Jessica is a very talented, lovely, and sweet. She can speak Korean and English and makes you feel comfortable. She's very well known and many people I know have gotten their makeup done by her. She did my sister's makeup for her engagement photo shoot, which looked really gorgeous. I think my sister can do her own makeup pretty well, but there definitely is a difference when a professional does your makeup. Since she loved the outcome, she booked her for her wedding day makeup as well. She did the bride and groom's makeup and the whole bridal party. She did an AMAZING job and made my sister look and feel extra beautiful on her big day. What she charges for her makeup service is surprisingly affordable. It's okay if you have no idea what makeup style will suit you the best, because Jessica has got you covered! She knows what she's doing and she'll make you look flawless. This is a very delayed (and my first!) yelp review. I haven't written any reviews in the past but really want to acknowledge how great Jessica & Michelle (her hair partner) were and put my experience out there in case it helps any overthinking/indecisive bride (like I was) make their decision on a HMUA. I got married on 8/17/19 and my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, and I got our makeup and hair done by Jessica and Michelle. Prior to Jessica, I had gotten a trial with another very reputable HMU studio in Pasadena and was not happy with the experience. Jessica and Michelle on the other hand, were extremely professional and efficient, yet personable and kind, and made us all look beautiful. During my trial, Jessica went above and beyond and even called the neighboring spas to make facial/Korean scrub appointments for me. On my wedding day, I woke up with a weird rash on my face (from stress ) - as soon as we got to Jessica's studio and she saw my face, she jumped into action and worried over me like my own mom (who was obviously freaking out, haha) and hurried me over to the aesthetician next door to try to subdue the rash. We were delayed in getting started with our services due to this and although Jessica had other clients scheduled for later that morning, she did not make us feel rushed or stressed about the time. She was able to cover up any remnants of the rash (thankfully most of it had subsided by then), and made my skin and makeup look flawless. The rest of my party was also super happy with their hair & makeup - my mother in law has even gone back to get her haircut from Michelle since the wedding! Oh, there is also a nail station available at her studio by appointment only so this can really be a one stop shop! I unfortunately forgot the lady's name but her services were also amazing. I have never had gel nail polish last as long as it did - literally not a single chip for a month and lasted through our honeymoon! Wish I lived in LA so I could get my nails done here more often! I was looking for a makeup artist for my wedding next Spring and found Jessica through Yelp- I'm so glad I did! I decided to do the trial makeup for my wedding on the day I was scheduled to shoot my engagement photos. Jessica was prepared and ready to go once I arrived, and I immediately knew I was in very capable hands. She was warm, kind, and professional, and the makeup she did on me made me feel confident throughout the shoot and held up well outside on a cold and windy evening. I didn't give her any specific guidelines or requests other than that I wanted the makeup to look natural - and she did a great job finding a look that worked well with my skin tone. So I actually got bridal makeup trials from other places, but Jessica Lee is the best. I loved my makeup! Honestly, makeup is so important for a wedding, and I was worried, but Jessica Lee gives you a very beautiful yet natural look. What an organized & TIMELY studio! I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding & my friend who was the bride booked hair & makeup sessions for 4 bridesmaids & herself. The studio was so nice & made sure we started early enough so we would have time to trek it back to Moorpark from Downtown LA. This meant hair & makeup for the bridesmaids started at 7am! Yes.... it was early. But, everything lasted well until the end of the wedding!I really liked my makeup because it didn't feel packed or caked on. The makeup artist listened to me & made sure I was comfortable with everything. I don't wear foundation at all, so I was a little nervous about having pounds of it on my face. I didn't even have to worry because she put minimal foundation on my face. My eye makeup was perfect & she did half lashes on me, which were SO COMFORTABLE that I forgot I even had them on. Two different people did my hair, which I again thought was efficient. One person blow dried and curled, while the other would style. The bride was blown away by everyone's hair & makeup, but especially her own. My friend's makeup was FLAWLESS, but also very natural. Her updo was my favorite! My mom and I got our makeup and hair done for my brothers wedding . We did few trials before choosing this studio. Both exceeded our expectations. I prefer not to do face contour since no one ever has done it well, but I was more than satisfied with hers. She did it so well that I was tempted to buy contour products right away. Jessica is one of the most amazing makeup artists I have ever met! I made appointment with her for my hair and makeup and my husband's as well. I came here because everyone recommended her