Artistically She delivered. The room is breathtaking . Her design is Architectural Digest worthy .
Even my adult kids ( who generally hate our taste ) commented , the design is what one would expect to find in a award winning 5 star hotel lobby .
My only criticism is that she significantly underestimated her personal time needed- not a big deal as the project ( construction, furnishings and art ) came in on budget More...

Jeanine is currently helping us with the interior and some exterior design of our 7000 sf contemporary house. She is a master of color and texture, a great listener, very resourceful and flexible. Jeanine Turner is completing a renovation of my condo. She did the original design about seven years ago, and due to water damage it needed to be redone. I didn’t believe Jeanine could outdo herself, but she did. The job is incredible. It is so easy to develop a great relationship with Jeanine, and to work smoothly. Jim Boyd's flooring did a great job with my floor. I recently moved into my house and I had the hardest time marching the flooring that the previous owner had put down. Luckily Jim Boyd's had the exact product. Harvey, their sales rep came out to my place and took all the measurements. He even came up with a solution to make sure that all the flooring was continuous when it wasn't that way previously. He even went the extra mile to meet me at the store when I was available, on a Sunday morning before they were even open to get the order going.  He quoted 3-4 weeks for the product arrival and it was ready in 3-4 weeks. The team that did the install was super courteous.  They always checked with me before any decisions were made. They also finished the job with expert craftsmanship a day early. We discovered Jeanine Turner on Houzz after parting ways with the original designer on our major condo remodel. Jeanine was very enthusiastic about our project and she jumped right in with her great vision. We had recently purchased this 5 bedroom condo and needed to move in within 6 months. Jeanine was very instrumental in orchestrating our project in a timely manner. Jeanine totally immersed herself in our project and started making important design decisions as soon as she came on board. I have never seen a designer do this before. She was always available by phone or email to us as well as the contractors. We replaced doors, did custom flooring and redesigned bathrooms and the kitchen. In addition she helped with the furniture purchases and placement. Jeanine was conscience of costs - telling us where we needed to splurge and where we could cut costs. Decided to try a flooring company that specializes in just that, flooring. After having bad luck with the sub contractors of Home Depot and Lowe's we thought we would give this company a try. We had decided to replace our carpeting in the screened in porch that was installed by a Lowe's sub contractor before we had moved in to our home last May. Even though it was "brand new" and no one had ever lived here with this carpeting down by the fall of 2015 it had buckled and was pulling away from the seams. From the initial contact with the salesperson at Jim Boyd's everything went better than with a big box store. We had our carpeting picked out with a half hour after the salesperson gave us several suggestions and paid attention to what we were looking for. Very attentive to our needs and desires. Within 1 month we had our carpet measured, ordered and installed! There were a few bumps with carpet removal (1st layer was glued down with "something" that made it hard to remove. Installer came to me with concerns, suggestions and he did a 5 star job of installing the carpet, paid attention to detail!We will consider using them again! More...

Jeanine is not just a "designer" she is a sounding board, friend and visionary!

We were overseas at the time of designing our new homeinterior, she was not flustered and understood my requirements without missing a beat. I gave her the brief, she fulfilled it and then some.. adding lovely touches to my children's play room and baby room, which are adorable.

Jeanine was given a tight time line for completion, this did not phase her.. she finished on time and I thank her for that.

Thank you Jeanine, I will be calling you if I ever buy another home.

Jeanine is working on a major kitchen remodel for me, that also involves some other areas of the house. She is the best designer/decorator I have ever worked with. Jeanine is creative, resourceful, reliable and cost-conscious. She is constantly offering up new ideas and ways to reduce costs when budgets become an issue. Jeanine really understands construction and provides a seamless interface with contractors, electricians and cabinet makers. She also is independent, i.e., not wedded to any particular suppliers or contractors although she has resources for all of these. I can't wait to have pictures of the final results posted on Houzz.
