First and foremost, the user experience of the website has to be very intuitive. Mobile responsiveness is a must to make sure that users using the mobile devices to access your website are getting the best experience and also this helps in better ranking with Google. I am a big fan of keeping things simple on the User Interface so the website needs to engage people and not overwhelm visitors with information.