to do my wedding makeup, and I'm so glad I chose her. She did my makeup for the engagement photo shoot and I was so happy with the results. She's very talented in what she does and I was very satisfied with how my makeup turned out. The makeup lasted all day and even for our shoot out in the heat over 100 degrees. I got my HMU for both my engagement session and the wedding by Jessica Lee. I opted for natural look for both sessions and she delivered, covering up the flaws but enhancing the good parts without looking like I had caked on make-up. She also did my mom's make-up and light touch-up for groom, and both turned out great in that natural but beautiful way.One of my biggest worries was whether the make-up would last all day, and it did! It lasted through 6 hours of my engagement session in the rain, and from 9am to 12am at my wedding without any touch-up necessary for both. She takes great care and pride in her work, which is clearly visible by watching the way she works. I didn't know Jessica was listed in Yelp until recently. My review based on multiple visits. I was looking for permanent makeup eyebrow tattoo artist and got a referral from a trusting friend of mine around four years ago. I am fortunate to find Jessica. I have been recommending her to all of my friends because of multiple reasons. Jessica is a renown makeup artist among Koreans living in Southern California, and Korean celebrities. Since she is an expert in makeup, I was sure that she would do an excellent job of drawing a perfect eyebrow shape that I wanted. Jessica has long experience in permanent makeup, and that made me feel more comfortable. Few tips:1. Be aware of different skin type. I have a particular skin type where this permanent makeup eyebrow tattoo does not stay in well. My friend, Ashley's eyebrow, stayed entirely even after four years has passed where my eyebrow had to be redone after six months. My skin type makes this permanent makeup to disappear way too quickly. I guess you won't know until you try it. 2. Expect about two hours for the session. Jessica will sketch the shape before and during to make sure that I was satisfied with the brow shape. 3. There is a parking lot right in front. I recently visited her since one of my friends wanted me to take her. I like the new place better since parking is much more comfortable. Her new office is on the second floor. I'm satisfied that I got the permanent makeup. It makes my morning makeup much faster and easier. If anyone is looking for permanent makeup, I would recommend Jessica with confident. More...

My close friend has been going to Jessica for years to have her make up done for events and recommended her for my reception. I could not be happier with the recommendation! We just did a trial run last week and she made my skin glow! I wanted a subtle, natural look that made me still look like me and she delivered! Jessica is so talented and skilled at her craft. This is my first yelp review EVER! Just comes to show how much I love and respect Jessica's work, that I'd take time away from raising my 4 kids to write this review. Jessica first did my makeup 15 years ago for my wedding. Ever since then, I've been going to her for my makeup for every major event, family photo shoot, friend's weddings, casual night out, etc. I'd say she's done my make up on about 10 different occasions during those 15 years. I end up driving the distance and going to her time and time again because I feel and look so pretty and youthful after every visit to her studio. Throughout my four pregnancies and all the hormonal changes, she always manages to erase 10 years of exhaustion and hormonal acne off my face. Makeup looks flawless, so natural, and stays on from morning until night every single time. And depending on what I'm wearing, the event, and how I'm feeling that day, she changes the look of my make-up, so it's something new every time. She's very honest and pinpoints what works and doesn't work for the individual. That's why every person I've introduced to her so far, no matter how different they look, (my sister, mother, cousin, friends) all end up looking amazing under her care. I've used other makeup artist on two occasions that Jessica was out of town, and both times, the results were very mediocre. They didn't apply my make up with my features and flaws in mind: they did what was trendy, a one-applies-to-all make up. I've noticed that the younger make-up artist just don't have the extensive experience Jessica has. She's been responsible for the faces of so many in the 20 plus years she's been a makeup artist.What I also love love love about Jessica is her down to earth persona mixed with her professionalism. You'd never know that she's a highly coveted make up artist among Korean celebrities, K-pop stars, movie stars, models, etc because she's so down to earth. She's done the faces of so many very famous celebrities, which is evident in all the photos posted on the walls of her studio. And I think it's telling of Jessica's talents and character when the same celebrities/clients continue to use her every time. There's no one I'd recommend more highly than Jessica. I told her that she needs to continue working until my 3 daughters all get married because there's no one else I'd trust my daughters to than with her. The best part is when my children look at me after my visit to Jessica's studio and say "Mom, you look sooo pretty," along with the constant compliments I get from others all day. More...

