CHEF MARIO MARFIA AND
DEVELOPER JOHN WESSMAN
Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those cultural influences to El Paseo, partnering with developer John Wessman to create a truly unique fine dining experience.
Il Corso offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of authentic Italian dishes – fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizza and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Start your meal off with an Italian style martini and remember to save room for all of your favorite Italian desserts at the end.
We came to celebrate my birthday in Palm Dessert, first stop at Tiffany's husband blessed me with some blue boxes then salesman told us about this place great service & amazing food, service & drinks, we were told place was booked but you managed to find us a place for 2 thank you.. we had an amazing dinner.., Love your restaurant continue to serve the people.. please stop by this place you won't be disappointed More...
Not a better authentic Italian restaurant in the dessert. And talk about accommodating! When we first was handed the menu, I noticed 2 things: they did not have veal parm (but they did have veal ) and the menu fretted the chef does not substitute items on the menu. The reason I stopped going to mama Gina after 15 years was they were not accommodating. Well, I asked if they could bake me a veal chop parm, and with a smile the server said we will make you whatever you want! And let me tell you, best veal parm I've had in years. Pasta was perfect and desserts to die for. Be sure to go here for the best italian meal in the dessert! More...
Lovely dinner. Great food. Would go over and over! #yumbo
Love everything, great food, and service.
Good food, lovely atmosphere.

A quality restaurant that offers Mediterranean fare that is beautifully prepared with a focus on fresh. The service is excellent, the interiors are handsome and the location is ideal. This restaurant and bar is a pleasure to dine at and has an excellent and well balance wine list. On El Paseo with indoor and outdoor seating with only paper straws and additional parking in back of building. More...
Well worth the time southern Italian food very very well prepared the calamari picatta was the very first time and the absolute best calamari dish I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying my hats off to the chef that profiled this dish!!!
Had a wonderful time the food was good and the service was excellent. All of the staff was very friendly.
Wow!!!! Absolutely the finest that you can expect.Service was impeccable, food was amazing.Highly recommend this place . Price $$$$. Worth every penny.
Delicious food, friendly servers, beautiful setting. Enjoyed the small plates from the bar menu. Mini Osso Bucco, great value and tasty! Loved the cheese tray and meatballs. Right on Paseo. More...
The best food in the valley and best happy hour in palm desert......all day so you can be happy all day...
A friend of mine from NY and of Italian decent recommended this place and it delivered. The wait service was attentive. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. The cheese and the meatballs were heaven. I splurged and had the chocolate hazelnut torte and it was exquisite. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu. More...
I was a little shocked that this only had 4 stars. The ambiance was wonderful after we attempted to go to a 4.5 star little hole in the wall that was shut down and weird people stared us down. The food was amazing! I could not decide between two dishes and our server surprised me with a plate of both. It was such a delight to get to try both! The Busiate Buonfornello (pasta with capers, olives, and mushrooms) was my favorite. My husband said it was the best lasagna he has had...and we have had some amazing Italian dinners before. To top it off, the panna cotta was to die for! We have never tasted a custard so perfect. It was a great evening for our anniversary/baby moon trip! Highly recommend! More...

Great Italian restaurant with an amazing Wine list.
Good experience, food was tasty and the service was good.
Always consistent great food and service
This is the real thing!
Service was excellent. Food was average
Delicious ricotta & spinach ravioli. Excellent service.
My first time. Will not be the last. Excellent food from professional wait staff.
Lovely place! We showed up with two young children and they were completely doted on! Crayons and paper appeared, paper airplanes were made, it was a wonderful experience on what could have been a stressful evening. Food was very good. Loved the heirloom tomatoes, so so good!! Honestly everything was great and they were very sensitive to the allergy within our group! More...
If you want good Italian food in the desert, this is a must go. You will definitely pay for it but it is worth it 100%, the octopus salad is probably one of my favorite items. Talk to Anthony, or Chris about a great wine selection, or have Eduardo or Chelsey make a delicious cocktail while sitting at their gorgeous bar. I will back for sure. More...
Another great meal at il Corso Palm Desert. Service is excellent, and they brought my fave, Trophie with pesto. Best restaurant in the desert, hands down.
You want the best Italian meal in the desert; food, service ambience. They have it all. We come for their magnificent and very reasonably priced lunch. My wife and I come here as often as we can. More...
I love their delicious lamb chops. Always a favorite spot when visiting the desert. A lovely restaurant to go to on a date or with family.
Looking for a local place for Happy Hour on my birthday, we stopped in at Il Corso, a place we had watched being built. Friendly staff, artful decor very inviting. The best part was definitely the Mini Osso Buco and the Appletini. And, since my husband had tipped off our waiter, I received a beautiful plate of hand-made ice cream with fresh berries and Happy Birthday written in chocolate. We will definitely be back! More...
The food was amazing very good but the quantity of the food is a little low and it's a bit pricy for barely any food but if you just want good food then this is the place.
Ottimo ristorante italiano a PD...location fantastica, cibo davvero “made in Italy”...
Walked in on mother's day with no reservations like an idiot, told there were no seats but the bar was available, perfect since my girlfriend drinks like a fish! I am fully aware that I wasnt going to get a booth or table since I was dumb and didnt make a reservation which I reccomend. But anywho, very nice little bar, good service. Bartender made a great suggestion and my lady loved it. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Gnocchi is fresh and perfectly cooked. Pizza was light and not overly greasy. Atmosphere is very modern and very cool. Great place to TREAT-YO-SELF More...

