The new patio is really attractive. Service was spotty. It took quite a while for the server to approach the table. She was friendly once she arrived and had the bartender make sangria for my guest. I had the chicken Florentine. The portion was enormous but the lemon sauce was way to salty. More...
Good food and service. Love the chicken vesuvio. You can ask for it with boneless breast. Pizza also very good. Nice cozy atmosphere.
Ate here for the first time yesterday, meatballs are delicious! Antipasto salad was so big and flavorful also! Lovely atmosphere, friendly server Anna was kind and efficient. Will go back for more!
I don't think I even ate here before. But I like giving out ratings so have four stars. The only reason it's not five is because there is no reason. I could have easily given out five but I wasn't feeling that nice and now the only reason I'm telling you this is so I can get up to 200 characters for the extra 5 bonus points added to my local guide score. Think I have enough? I don't know man, they don't provide us with a character counter. I'm assuming I'm almost there but I guess I'll keep talking just to make sure. Anyway, great food and great service. I don't know if they're pet friendly, so don't bring them just in case. Also if you're a packers fan, just don't come altogether. Nobody needs your negativity around our children. Ok, I think I should be at 200 now. Thanks for reading. More...
How many classic Chicago Italian restaurants have survived since 1941? It takes high quality, consistency, solid home cooking recipes and great portions. They are not trying to compete on innovation and new flavors or fusions, but if I had had Italian grandparents, Jim and Pete's would be reminding me of dinners at their house. More...
Nice place, food was good. Had Valentine's dinner here. Portions are big, I had Meatloaf parmesan, was ok, a little too much sauce. Had baked clams as appetizer. Gotta say, they were the best we ever had! Server was a little inexperienced with wine bottle service, but she made up for it by being attentive and nice. All in all a nice place and pleasant atmosphere. More...
Fantastic food! The seafood salad has the best octopus and calamari I've had anywhere in Chicago! Great, warm vibe. Large, yet cozy place. Good service. Okay wine -- wouldn't recommend it. But I've never been disappointed in any of the food! More...
Good food, fair price on beer and wine, can be loud if kids are there (understandable).
They've done a great job remodeling the place and the food has always been top notch if you're in the Oak Park area this is a must go place
Excellent food prepared authentically Italian style. Newly remodeled been @ this location for years added additional parking also Great service Weekend suggest reservation
Ran out of our wine. Stil, the food was amazing. Bruschetta was incredible
Huge Italian style menu selections. Busy place, very popular. Generous portions.
Great Italian food! Huge portions. Everything made fresh and reminds you of your time with your grandma - but better
The best Italian food I ever ate Jim & Pete you guys are the best if you brought this restaurant out in Homer Glen you make it killing good luck
One of our favorite places. Great apps, soups and salads. Entrees great but the sides are so good I am always full by time it comes.
Lemon chicken with roasted veggies. Hubby had vodka sauce on angel hair pasta. Outstanding. One of the best tasting Italian food that I have had. The kids liked the roasted vegetables. That means they were tasty. I will be back again. More...
Had my Mom's memorial lunch and food was great and service. They accommodated all 32 and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
1/2" off pizzas on Tuesdays! What Ana amazing deal for some AWESOME pizza! Highly recommended!
Great food and superb service. Can't wait for the dining area to be built. Drawings look great.
This is my go-to restaurant for treating out of town guests. It is consistently good, classic Italian fare. They have a perfect crispy pizza crust, and their pasta dishes do not disappoint. Service is fast and friendly. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that their cannoli is made with crushed peanuts instead of pistachios and they do not disclose this on their menu so beware if you have peanut allergies. Omg I always ordered from the other pizza place down the street from J&P. I ordered from J&P tonight the pizza was so good not oily nice and crisp and middle not soggy I recommend Jim and Pete's
Love this place! Never disappoints. Had friends in from FRANCE and brought them here. They Loved It too!!!!
Excellent Italian American restaurant in Elmwood Park. Have been going here a few times and enjoyed dining here. The meatballs and spinach sides are a phenomenon as well as their main entrees such as the traditional Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli. Portions are very big so I suggest if you come, come with a empty stomach if you are hungry. Also their deserts are authentic Italian next to the coffee. I always go with the Tiramisu and espresso. Fantastic Italian place! We order and dine in with them. Their pasta is great and you get a HUGE portion....like a whole pound of pasta... leftovers for days. Dimly lit at dinner so it can be quite romantic. More...
I absolutely love their pizza! They do also have very good entrees. One of my favorites is the lemon chicken. They are very family friendly. A good date night.
Locally owned place. the lunch menu is wonderful and has terrific prices. The dinner menu has a good variety and you can find something you like there. occasionally though the meal be up to their usual excellent standards. the wine list is extensive and you can find some very nice ones there. many people go and sit at the bar and enjoy talking to each other and watching sports .many many people come in to have the pizza or bring families for dinner.
