Came here for a work event. There is a saying, you get what you paid for, and il Corso is no exception. Food was outstanding, along with the service. Exemplary Italian cuisine deliciously prepared in the beautiful El PaseoArea of Palm Desert. We started with a hearty red wine and shared bruschetta and then branched out towards a variety of excellent steak, fish and pasta dishes - each of which was superb. We met old friends here last night and had a great time. Sat in the patio and stayed with a beautiful martini. Followed by laughs and ok maybe another round of drinks. Service was prompt and never rushed. Great people watching on El Paseo. Finally with all the laughs we noticed we were hungry so a perfect burrata salad showed up and then we ordered. Veal piccata was a standout but my pasta special was outstanding! I'd recommend to try the house specials and modify if you want to change an ingredient . I don't really love mushrooms and it was no issue to fix. All wine list was great and house wines worked well. Loved it here! More...

Italian Elegant Restaurant. Upscale eating. All servings made from scratch. Pricey but worth it on an occasional event. You may eat inside the Restaurant or outside at clean tables with spotless utensils. Highly recommend.

Not a better authentic Italian restaurant in the dessert. And talk about accommodating! When we first was handed the menu, I noticed 2 things: they did not have veal parm (but they did have veal ) and the menu fretted the chef does not substitute items on the menu. The reason I stopped going to mama Gina after 15 years was they were not accommodating. Well, I asked if they could bake me a veal chop parm, and with a smile the server said we will make you whatever you want! And let me tell you, best veal parm I've had in years. A friend of mine from NY and of Italian decent recommended this place and it delivered. The wait service was attentive. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. The cheese and the meatballs were heaven. I splurged and had the chocolate hazelnut torte and it was exquisite. I was a little shocked that this only had 4 stars. The ambiance was wonderful after we attempted to go to a 4.5 star little hole in the wall that was shut down and weird people stared us down. The food was amazing! I could not decide between two dishes and our server surprised me with a plate of both. It was such a delight to get to try both! The Busiate Buonfornello (pasta with capers, olives, and mushrooms) was my favorite. My husband said it was the best lasagna he has had...and we have had some amazing Italian dinners before.To top it off, the panna cotta was to die for! We have never tasted a custard so perfect.
