Jay was amazing! Very accommodating to our needs! He was flexible with pricing and eager to work with me to figure out the best equipment to bring to our event. Arrived on time and ready to go; Jay brought everything we needed. The music he chose was perfect and fit the vibe of our event really well. He even made announcements throughout the night about our raffle and various items for sale without being prompted, which we really appreciated! We will definitely be contacting him about future events. More...

Q&As

Guests love to dance to their own favorite tunes, no matter whether the DJ thinks it is good dancing music or not. I often encourage my guests to give me their song choices. With subscription to online catalogs, I am often able to play their choice songs.
Not everyone is a born dancer and my Video DJ setup allows me to play music videos - sometimes the original official music videos, while other times videos showing either amateurs dancing to the tune or expert choreographers teaching moves, sometimes even dance tutorials with step by step instructions.
A switch in pace helps the guests catch their breath and a few slow songs that most DJs seem to avoid are often just what is needed to change the mood and re-energize the crowd. I plan all types of songs.

People love popular songs, and unlike DJs who are focused on showing off their mixing skills using remixed versions, I tend to play the original versions of the songs that guests have listened to and are familiar with. Sometimes, I play music videos with Lyrics displayed on my Video DJ setup, which lets the guests sing along while dancing.
In parties and events, I plan music that is suitable for the event, playing soft popular music as people are gathering and conversing, and guest's choice generes during the dance floor.
I play music from many decades when there is a mixed age crowd, and can sometimes play remakes of popular old songs such as "fast car" that older and younger generation can both relate to.

What's not to love about a DJ job - you are there to play music and make your guests dance. I myself am not a good dancer, but love to play music that will make others dance. Ok, the lugging of heavy DJ equipment is not exactly fun, but it is all worth it when the setup is complete and my guests are enjoying the Video DJ, the Karaoke, they see themselves on big screen and are having fun time.

I have always loved music since an early age, and music equipment even more. I love the technology that goes in to the music mixers, controllers, and speakers. I started buying equipment for my own home use and started with hosting karaoke parties. Later started playing at events for friends and family and it was just a natural progression to doing it professionally.

While I have very powerful speakers, I tend to show my DJ skills, not the power of my speakers. So my music is loud enough, but not too loud to drown out conversations. Guests attend parties to socialize and talk to each other, and I stay aware of the mood of my guests, providing just enough music to keep them interested.

The impact of loud music on long term hearing is fact, and I always walk around with a decibel meter to make sure that the sound is never over the healthy limits.