Great happy hour
Great service and great food.
We were invited by friends for dinner to Il Corso's, a restaurant we hadn't been to before. The atmosphere was so inviting, everyone having fun, lots of activity with servers moving quickly about delivering delicious looking food to diners. I had the Dover Sole prepared in an excellent piccata sauce filleted tableside. Drinks were delicious - an excellent wine list available too. Absolutely loved this place and will be sure to visit again the next time we're in the desert!! More...

This is an exquisite restaurant full of wonderful food and very nice staff. My husband and I came here with his grandparents and the staff was very helpful with my husband's grandfather who is in a wheel chair. They went out of their way to help us get him inside. The restaurant is very chic and modern, it has a full bar, and towards the back is a pizza bar with a wood burning stove. The menu has a lot of options, we ordered the grilled calamari, a beet salad, that I sent back only because I didn't like the taste of the dressing, and the waiter was very nice about it and brought me a different salad. I also ordered the Mediterranean Sea bass (also known as a Branzino) but I also sent that back. I thought it would be a bit more grilled, so it just wasn't what I thought, and I clearly didn't pay to much attention to the menu description. Once again our waiter could not have been more understanding or nice about it. Instead I ordered the linguine past with grilled prawns (it was one of the specials) and I loved it!!! The pasta had the perfect amount of olive oil and garlic, the prawns were grilled to perfection. Everything tasted wonderful! My husband got the filet mignon, and he loved it. It was juicy, and cooked to perfection! His grandparents ordered the grilled lamb chops and they looked delicious. Personally I'm not a fan of lamb but they said it was very flavorful. The best part was the dessert. We got passion fruit gelato... it was exquisite!!! I could taste the strong flavor of passion fruit! It honestly tasted like the real fruit! The chocolate cake we got was scrumptious!!! We loved every bite of it!! This is a wonderful restaurant with great foodAnd amazing staff!!! More...
The Veal Piccata was a 10.Great vibe and atmosphere. We sat on the patio.
Gina was a great waitress. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the Risotto or Pesto Gnocchi. Great location and drinks.
Everything we have had at Il Corso has been delicious. We have been here twice now and both times were fantastic. We would come more often if we lived closer. The spinach raviolis with butter and sage are so good. The lamb chop was superb and all of the desserts are good too. This is a beautiful, busy place and satisfies these genuine Italians! It's not easy to please us when it comes to Italian food. More...
I think this is my favorite restaurant. The food is ah-mazing. The ambiance is extraordinary. Last time we had a massive desert platter straight out of Tuscany with all the Italian specialties... Some lemon sorbet gin drink to die for... They have the best gelato. They have the best pastas...etc. But I LOVE the adorable Italian waiters who are straight from Italy and sooooo sweet. They make you feel like a princess. The chef came and sat with us... (We had 6 Italians at the table) It's literally such a treat every time I go. More...
Good food fair prices always full of people nice place to spend a few hours. We live in the area and mark regular trips reserve a table,If you do not see a dish you like they generally will make it.
We have the best lunch there today! We sat at their beautiful patio with the misters & Byron was great helping us with our menu selections-we started with the calamari & burrata & heirloom tomatoes- amazing! Then we shared between the 3 of us the special linguini with salmon, swordfish, the baked chicken, homemade spinach ravioli & chicken ceaser & everything was delicious especially the ravioli. Definitely a highlight of our trip! More...
So I have gone back a couple times and had some great meals. The first was a big rehearsal dinner where all plates were served family style. Everything was terrific but for some reason my favorite dish of the whole meal was the antipasto. The parmesan cheese was so, so good. Other highlights included chicken piccata and fried calamari (not soggy or chewy at all). The mixed drinks at the bar were also fantastic.I went back for a standard dinner and the good times continued. Il Corso is known for their pasta but I was in a steak mood. My filet mignon was prepared well and the peppercorn sauce made the dish. That being said, the vegetables were the best part! The vegetable medley was extremely flavorful and I could not get enough. Fantastic place to eat. If you pay, you are treated like a rockstar. Full bar with everything your heart desires. I loved the eggplant melazane, but it was small. We all enjoyed some 1942 at a major price. We had a special request I won't get too into, but we chose our own tomatoes, had them sliced thick, wanted the heirlooms thick with burrata and basil but custom. We chose 3 tomatoes, they fixed a plate but our cheese was not burrata, it was motz, not the quality we were seeking, at all. And for 50$ it was a joke. They took advantage of someone who is willing to tip big and pay out to be taken care of. Not a fan after what I saw and what they gave us, Smiles and a table, but ripped off in the food dept and they made a pretty penny with drinks. More...
Restaurant was super full when we arrived and for good reason the food is phenomenal! We made a reservation but found the booth would suit us more. Bread and oil with crushed olives and garlic as a starter. 2 apps a salad with balsamic vinegar and steak to start and salmon carpaccio and then decided on the Ribeyes cooked very well to our desired temperature. Ended with homemade tiramisu. Excellent place for date night. Our server Marcos was great! More...

