What makes a great website?
Utility, clarity of function, and beautiful design. A great website does what you need it to do. Whether it's generate new business, display your work, or generate traffic and attract advertisers, if it WORKS, it's great.
A great website loads quickly, looks great, answers the customers' needs, and ranks well in search.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Who are your customers? What is your unique sales proposition? What questions might your customer be typing into Google that can lead them to you? Who is your competition? What websites to you like? What are your highest-margin areas of work you'd like to expand?
Describe your creative process.
I think about the objective and the means to achieve it. My ideas flow from solutions to problems.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Do you have a domain name? Hosting Account? I need the logins to your domain name provider and hosting account.
What do you love most about your job?
Watching my customers succeed ! My goal is to be of service. I love being able to make a living serving others, while keeping control of my schedule.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been a freelancer and independent contractor since the start of my career. Starting a business was incidental to handling the flow of freelance work that was coming in.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm tireless in the pursuit of solutions. I don't give up. You'll know everything out front. We flat-rate everything, submitting a proposal in advance of any work. Our only hourly billing is for screen-share tutorials.
