Their events are fun, not only for the guests, but also for the event staff. They are easy to work with, and great at communicating exactly what the client expects. I know, well in advance, enough about the event so that I can plan my magic to flow easily into the evening’s activities. Heidi Hiller is a true field general. She is amazing at coordinating everything: the venue, the sets and decorations, the food and drinks, games, music, dancing contained characters and variety entertainers. She works with the best vendors, who know each other and work seamlessly together. She does a tremendous amount of work ahead of time so that the event itself goes like clockwork. People asked me how my mother and I were able be so relaxed and happy at my wedding reception. I told them-- because Heidi has it all under control. So I got to completely enjoy my fabulous reception instead of worrying. Which is great because unlike most brides who never get to eat any food, I did. And thank goodness, because from the apps to the desserts, the food was fabulous! (vegetarian and seafood) From the very beginning Heidi was sooo great about listening to the type of wedding I wanted, respectful of my budget, and wonderful about advice. The food, the ambiance, the music, the everything-- all could not have been better. She has tons of experience so was a pro at getting everything done but what I think made the biggest difference is that she genuinely cares. She puts love into it. I went for an 8 mile run the morning of my wedding and had brunch with friends-- because I knew Heidi from Innovative Party Planners had all the details worked out. And unlike most brides, I got to enjoy my dinner which was fabulous, because I knew Heidi was making sure everything was going smoothly.And to top it off-- she even brought some leftover soy candles (she hates waste) for free and had them lit on the tables and around the room so it all looked stunning as the sun set. She helped with every detail and was so caring during the event, most people thought she was a relative.There were a couple of potential snafus that could have happened (not her fault at all, it was something to do with the building) and she said, "don't worry, I got this." I hired Innovative Party Planners for both of my kids' Mitzvahs and couldn't have been more thrilled with how they both turned out. Heidi and all of her crew are absolute professionals and create amazing events. They will help you with as little or as much as you wish. She listens to what your vision is and makes it happen. She was even helpful for the parts that I wanted to DIY, giving me advice and then helping to pull it all together. She stepped in to coordinate with my other vendors when I was having a very hard time with one of them. For my daughter's event Heidi created a lounge theme on my limited budget. It turned out so beautiful that the pictures were featured in an article in the Baltimore Jewish Times about current Bar/Bat Mitzvah trends. Hiring a party planner is definitely an extra expense, but I found it beyond worth it to work with Innovative Party Planners. From hosting some of my out of town guests the day before to planning a Skyping event with my family in Europe ! The party itself she chose a perfect place for my guests! Heidi and her team at Innovative Party Planners were the only people that kept me sane during the planning of my twins' B'nai Mitzvah! Â IPP's complete professionalism, fast response time and honesty with the recommendations they provided were wonderful.IPP helped me with so many things -- including designing the event theme (Yin Yang/black and white), helping me pick out furniture/pillows for the kids' section, selecting gorgeous linens and chairs, and designing unique and innovative table centerpieces. Â Equally important, they coordinated delivery, set up and removal of everything at the synagogue and the party hotel so we could actually enjoy ourselves. Â The sign-in boards, table place cards and menu cards were beautiful. I can't recommend Heidi Hiller with IPP enough. She was extremely detail-oriented and made me think through issues I hadn't even considered well in advance of my wedding. She is also extremely responsive even at the last-minute. She coordinated with all of our vendors at the end of the planning process so we didn't have to worry about those minute details. Innovative Party Planners helped me plan and coordinate my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party. I had already booked all of my vendors but wanted an event planner to help pull my event together. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. My venue was fantastic but had never hosted a Bat Mitzvah party. The party was really catering to both adults and teens. Heidi's input regarding room layout and timeline was SO HELPFUL! She definitely thought of things that might had been missed had the event been treated like a wedding. She also coordinated with all of my vendors (who were located in multiple cities) to make sure everyone was on the same page. I was also looking for some ideas to give my party a little "something extra" and Heidi had plenty of them. Some items needed to be fabricated just for the event and they turned out BEAUTIFUL- which was the case with the all of the graphics they provided. We were able to rent multiple random items that I wanted for centerpieces which was great because 1) I didn't have to go find these things 2) I didn't have to pay a fortune for these things and 3) I now don't now have these things cluttering my house. IPP was there to do as much or as little as I needed (I'm very glad that I had them there the day of the event) and was a pleasure to work with. Thanks so much for making my party a success! More...

What do you love most about your job?
Being an event designer is very exciting and offers me the opportunity to create incredible enviornments for our clients to celebrate in. It is a fast paced, stressful, exciting and creative field and offers me the opportunity to make a difference in peoples lives. I love creating memorable life events that focus on the celebrants vision and goals and making their dreams come true.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been an aritst forever and had worked in the advertising and enviornmental design fields before turning the event planning and design. I was showing some of my original art at a show and during that show first approached to create unique centerpieces for a Bar Mitzvah. The experience was amazing and from there I started building more creations for events and never turned back. I grew up in a family business, so owning a business is second nature to me.