Increíble lugar, excelente menú y magnífica atención. Todo es delicioso y muy buen servicio desde el valet parking hasta la limpieza de sanitarios. Además con súper ubicación!
Nice local place. Really friendly people. Really good homemade foods.
Italian food, super good. The service was friendly and observant.
What a wonderful, romantic experience! In every facet, this night was charmed. Julian, in charge of our service team, when asked for recommendations, gave recommendations. They were spot on, right down to the wine matches for the meal. The patio was intimate and secluded even among all the activities surrounding us. I am an excellent eater, used to fine dining. The octopus was the best ever for me. I admit, usually a warm spinach salad is little different from the next one. This one had dry ricotta and was just a hint of sweetness. My entree was a risotto, prawn and scallops special. Breathtakingly well prepared, the scallops were actually memorable. My husband's filet was flawlessly prepared, incredibly tender and gently flavorful. Every aspect of this experience was memorable and wonderful. Thank you everyone at Il Corso. It was a special evening! More...
Here for the Easter dinner. The antipasto Buffet alone is worth the price of this epic fix meal. I will be back again and again but I know where I will be next Easter
Great authentic Italian food in the heart of el paseo. The decor was amazing and the food was even better. We got a few plates (not haha) and they all tasted amazing.
Amazing place. The decor inside is beautiful, and our waiter on the patio was personable, charming, knowledgeable and helpful. I started with the insalata tricolore (green salad) which was lightly dressed with a lemon vinegarette. Wonderful. I then had the special John Dory fish which is a light white fish slightly thicker than a filet of sole. It was served with julienned vegetables. It was soooo delicious with a very light lemony mustard? sauce. My family had lamb chops and veal scallopini, both loving their meals. Ask for the patio which is what I always do. More...

Enjoy quality and taste
Finally had a dinner reservation in the restaurant for our anniversary. Very elegant surroundings a little noisy being that it has stone walls and hardwood floors. Food was fabulous. Marco our waiter was very efficient and attentive. We had the scallopini, swordfish and pasta with salmon. All was very delicious. Nice complimentary dessert served on a large tile. I still enjoy the bar kitchen area the best. Although extremely crowded during this time with all the snow birds in town. Will return when less crowded. More...
Top notch customer service in every way. Each time I eat there I feel like we have 3 waiters. They have one for drinks, one for food orders, and one for tidying up our table. Exceptional food. Best food and dining experience in the desert by far. Staff absolutely amazing. Best restaurant in Palm Desert! I'm a local and have been to this restaurant many times both in the bar area and the dining. I like the bar area for a lighter dinner and drinks with friends and then entertaining clients and family in the dining area. My favorite and go to salad is the Insalata Tricolore and for main course Spigola All'Isolana and when in the bar area I love the Osso Buco Mini. Food is always delicious and I like being able to stroll along El Paseo. Valet parking is easy, however they also have free parking along the back with separate entrance if El Paseo is busy. Reservations are important, they are almost always busy. More...
Alway's consistent, never ever had a bad meal or bad service. Thank you to all the staff for making this an exceptional restaurant.
If you are considering this restaurant you are probably already in Palm Springs or a nearby community. While I would not drive 1000 miles to get to IlCorso, if you are already in the Coachella Valley and want very good food and a fun atmosphere, I strongly recommend this restaurant. I suspect it will be very busy during the upcoming tennis tournament. More...
Absolutely delicious enjoy their food and service every time. Love the Risotto and the chicken pomodoro and of course the Ricotta stuffed zucchini flour.
Loved the elegance and service! All our food choices were delicious. The staff was fab and personable .
We made a last minute reservation on a Friday night. Nothing was available on open table but we called and somebody had just canceled so we got a patio table. The place was packed when we arrived. We did not know they had valet parking so we parked a short walk away. The service was excellent. They brought me grilled veggies for an app as I requested vegan and gluten free. They said my pasta was also vegan and gf but I'm not sure as I had severe stomach pains after. I question whether some cheese was in my pasta Everybody else enjoyed calamari, pastas, veal, tiramisu and lemoncelo sorbet. They also had wines. Lovely atmosphere. More...

