I've been going to the sound baths for a couple of months now and absolutely love how I feel after and the next day. The place has the highest positive energy I've felt in a long time. Just walking through the door feels like entering another world on a higher dimension where all judgement, negativity, stress, noise dissipates. Matiz provides me with a sense of community and spiritual family. I go regularly to their sound bowl healing sessions that are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I highly recommend Edilma. I've had several sessions with her. I also had one with both Edilma and her husband Alfonso. When I first saw Edilma in March 2018, I needed to use a cane, a waist support belt, and support for my left knee. I needed a wheel chair at the airport.  I'd been in a lot of pain and discomfort. I no longer need the cane or the other supports. I am walking almost normally. The scoliosis curves in my back have straightened! This is verified by the spine specialist I see. The pain and discomfort are very minimal. It is a miracle. I have many friends and family who witnessed this physical change. I'm writing a book about it with the before and after X-Rays. More...

Came here for the group sound bath experience. It was very peaceful and soothing. The group price point is also nice for those of us who want to try a new technique. My only suggestion would be to keep the two spots right near the door open for the folks that arrive late. Essentially for everyone who arrives on time direct them to the front of the room to fill those mats up first to limit disruption. Also, I would suggest on the website that it is mentioned that ones temples may be touched. It is a great and relaxing thing just surprising! It is just bad luck too if you happen to be next to someone who snores ;(peaceful place makes me want to look into other therapy's offered. More...

I have had an instructive bowel due to hardened fecal material for the past four days with no bowel moment. I was recommended to Lidia Menghi from my dermatologist I was seeing today, after I told of my problem and severe discomfort. Lidia was AMAZING! So happy to have found this place! I came in for a first hydrocolon therapy and Lidia was beyond amazing. She made sure I was relaxed  and comfortable before we started the therapy session with some massage and breathing exercises and she talked me through the process as well. Just had a Matiz Magic Massage - one hour of bliss by Edilma. I have been suffering from various lower back, knees, hip issues for the last month. Edilma found all my knots and worked them out. I felt 100% for the first time in weeks.I loved that unlike most massage therapists Edilma worked quietly and did not chat other than to check on me.  She really concentrated on a wonderful, healing massage.The center is tucked away amongst medical and dental offices. It is beautifully decorated, clean and you feel calm as you enter.I already attend Deb Coates' restorative yoga class at Matiz's Sound Center in the next building.  Great stretching, very gentle yoga. When I started coming to Matiz around 8 months ago, I had been dealing with chronic illness/ immune dysfunction/ and deep emotional trauma. I was recommend by a friend to try the sound baths held on M-W nights by the sweetest most heartfelt people in Mission Viejo - Alfonso and Adilma. I remember one night I was talking to Adilma with my mother and she immediately sensed the pain that I was having in my stomach. From there on I felt encouraged to work with her and booked a healing session soon after. The sessions I've had with Adilma have been so therapeutic and heart opening, she truly knows exactly how to help unlock and release a lot of the emotional trauma that gets trapped in our bodies, keeping us stuck in repetitive cycles and blocking our physical healing. The woman's circles that are held at Matiz have also been a large part of my emotional/physical healing. They are lead by a beautiful woman named Jewels, who guides us into a space where we can share our internal struggles and truths in confidence and safety. Jewels always seems to know what to do/say to open our hearts and release our emotional pain. Lots of the advice I have received from these circles have brought me into my next phase of healing, and have also helped encourage me to meditate at home. As far as the sound baths, I've experienced them at other centers before, but the experiences/ visions/ healings that I've had from Matiz have been nothing less than divine. It seems as though before I started coming to Matiz that I had been lost, looking for answers to my healing, yet never finding them. As I continued coming to sound bath I became more receptive the gifts that were trying to be delivered to me, but that I was not seeing. The power of sound can be told through my journey on a parasite cleanse. During the cleanse I was going to sound bath weekly and would always get twitching and jumping around in my body while the bowls were being played, as well as a lot of emotional upset, as if the parasites were angry and wanted to escape my body. At the end of this cleanse I had tested for one last remaining parasite. I knew this parasite was the cause of a lot of my mental fogginess & anxiety, but it was deeply imbedded in my body. I went to sound bath on the full moon and experienced a vision of a black serpent like figure swimming around in the depths of my body. I then proceeded to "vacuum" up the serpent and the dark sludge that it was swimming around in. The next morning, I had a bowel moment and saw a 6 inch long parasite floating at the top of my stool. The following days after this experience, I meditated a lot at home and it was as though a veil had been lifted from my eyes. I felt clarity and peace like never before and now feel as though I have gained back control over my well-being and physical health. For myself, Matiz has become a place of solace, where opening your heart and being vulnerable is accepted and encouraged. Alfonso and Adilma have created a safe space for all who need healing, who need love, and who need support. I feel so grateful to be able to be connected with such a beautiful community who is helping people unlock their full potential. When I first came across Matiz Center, I thought it was just another wellness center where you can get a massage. This place and most importantly people changed my life for the better! I come on Monday nights for one of their amazing meditations with Edilma and Alfonso. Trust me at least once you need to experience at least one of the services that they provide at Matiz center. Five starts is simply not enough. The people at Matiz will bring you light, love and  complete relaxation. It is something I 100% RECOMMEND for everyone to experience. I have been to Matiz Wellness Center twice and I still can't put into words just how amazing their treatments are. I did a healing session with Edilma that feels as though I was put on a fast forward towards figuring out my life goals and focusing on the steps to make it happen. I was able to talk to her about things that many people may not comprehend in regards to the metaphysical realm and she made me feel comfortable and confident as I go through the changes in life.Before the glow could wear off from my session with her, I went in for an event they were hosting with Sound Shrine. That was such a grounding experience for me. I had a "Reconnective Healing" session with Karen yesterday.  I made an appointment at my friend's suggestion who had seen Karen a couple of years ago and despite my hesitation and skeptisicm, ended up having a life changing experience.  I didn't know what to expect and was somewhat skeptical at how effetive this technique would be.  In fact, I had NO IDEA what reconnective healing is, but Karen, my therapist, was extremely warm, welcoming and instantly made me feel at ease.  She patiently explained about the technique and what I could expect during the session.  I felt very comfortable and was ready to start my session.  I cannot put into words the healing powers of Karen.  She is a truly gifted and amazing human being and I ended up having one of the most profound and spiritual experiences of my life during this one hour session.  At the end of the session I felt light, happier and much more centered than I ever have before.  She did not try to sell me on any more therapies and she was very generous with her time explainign what she experienced during the session with me.  Her insights were extremely accurate and the messages I received made complete sense to me. There is no way she could have known any of the information she received during the session about my most personal experiences.  I will urge all my friends and family to go and experience for themselves the healing magic of Karen.  I hope others will have a similar experience and will find the session to be as helpful as I did.
