I used to come here all the time when I lived in Ithaca. The breakfast sandwiches are great - but the eggs are definitely microwaved. Aside from that, I usually get the Sunshine which has avocado and it's on a bagel. I love their bagels. They're a decent size (I hate super large bagels) so you can hold it in your hand. And they give plenty of avocado. The coffee is always good, and I love their little coffee station nearby. I also love the atmosphere and there's more than enough seating, so you can find a quiet space and use their wifi. More...

I love all kind of breakfast sausage. Especially from Pikery Farm. Their's the best! And they served salmon on the Booksales sales days. That's very nice.

At first I was positive that I was in Ithaca...then you folks convinced me I died and went straight to corn chowder heaven! ! The nice gentleman that assisted me at the counter helped to point me in the direction of the spoons, which was a key component to my chowder experience. A+ folks More...

The Ithaca bakery just gets better every year! I’ve always loved their coffee and baked goods and sandwiches. But now they also offer Kambucha and they have some local beers on tap.

The sandwiches and smoothies are good but the cake is either too dry or there’s too much frosting and the cheesecake is always kinda hard and weird...

Ordered a vegan coconut cake for my IC daughter's birthday with fingers crossed it was edible... It was apparently delicious! Â Not an easy feat for a vegan cake! Â All vegan and non-vegan friends were thrilled. Â Ithaca Bakery was a pleasure to work with, they delivered it to my daughter's work place when promised and all in all was a lovely experience! Â So glad the "vegan bakery" in the region didn't deliver on Tuesdays! More...

Stopped here the other night taking my daughter back to college. Not the first time I have been here, but the best. There was an amazing singer/songwriter performing in the background as we browsed and ordered. I had some Gypsy Chowder/Soup and it was amazing. I also had a beef on weck sandwich that was the best I've ever had, even though I ate it when I got home to Brockport 3 hours later. Better than Red Osier. I'll be back for sure, again and again. Ithaca Bakery is such a staple in Ithaca that it is hard to not stop by every now and again. I am a little disappointed about the fact that they have discontinued their decaf chai, as it was delicious and it was mainly the main reason I would stop there. If you have no problem with caffeine, however, their coffee is fantastic, as many of my friends can vouch for, and their pastries are Simply Delicious. There is usually a wait but fortunately I have not had any issues with people managing and following the instructions on the orders that I place. Their hot bar is also a good option for lunch when you don't want to wait for your sandwich to go through the line. More...

Great place to go and grab coffee. Â my choice is a cold brew. They have lots of milk/cream options. The food is always good. Not the cheapest but can be worth it depending on your wants/needs/food allergies. Also the bagels are always fresh and delicious. And the deserts are top notch. More...

I really looked forward to going to Ithaca Bakery for the first time. I was visiting Ithaca. This was on either 10/10/19, or 10/11, early evening. I wanted to eat dinner and have a glass of wine. I walked in and stood at the counter. There were three staff persons behind the counter and not one of them even acknowledged my presence. One, a man who was restocking the drink cooler on the far right side of the bar, made eye contact with me and still did not acknowledge me in any way. He then proceeded to wait on a man who had just walked up to the counter. I waited for nine minutes like that and then walked out. Im not even an impatient person and this staff behavior felt disrespectful to me.The baked goods looked incredible but if staff do not know enough to greet you and wait on you what good is great food? (I am 66 years old. Was this agism?)Years ago, I worked in the restaurant business as a server for over ten years. To treat customers as though they are not important enough to even acknowledge is very bad practice. Even if a server is busy, say hello with a smile and let customers know that you will wait on them as soon as possible. Is that too much to expect? I was seriously dissatisfied with my experience at Ithaca Bakery. More...

I visited here from Rochester this past weekend. Lovely bakery. LOVED the maple bacon scone. Huge and flavorful. Cupcake was super moist. Bacon horseradish cream cheese was the perfect topping for the cheddar bagels. My only "complaint" is the bagels were a little dry for my taste, but are still good. More...