Nice happy hour. Friendly staff.
We really enjoy this restaurant! The food is so delicious, atmosphere is inviting, and excellent service! Just wow♡
The food is excellent! European style smaller plates full of flavor. The menu has excellent choices almost to the point of being overwhelming to choose from. I sat at the bar to avoid the wait for a table and the bar staff was very polite and prompt with drink refills. My only issue was that the host wouldn't sit us at an available table because he said someone had reserved it. That on its surface is understandable. The problem is that we spent 2.5 hours at the bar and no one ever came to that single table in the corner. Despite that, I highly recommend Il Corso! Perfect spot to impress a first date. Plan on $60+ per person with drinks. More...
This has been my favorite spot since it opened . Love the ambiance the food and the staff. All 5 star .

Il Corso is great! A lovely spot for lunch or dinner on El Paseo Dr.-staff is wonderful. They make their own pasta, breads and desserts, very very tasty!
The food & service were awesome I was happy with the entire meal for lunch!! Great restaurant and perfect spot for El Paseo:)
Great selection of food with the bar menu. Servers are excellent. Presentation of dishes was exceptional. Loved the spaghetti a olio, grilled calamari and shrimp
Excellent food service and would go again for sure l recommend the place ?The desert was delisous Ricotta del la Nonna baked by the chef Mario
Some of the best food and service we've had in the desert. Thank you to Chris for taking care of us yesterday. Will definitely return next time we are visiting.
The place was packed. You know the food will be good if the locals eat there. We were not disappointed. We ate at the bar and the service was excellent.

My husband and I had lunch there. He ordered the antipasto appetizer. It was full of thinly sliced, quality meats and cheese, olives and picled veggies. Their bread was excellent with a tasty olive tapenade. I ordered the frisee salad and I asked for chicken to be added. The thinly sliced breast meat was delicious. The service was good. I would definitely return, but a warning that the dinner entrees are pricey, but I believe of good quality, judging by the food served at lunch. More...

Real Italian flavors and steady good quality of the food and the ingredients. Good service in general, with less attention when the restaurant reaches its peak hours. The portions are definitely very small and for their size are expensive. We left the restaurant with a $340 bill for 4 people, ready to find a sandwich somewhere to complete our dinner. Looks more like a tasting than a real meal... More...

I've been waiting for this restaurant to open. We dined at il Corso Tuesday evening, the second night it was open. I had a delicious meal of salad, pasta and wine. Such wonderful atmosphere, with the hand cut stone and glass plus nearly night club lighting but in a good way. Terrific food, from the crisp salad to fresh fish to the pasta options. Great food and service.
My favorite Italian restaurant in all of Coachella Valley.....authentic Northern Italian food which is always consistently good. The hostesses are always very accommodating, joyful, with NO attitude. Usually, the waiters are very efficient BUT, my last visit was an exception. However, I will return because his aloof attitude should not be allowed to have a negative effect to this restaurant for me......I will just request another section. More...

Great food and ambiance
Absolutely great experience! Our server was named Angelo and he was absolutely amazing. My mom was having stomach pain so he immediately noticed and offered a bitters remedy. He also brought over mint tea without asking. Service was top notch. Angelo offered several tastes of wine before we purchased three bottles. Food was amazing. He custom ordered a brand new now with lemon caper sauce with vegetables on the side. Everything was made to perfection, and not overcooked. Pappardelle pasta with Ragu sauce was al Dente and perfectly done. Veal was crunchy and flavorful great as well! The inside of the restaurant was beautiful with high ceilings. Fully stocked bar with Louis the 13th at hand. Not a party place but great for a family dinner or a romantic date night. Definitely would come More...