Jessica & Joy did fantastic job on my rainy wedding day. They were prompt, came bright and early at 7AM! The team of 2 worked their magic on total of 12 people and I have to say, it takes a lot of professionalism to work on large group of women! I went to Jessica and Jungmin for my headshot makeup, and they are amazing!! They made me feel beautiful in my own skin, and gave me a very fun, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. I was nervous because I've never had a great makeup experience, as many makeup artists aren't great with Asian features. Jessica knew just what to do with me, including my very sparse eyebrows! The eyelashes she gave me were very natural looking, she gave me advice on different lip products for my different looks, and she even gave me skin care advice! There wasn't a single moment where I was doubtful about the direction she was going with my makeup, and she's so much fun to talk to!I didn't tell them this, but I have a small phobia of curling irons. I get very nervous about being burned. Without knowing this, the hair person, Jungmin, did something that put me completely at ease. When the curling iron was near my ears, she'd put her hand between my ear and the curling iron. Suddenly, I had nothing to worry about! Jungmin also did such a great job at adding volume to my hair, that when I had to straighten my hair between looks on my own, my hair still had volume!! My hair is usually quite flat, so this was very helpful to me.It was such a pleasure talking and working with these ladies, and they made me beautiful! This review is sooo long overdue because I've been going to Jessica for my makeup since I was 19 years old!!! That's already 22 years! !! Holy cow!!! As you can tell, only a satisfied client will last those many years with a makeup artist... I've tried so many different makeup artists but they all seem to disappoint me in one way or the other... Jessica Unnie has done our whole family's makeup too... I was looking for a place last minute and Jessica took me in even with short notice. Luckily, someone else had made an appointment that day that's why they were open. She said you need an appointment to avail services so call ahead of time. The price was so good and she works very quick! She is actually the sweetest and prettiest! Jessica is so sweet and amazinggg! She is the best makeup artist you can find in LA! I recommend her confidently with FIVE STARS to everyone who needs her service for their special occasions! I work in entertainment, and need to get makeup done professionally for meetings/jobs. I have been to other professionals in LA, but some of those make up artists left me looking caked-on with so much makeup and I was not feeling good about myself at the end of the session. Shockingly, some makeup artists working professionally in LA simply didn't know what to do with my features.I'm so glad and thankful that one of my friends referred me to Jessica because she's by far the best makeup artist I have met and worked with! Her makeup stays on for a long day and she uses quality products (Mac, Bobbi Brown, etc) with clean, sterile brushes! Most importantly, she knows how to BEST suit you and your needs with her magic. Depending what your make up is for (in person meetings vs photo/video shoots), she will adjust and change how she approaches your makeup. You can come, trust her and her work, and relax because she will do what will look best on you immediately upon your request quickly and beautifully. She also keeps up-to-date with newer, fresher looks. I am very happy with how the makeup turned out, and will definitely be returning more. She's also constantly working as a makeup artist both for celebrities as well as people like me --which is a clear proof that she knows what's she's doing and is great at it! Got my makeup and hair done for my cousin's wedding (as a guest, not part of the bridal party). It was cool walking inside Jessica's studio and seeing all the makeup and tools at her disposal. Received many compliments from family and other guests, a lot of them mentioned how pretty my makeup looked (even relatives from China who saw the photos). It was a fun and breezy process as Jessica worked on my face and her stylist (Yun from ssoniestyle) did my hair at the same time.
