Four of us were there on Christmas Day at 3:00 and it was crazy! Lots of people, wait staff buzzing around with food and drinks, people laughing and opening presents. The atmosphere was exciting. The food was interesting. My duck-filled ravioli was delicious as was the calamari. Two of my friends meat balls, which they enjoyed and my other friend had a shrimp and prawn dish which she did not--there was no juice or sauce and therefore there was little flavor. She thought the shrimp was canned. Dessert was gelatos and they were so so tasty. Last year I ate at Il Fornaio for Thanksgiving and it was also special. I love it there! More...

Lovely lunch had by myself, husband and dear friends celebrating a successful day. I had the salad with the rotisserie chicken that was just excellent, perfect seasoning and very tender chicken. The best Italian restaurant I've ever been ! The best waiter is elegant gentleman named Fernando ! The sweetest guy ! The most  accurate European portions of the meal that , I've ever seen . Food and atmosphere was great. Plus the server I think his name was Hector was on top. We really enjoyed our lunch there. The tables are set far from each other so you can communicate and enjoy the presence of your friends.

My new favorite lunch splurge. The gnocchi alla norcina/gnocchi with mushrooms, truffles, in a cream sauce is to die for. The gnocchi is a little different . Been coming here for years. This is definitely a go to place if you're in the mood for some really good Italian food. I love the open kitchen and high energy level of the place. The place is always buzzing with energy and always busy which means the food must be good right Well it is ! The food is extremely consistent and very fresh. All of the ingredients are top notch. I love to sit at the bar right in front of the pasta cooks and watch them work. It's great. I've been here so many times I've lost count. I've enjoyed birthdays , holidays and many other special occasions here. The management is excellent and definitely know how to run a proper restaurant ! The chefs is excellent as well. Il Fornaio is a longtime favorite, but I’m so disappointed that they’ve taken my favorite dish, capellacci di zucca (pumpkin ravioli) off the menu :(( I still miss their house-made cookies, especially the Garibaldis, but even though their name means “the baker”, they stopped baking their own a few years ago. The corporation who bought them out doesn’t seem to want to keep up the things I love best about it.However, I did have a great lunch at the Pasadena branch a few weeks ago! More...

It's a fun lunch scene in BH that has been around for a long time. Pastas are good. Salads are fine as well. Service outside was very slow but the waitstaff are sweet.

Last week once again I had dinner at Il Fornaio, as usual the place is exceptional delicious expect this time. I order the only steak in the menu that use to be very good and tender, this time it was salty, hard and the vinaigrette peppercorn sauce was pure vinagre, it was really bad. I was looking for a more casual Italian restaurant for a larger group of people, and Il Fornaio was suggested by a friend. Great suggestion! The pizzas are great! We got both the margarita and the fra diavalo which had yummy sausage and veggies. For an app, we shared the calamari which was crispy outside and soft inside. Really delicious!The pennoni a la vodka was great!!! (I asked for no bacon). Those who ordered it with the bacon also enjoyed it. Wow! Just wow! Came here for a friend's mini bachelorette party and it was soo tasty! Honestly, the best chicken I ever had! The service was great and the chef, Giuliano even came over to check on us and was soo sweet to make sure we were taken care of! Amazing food and service!! Lunch was deeeelicious, as always! The service was great too! The sole is my go to order...trust me and order yourself some delicious sole! I have been ordering this dish for a looong time. I'm really stuck on it! It comes with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes, but I usually sub the mashed potatoes for veggies. I can't come here and not order this fish dish...and their calamari! The calamari is excellente!!!! The sauce that comes with it is perfect, light, and with a little kick....very very good! This is a must get! Hubby got a trio of gnocchi that was delicious and filling! Three sauces, pesto, cream, and red....the Italian flag :-) lol  all three sauces were yummy! This is our anniversary tradition to come have lunch here. And the last few times we've had the pleasure of Rino taking care of us. Such a sweet man! Takes our order right away and brings the food out fresh and hot! Bellissimo !