Great food. Great service. And after overhearing that it was my wife's birthday, the attentive waiter brought a beautiful desert on a granite slab on which they wrote"happy birthday" in chocolate sauce. I don't have a single to say that isn't complimentary. More...
Food is always delicious and in the hot summer months, their small plates with a shared salad, beliismo! BTW, the restaurant design is very NYC/LA...love it.
Friendly Bar Staff.
Early August and the place was packed! I now know why. The staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. I had the best swordfish I've ever had in the desert. It was fresh and cooked to perfection. It was a birthday celebration and you know they did that right. I'll be back! More...
Another 5 Stars for another great night of food and service. We started with the Insalada Ponzenella and one had the Veal Raviloli soup. Both were great to start off our meal. People in our party had the Bistteca Al Ferri Bone in Ribeye, Branzino Isolana and Solgliola Al Forno Dover Sole (de boned tableside). Everyone said the meals were outstanding. The service here is top notch and all are very friendly. We look forward to our next visit when in Palm Desert. If you have not tried Il Corso, you are missing out on a great dining experience. Great Food, lovely atmosphere and incredible service. Has gluten free and vegan options as well.
Excellent pasta dishes, best I've had in the desert.
Delicious. Beautiful place.
Clean place, good food. Meatballs in ciabbatta, yummy! Also you need to taste octopus carpaccio, it's delicious! Soups are perfect for kids. Quite and elegant place.
Do lunch here
It appears to be a small family Italian restaurant when you walk in but there is plenty of seating in the back. We had the pizza that was thin crust and delicious. My son ate the entire huge bowl of Fettuccini Alfredo. And my oldest son who is very picky ate the whole chicken panini even with the red peppers on it. Excellent food and excellent service. More...
The food was fantastic, the ambience is terrific but it’s crowded, noisy, and bustling waiters make it a hectic surrounding so don’t expect a quiet dinner.
Great italian food
Italian food at its best. Great atmosphere, great service, great food = Il Corso.
My husband and I visit Palm Desert twice a year for a few days, and Il Corso is by far our favorite restaurant. We are both vegans (+fish for me) and the kitchen always has options that work well for us. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the food they serve, professional and friendly. We always feel pampered and at home when we visit. Thanks so much for your hospitality! More...
Great ambience, great food, great service. I love to sit at the bar and the bartenders are knowledgeable and great conversationalists. Will return.
Best italian. Great location great staff!
Beautiful restaurant, impeccable service. Food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. Tris Fume de pesce is a must try. Tagliere siciliano was delicious. For the main course vitello alla pizziola and vitello di milanese are amazing. Veal was so tender. Desert was delicious too. Try the spinach salad with dry ricotta. You will not be disappointed! Several times a year I travel to southern California for business. During my month long stay I make time to visit my wife's father and his wife who live in Palm Desert. We have created a lunch time tradition and over the years they have exposed me to many fine restaurants. My most recent visit included lunch at Il Corso for a party of four. I was impressed the moment we walked in the door. The interior design is quite imaginative and the high ceiling open space is filled with creative accents like the cardboard cutout orbs which serve as pendant lighting. There are at least two floor to ceiling glass architectural features, the bar back and the wine cellar. Linens on the tables and comfortable chairs invite you to sit down and begin your dining experience. Our waiter was playful and engaging describing the specials and highlights of the menu. He answered our questions and pointed out a bottle of Lail Sauvignon Blanc which was (specially) priced so low I couldn't say no. Two of us ordered the scampi special, one ordered the Insalata di Bietole (beet) salad and I can't remember the other (getting old I guess). We split two appetizers; the Fiori di Zucchine Ripiene (zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta) and the Pomodori e Burrata (heirloom tomato with mozzarella and basil). Both appetizers were delivered quickly to our table. Both were delicious with a nice balance of acidic flavors complementing the mellow characteristics of the cheeses. The scampi came with whole shrimp sliced in half with shell on and meat exposed on either side set atop a nest of capellini pasta. A treat for the eyes as much as the palate. The beat salad was visually striking as well with fresh greens and vegetables in contrasting colors. The scampi was delicious but I found the shrimp slightly overcooked and somewhat difficult to extricate from the shell. A slight imperfection that did not hinder my enjoyment of the dish. I ate about half of my companion's beet salad and it was a terrific third course with the sweetness of the beets taking my tastebuds full circle in the meal. The Lail Sauv Blanc turned out to be a good pairing with all the flavors of the food. The wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive. Beverage and bread refills occurred without being noticeable and without having to be prompted. The waiter was a fine captain keeping the sails trimmed to propel our our cruise through lunch.Could have easily been five stars if not for the small stumble in the preparation of the shrimp. I would definitely return to Il Corso. More...
Friendly staff a d food was great. Ordered the stuffed chicken and wasn't let down.
Service and food excellent. Nice menu selection with additional specials
Go for the specials! We love this place and Chef Mario is a gem. Escape the heat and enjoy great pasta. We also had the cannoli a d it was great!

Simple elegance, delicious authentic, Italian food.
We bought a vacation home a little over a year ago in Palm Desert. We've tried many quality restaurants...but by far Il Corso is our favorite go to restaurant. The staff and all employees are so welcoming...even bring our golden retriever Bailey water when we dine on patio. The ambiance and food are the best! We look forward to dining every time we are in the desert. I would sugguest making reservations. Highly recommend!!! More...
Awesome food awesome service great selection on menu every thing I have ever tried is delicious one of the better Italian places I have been to a must stop in Palm Deser
Great food and ambiance
We enjoyed the ambiance, lovely service, the food...simply divine!
The Zucchini frita, pappardelle and specials were excellent, some of the best Italian in the desert, will return
Great ambience and wine selection!
Thank you chef for a most memorable evening!!
Very good Italian restaurant. The veal parmigiana was one of the best I ever had. Service was also prefect. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and great food.
Lamb chops are phenomenal... Can't believe how amazing their food was.
Love the bar menu. Especially the chicken parmigiana.
Great pizza and one of the best Carbonara's I've ever had. Sat in the bar area, great service and ambience. Price was good too, a great spot for dinner.
Excellent Italian food! Started with the Zuchini flowers and it was delicious! Next I had the pasta w/ lobster. It was very good as well, but I think I should have gotten the waiter's suggestion of the tagliettelle. It sounded amazing!
Favorite restaurant when we visit!!! Every time we come to visit my husband & I have to eat here!! We absolutely love it!! Food is excellent, service is great, & ambience is wonderful!! More...
Awesome food and service. Everything is made in house. Highly recommend this place.
Il Corso Is an amazing experience. First, it is located on the very upscale El Paseo street. The service is second to none. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding, the fresh pasta, appetizers and wine list are are exceptionally paired. The restaurant itself is spectacular. The high ceilings, the wine wall, and the high top seating make this one of the best dining experiences in the desert. More...
This restaurant is perfect for a date night! Located in El Paseo shopping district which is a beautiful area. The ambiance inside is just perfect. We had amazing service, I wish I could remember our waiter's name!! My boyfriend and I ordered the Black Linguini with seafood and it was one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had in mylife!! My boyfriend and I decided to split the dish and our waiter split the pasta into two different bowls right in front of us. I am glad we split the dish because we were both able to finish our food without getting too full. The only issue I have is that the menu posted on Yelp is not correct and shows cheaper prices for the menu items, so keep that in mind if you choose to eat at this restaurant! After our dish, my boyfriend and I ordered cappuccino and raspberry gelato and it was so good mixed together!! Definitely 10/10 recommend this restaurant if you are in Palm Desert for vacation!! Absolutely a fantastic place to eat. Been going here for 4 years and the word " Consistent " is what this place is known for. Love the service , atmosphere and the staff. Get to know them and you are family. My personal favorite is the Zucchini flower for appetizer and the swordfish for entree. Can't believe all the cry babies on here , must be Democrats. More...
I've gone back since my last review and I had the spinach ravioli with saffron cream sauce, Tartufo, and my friend ordered the beef meatball appetizer. Spinach ravioli is good! The cream sauce was delicious too. Next time I go, I'm going to ask if I can substitute the saffron cream sauce for the tomato basil sauce; which is my favorite sauce they serve. The Tartufo (ice cream dessert) is so good! I like their whipped cream (which they add on their desserts), it has a light, airy texture with the perfect amount of sweetness. My friend ordered the beef meatballs in tomato basil sauce with peas, and loved it. More...
This review is well overdue. I lived in the desert for 4 years and this restaurant is in my top 5. I now live in LA but still eat here twice a month. It's the Bolognese that keeps bringing me back perfectly balanced and consistent every time. One of the few restaurants that serves gluten-free spaghetti which is the only option if your gluten-free penne sucks. The ricotta stuffed zucchini blossoms are great I get them with honey rather than marinara. The veal chop (not on the menu) they will make it if you ask nicely is also an all-time favorite. Waiting patiently for the palm springs location to open. Eat here you will not be disappointed- I'm a chef and eat for a living. More...
My wife and I dined at this restaurant on our anniversary and I cannot tell you enough how impressed we were with the service the food the ambience and everything about this restaurant. You could tell they really love bringing good dishes to their customers and it was like every dish was made special just for us. Il Corso is top notch and we'll be back for more. More...
Great everything always! Been coming here since they opened and never disappointed! We travel the world and I'm not fond of restaurants in general. Love everything about this place!
A wonderful place for a meal with friends. I had the veal piccata, which had a great balance of flavors. I think the service from Jose really turned the meal into an experience. We will be back!
Incredible Italian seafood. Fantastic atmosphere and service. Team dinner began with some delicious apps of meatballs and cauliflower crusted ricotta cheese. My main was the house specialty chiopino. Incredible!!One of the best I've ever had. Flavorful broth, succulent mussels, lobster and clams. Breathtaking!!I'd highly recommend this place!! More...
Wow! Can't believe we haven't been here sooner... Monday night & the place was packed, except for the Chef's Bar overlooking the kitchen. Very happily sat there, watching the very talented pizza chef from Firenze. Warm bread brought with a olive oil tapenade - not sure if it was olives or , but it was very good. Pomodoro & Burrata was excellent - tasty heirloom tomatoes & very fresh cheese - could have used more basil & we added some balsamic & sea salt, but the basic ingredients were excellent. About that sea salt - asked for some and the pizza chef brought us a little bowl of Maldon! You know they're quality when the sea salt is Maldon. Pizza chef made us a complimentary plate of pizza dough bread, which was warm, chewy & delicious - such a nice touch. My melanzane involtini were very tasty - still confused about the angel hair pasta IN it, but it was very good, so not complaining. Husband's linguini (he asked for it & they easily complied - can't remember what pasta it's usually made with) Vongele was delicious - lots of Manila clams in an excellent broth, reminiscent of what you get on the Amalfi Coast, which is hard to find here. He used up all of the bread finishing off that sauce! My only complaint was a wine list a bit weak on Italian whites - would have liked a nice Greco di Tufo, Kerner, or something more interesting that Pinot Grigio, Gavi di Gavi & Vermentino. Service was fantastic - from almost every need anticipated & those that weren't, what we asked for provided quickly & with a smile, the thoughtfulness of the pizza chef & fun conversation with him, to the Manager's (I assume..) sincere hope that all was to expectations and request for feedback. All good & hope to be back soon! After coming out here for 30 years, so many dining disappointments in the desert, but I think we found a winner and the chef's counter bar is a HUGE bonus!!!UPDATE: Wanted to retract what I said about the wine - the list of Italians is actually quite large and impressive. Their wine list overall is excellent. I guess just not the Italian whites ones I know and love, so that's my issue... More...
Amazing food and service. The waiting staff are so wonderful and attentive to your every need. Truly some of the best service I have ever received. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the desert. More...
Excellent food! The octopus salads is great, delicious pizza, incredible bread, great service and aperal spritz!!
I was drawn to this place walking down El Paseo. After checking the reviews on Yelp, we decided to try it. Even though it was busy we were able to be seated right away at the food bar (Tom Abbot from the Golf Channel was also seated at the food bar!). I have already recommended this place to a friend that was coming in for Easter Sunday. Our server, Suzi, took great care of us and made sure we had a great experience. Our Insalata di Carciofi and Pomodori e Burrata was brought and Suzi prepared them and presented them that would make any chef proud. They were both fresh and flavorful. The Linguini Nari alto Scogiio was full of fresh seafood and the broth was excellent. Milanese was cooked and season perfectly and it came with an arugula salad. I would have preferred a side of pasta even though I should be eating healthier. I definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu, maybe not all at once. More...

This restaurant is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The pomodori burrata is amazing as well as the pasta dishes.
This place has good food and a pleasant atmosphere, but could be better for the money. Booking ahead or avoiding peak times is recommended. Our wait for a table was supposed to be an hour, but our group of 5 lucked out with a table opening up within 10 mins. We sat at a table closer to the front, and started off with some wine and appetizers, including calamari and cheese with tomatoes (tomatoes with burrata) The cheese was delicious, but the tomatoes seemed a little old, and the calamari, while well seasoned, was of average quality. My friends enjoyed the wine, but it was a bit pricey for a bottle, at about $130. I ordered the Milanese di Vitello with salad instead of potatoes. The veal was delicious and the salad was pretty great. I ordered some tea for a beverage but all they had was black tea and sleepy time tea. I embarrassingly broke open one of the tea packets, which is probably due to my lack of tea experience and patience for unusual packaging. They were nice enough to bring another bag after righteously giving me a little flack for eviscerating the tea bag vertically. Our desert dessert (always wanted to say that) was the tiramasu, which included a cake with little chocolate bits on the top. I enjoyed the chocolate and the frosting but did not care much for the cake. My friends at the table did not care much for the cake as well, as it was not anything extraoardinary. Overall our dinner was very enjoyable and sumptuous but for the price I expected better. Not anything I would visit again if I came back to the area. More...
Food was delicious but if they offer you the patio -say no. It is basically tables right on the sidewalk. The traffic noise is very loud
Friendly staff, nice ambience and good food. I enjoyed Calamari piccata. I wished I got my drink sooner because I was very tired and I needed to unwind after the long drive.

I think the best restaurant in the valley. They really know what great food is all about. I had the mussels and the rib eye steak. They were fantastic! My partner had the carpaccio, tagliatelle, and the halibut. They were phenomenal!!!! Silvano, our server was professional and friendly. The best dining experience in the valley. It's all about the food and the people. More...
Loved the food at this place. Got the linguine neri (squid ink pasta) - on the menu, it says that it comes with a tomato sauce, and I was initially worried that the tomato would overwhelm the flavor of the seafood in the dish. But it turned out to be the perfect complement, since the sauce had an olive oil base with a light amount of acidity. The atmosphere was great too! High industrial ceilings, maybe a little loud, but once it cleared out, the acoustics were perfect. More...
Always outstanding food and service love this place
Great ambiance, great food and great service! Miss the piano music.

Amazing place! Great food and service. Very modern design. We liked every bite of our dinner. We had Oso Buca for main course, stuffed zucchini for appetizer and tiramisu for desert. Amazing!
Best restaurant in town , nice people. Best food . 5*+
A new find for me! Nice ambience once I got into hearing the 90's music; we chose outdoor seating- good; excellent waiter; quite a menu and we each chose something different: Sea bass with potatoes, tomatoes asparagus and Greek olives; Spinach ravioli with tomato basil sauce; Lamb chops with sautéed spinach and potatoes--all delicious and cooked as requested. Of course we did have wine- Frank Family 2014 Pinot Noir- perfect for all of our meals. Most definitely went for dessert: Tiramisu, Truffles with vanilla ice, cream and for gluten-free choice: Panna cotta with chocolate sauce and blackberries! Yum! Will want to return here! We ate our meals before thinking about photos, but dessert photos are here. More...

Great food! Every time I come to this place I'm just LOVING it! The service is great too. Awsome bar menu!
We love Il Corso. All of the food is great and the service is outstanding. Emilio, Todd and Etni are outstanding servers. Their tomatoes cannot be found anywhere else in the Valley and maybe even a larger area. The Chicken Parmigiana and Penne Arrabiata on the bar menu are sensational! The entire restaurant is immaculately clean, which we really appreciate! More...

Great food...super pleasant atmosphere...friendly professional wait staff..
Best Italian restaurant in the Coachella Valley. Looking forward to their second location in Downtown Palm Springs
Upscale and classy restaurant. Fine dining with a true essence of Italy. With excellent freshly prepared dishes and food that does not sit heavy or get you nauseous, unlike other food spots that must drown their already prepped meals with some sauces to make it more desirable, not here though. With a huge wine selection, and other alcohols, this was a all round great spot! More...

Well, probably my 10th or 11th time at IL Corso and I am with Lenard W., hard to believe any bad reviews here because I've yet to have bad service. Last night we were celebrating my wife's Graduation from college tonight! We had 7 in our party and From our server ** Carlos, and Caesar and Andrew **, The Service was "spot on" not hovering but they make you Feel like "Royalty". They are constantly walking around and staring if you need anything they are right there like bam refill, bam fork or napkin here you go More...
The service was outstanding! So accommodating and attentive. Home made bread was wonderful and the happy hour wine selection was really nice. We will be back!
I took my high school daughter on Monday night for last minute date with dad, had a very nice dinner. It was day after Easter and restaurant was packed. We called ahead and only had room at 7pm on patio where the mister was annoying, but they turned off right when sun went down and we finished. Otherwise, great patio if not too hot, endless & delicious bread (my daughter's favorite), helpful and attentive staff, on the expensive side. Lots of dressed up diners, valet in front. They ran out of burrata cheese appetizer, so i was bummed. Gnocci was awesome. More...

They have an amazing Prosciutto and arugula pizza, make sure you ask for extra olive oil on the side to pour all over it...
Love this place! We've visited twice and each time was great service, great food, great drinks. The calamari is my favorite. However I will say we do always choose the bar area because the dining area was way too packed. My boyfriend almost knocked over a table because the tables leave little room to get to your seat. Plus I hate sharing my table with strangers, which is what it also felt like. And the way that we like to eat, well there wasn't enough room at those tables anyways lol, Way more room at the tabletops by the bar. So that's my only complaint. More...
Beautiful setting, great food and friendly chef, Mario, who came to our table and made sure we were enjoying the food. We sat at the bar area and soon found that they have happy hour all night! Wines are $8 a glass and most dishes at happy hour are around $10! We had a pleasant experience. More...
As usual, the service was excellent, and the food was fabulous! The veal chop was "fall off the bone" tender, and the Tiramisu was wonderful. It's always a pleasure.

I'm always pleased when we are able to enjoy dinner @ Il Corso. The food & environment are exceptional. I find it hard to believe when I read the negative reviews. We've probably eaten here ~ 12 times. Every experience has been marvelous. I've recommended Il Corso to 15 friends visiting the Coachella Valley over the years. Every person has raved about the food, drinks, & atmosphere. Looking forward to going back on our next visit to the valley. More...
I can't say enough great things about Il Corso. I frequent this restaurant on an almost weekly basis and I have never had a negative experience. I typically sit in the bar area and order off the bar menu, but I also like many entrees off the main menu, particularly the trofie pesto and the branzino. The staff is great, the bartender(s) are nice and best of all, they remember you when you come in! Try Il Corso, you won't be disappointed. More...

Came here with my tennis team last night and I was thoroughly satisfied. Place is very clean and has a top-notch staff. Food is very good and I wish I could've ordered everything on the menu! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the portions are minuscule! I was glad I ordered a salad because if I had only ordered the pasta dish I would still be very hungry. Overall very great place, just be prepared for some higher prices for smaller portions, but very good food. More...
